The place was crazy busy not Because people where dining in, there where a lot of take out the door constantly opening and closing we ordered and waited at Least half and hour I went to use the bathroom it was filthy, I did not use it. Seated quickly, order taken and drinks brought quickly. Friendly staff. Food did take awhile but worth the wait and acceptable for fresh made food! Everything was tasty and well done. We were a larger group, shared several items and everything was great. Only negative was that every individual plate meal was cool/cold? The appetizers and soup were nice and warm! I have no idea how this place is so high rated stay away. It is not worth it. The customer service is horrible. The waitresses act like they are their held against their will. It takes 10 minutes to get seated. They act like it's a trouble to take your order. Bring your water get your food ordered. My spring rolls, when she brought them out the wrap around the vegetables. The rice paper wrap was bust open on them and said oh well that one busted open when I made it but there you go..... I had ordered a soup. It was supposed to come with limes. The lime was so dry. You couldn't even squeeze it to get any juice out of it. I don't know how they got it that dry. I've attached a picture. My girlfriend got a what was supposed to be a nine dollar lunch special but if you choose a meat it's more and she chose shrimp. It was supposed to be four dollars more. She got four shrimp for four dollars and I've attached a picture of those what ended up being $16 lunch special. It was pathetic. Great service! Place was very clean. We got the coconut soup, the chicken noodle soup and the soups were HUGE portions and sooo full of flavor. We also got the drunken noodles with beef which were awesome. Also got the chicken phad Thai it was tasty. Will def go back!!! read more

We went on a Friday at around 6:00. We were seated quickly with a smile. Drinks and food order were taken care of in a reasonable amount of time. Although it did take about 40 minutes to get our food I was reminded how consistently great the food always is. Our server was working her tail off and took good care of us. Zero complaints. I'm so disappointed in the service, or lack there of my family experience on our last visit. We sat right away and ordered hot tea and coffee. We didn't get a tea selection (we had to share a tea pot because they ran out) and it was warm at best and the coffe was on the weaker side. We placed our order (appetizer and 3 main dishes). And we waited. And waited. And waited. Finally after 45 minutes, we decided to leave. Not one time did anyone come to our table to check on us, refill our drinks, or give us an order update. How utterly disappointing. We walked to the cashier, asked for the check and they rang us up for warm tea and weak coffee and we were out of there. How super offensive. If it was packed I would have more understanding but we were 1 of 6 tables there and watching other people (who got there after us) get their appetizers/food and us there with empty cups. For a town that's seriously lacking in good cuisine, Dusit is a rare gem. This place offers good and authentic Thai food at a really reasonable price. Quick and easy place to go for dinner or to order take out from on a whim. Although it's often super packed during lunch, if you're able to sneak in before the town's antiquated alarm system lets everyone know it's noon, you'll find a fantastic lunch menu full of great dishes. The yellow curry is delicious and smooth, the pad Thai is a bit too sticky but frequently ordered (ask to order up a spice level or two for an extra kick), and even though one can't really mess up pineapple fried rice (although tbh, I probably could), it's always fluffy with just the right amount of spice. Staff is friendly, and there's one waitress in particular who often flirts with my husband, but we don't ever get a discount from it, so I think maybe she's just super friendly and flirts with everyone Overall, it's a great restaurant. read more

This place has become my absolute favorite spot in town since I moved here at the beginning of the year. I haven't explored the menu too much, because the first time I ever went I tried the yellow curry and I have been addicted to it since. My mother is a huge fan of the pad thai, which I have tried and can verify is really tasty. They also offer varying degrees of heat, from "none" to "burn your face off," if that's your thing. Their eggrolls are delicious, and the sauce they serve with them is just ridiculous, so good! Waits are never bad, but if you're ordering during dinnertime this covid season, expect to wait a tiny bit longer than the 10 minutes it normally takes them to serve up some of the best food in town. read more

My friend got the Thai steak which was good. I got the Bangkok rice noodles with chicken. It was really plain. Not much seasoning and the vegetables were too crisp for my taste. Really wanted too like this place but my order wasn't fresh. Noodles were overcooked and meal had cold and warm spots. There were clumps of food with flat spots which to me indicated it was removed from a container and reheated. For the price it should have been freshly prepared. Thai restaurant in Mountain Home...! It's good but stick to the Thai specialties. The Pho was a tiny bowl with no veggies , really garlic-y, and 11 dollars . Highest price pho Ive ever had and arguably the smallest portion and worst product . The summer(spring rolls) are good but need to add a shrimp or something to them. I've had the pad Thai and it's good but tonight Dusit Thai didn't put out a good Noodle soup product. I'll come back for a traditional Thai dish next time and avoid the Vietnamese fare. UPDATE: 12/9/19. Dusit has a new location. There no behind KFC in the strip mall. It's a upscale style setting with Edison lights hung from the sealing. Plenty of seating, bright and cheery. Service is still excellent. My favorite waitress is "Lovely" she can put a smile on your face in 5 seconds. Go to Dusit new location and enjoy there great food in a new brighter space. This is the only Thai place in Mountain Home. Their menu has all the normal Thai offerings. A very nice young couple owns Dusti. The place is very clean, service is great, our favorite server is a beautiful young lady named Lovely. She is very fast and considerate of everyone's needs. If I had to pick my favorite items to order, fresh spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce, coconut soup, drunken noodle. The food isn't overwhelmingly spiced. If you like hot Thai maybe ask for their chili sauce they keep behind the counter. This restaurant is in a strip mall. Don't let that detour you. I promise you won't regret eating here. read more

For the last few years when we are on vacation in Arkansas we always make at least one trip here for dinner during our week stay. Customer service is great along with piping hot food served fresh and authentic. At home I never go out of my way to eat Thai food, but when we're down in Arkansas I have to hit this place up. During our recent dining experience there was six of us and the server was extremely patient with taking our orders from a decent size party. For starters, we ordered spring rolls which tasted outstanding along with their sweet and sour sauce. For food I made a point last year to order this year the Pineapple Fried Rice I saw family members eating. This dish did not disappoint and I added beef to the rice. So good with the perfect amount of sweetness from the pineapple in the rice. My husband ordered a red curry dish special and he was apprehensive about ordering it as he had never been a fan of curry. He instantly became a fan eating this dish and was highly impressed with how much he liked it. When your in the Mountain Home area give this place a try!!! We'll be back next year!!! read more

I searched for vegetarian and this was the only place that I found within a 30 mile radius, so I decided to stop by. The menu had a variety of dishes that could be made with tofu, but I'm not big on tofu or any type of soy, so I opted out. I chose to get a seafood dish knowing that it probably wasn't the best idea. The restaurant itself isn't the nicest thing to look at, but I figured I'd take a chance. I decided to order a seafood combo that came with shrimp, scallops, fish and calamari. I wanted to ensure that it was spicy, so the waitress told me to pick a number between 1-6. I chose 3 because I didn't know how hot they make their dishes. I probably should have went with a 4 or 5. The food came out hot and fast. The flavor was just okay and it had a lot of sauce on the plate, so maybe the flavor was all in the sauce. The scallops and shrimp were pretty large, but I only had a few pieces of calamari and and small piece of fish (about a forkfull). After tasting the fish, I realized that it was catfish. The price wasn't bad at all for all the seafood combo and that should have been another red flag that I probably shouldn't have got the seafood from that place. Lets just say I paid for it in more than one way. The curry dishes may have had more flavor, but I wouldn't recommend the seafood dish. read more

Dust Thai was one of my go-to places from the time it opened in its old location...the kind of place you'd bring out of town friends to so you could hear them say "wow!" That's not true any longer. Eggplant had maybe 4 pieces of eggplant in it. Sauces were a greasy mess. Everything else was lackluster. They didn't even have satay--really? This place has gone downhill. I've always enjoyed eating here but they've changed my mind. My wife and I went in and I ordered a favorite of mine, the seafood with cashew nut. Used to be awesome, but this time it was literally all celery and cashews. I had 3 shrimp, a scallop and no fish. Management did not seem to care. I wasn't able to finish my plate, what used to be an amazing dish that was full of flavor, tasted of nothing more but celery. My wife ordered her food and it had maybe 2 ounces of fish and the rest was nothing but onions. We asked if it was under new management or ownership and was told no. But I didn't recognize anyone in this place. Been eating here for years. We will not be returning. 60 dollars for an egg roll appetizer and a dish of onions and some celery soup. I visited Dusit Thai the other day and it was a very pleasant experience. The food and service was very good. I ordered the Tom Kah soup and the green curry salmon. The soup was hot (not spicy) and very flavorful. The salmon came with asparagus, avocado and a side of rice. Everything was tasty. My only critiques are the salmon was a tad overcooked (I prefer a medium rare cook), there could have been more green curry sauce and it could've been more spicy. Soups we ordered were "1/2" orders and they were huge and full of large Shrimp , Scallops, and Chicken. The brotha were Amazing in each. Our mains were super as well . In Mountain Home on business, and I always strive to eat at local restaurants when I travel. I found Dusit Thai listed on several travel apps, but it wasn't coming up in my Yelp search for my area. Having just gorged on BBQ in the Carolinas and Tennessee, I was ready for something different. Ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Chicken Drunken Noodles, and some summer rolls. Lunch portions were $7.75 and came with an eggroll, Springs rolls were $4 for a pair of decently stuffed wraps (although lacking any protein, the peanut sauce was chunky and delicious). Everything was fresh tasting and honestly far exceeded my expectations. Flavors were a tad "Americanized" compared to some other Thai food I have eaten (mild seasoning, sweeter, less funky fish sauce and sour tamarind) but balanced with plenty of fresh basil and seasoning. Portion sizes were decent - well worth the price. Definitely an excellent choice - I will undoubtedly be back again on my next trip through town. read more

Dusit Thai was taken over by different ownership a few years ago and then moved to it's current location shortly after (and keep in mind they've had to deal with the whole Covid craziness). The food changed a bit (I generally get pad cashew and it has changed, not sure how I can state how it has). Was my favorite Mountain Home restaurant, but after the wretched service and terrible food I received today I will never return. My husband and I arrived at 11:20. We placed our order of pad thai and hot teas. A small tea pot with tepid water was served - just enough for the two of us to have a half a cup. Called the waiter over and was told sorry, no more tea pots. Asked him to at least put more water in the tea pot on the table. More tepid water was served. We did not see him again for 45 minutes. The restaurant was half full. Two tables who arrived after us were served. When our meal arrived it was cold. I returned mine and asked for hot food. Almost 15 minutes later my plate was returned. It had been microwaved. The plate was warm but the food was cold. The spring roll was a disgusting soggy mess. I asked the waiter what was going on. I was told they were very busy with take out orders. Obviously at the expense of those of us trying to dine in. What a huge inconvenience we must be, what with wanting beverage service and warm food.
