We kicked things off with the fresh rolls, and let me just say... the peanut sauce? ON. POINT. Creamy, nutty perfection that I may or may not have considered drinking with a straw. Then came the spicy noodles with chicken -- and y'all, it's that perfect level of heat that hits, lingers just enough, and somehow makes you crave another bite. But the real showstopper? The green curry. Absolute flavor bomb. Coconut and curry in perfect harmony -- rich but not heavy, spicy but smooth. I legit paused mid-bite to say, "Wait, this is really good." When I went, the weight was very long most of the food going out was for people that ordered ahead and just came to pick up their food for takeout. The bathrooms were filthy so I did not use it. We finally got our food and when I got home, I got sick. I'm not saying that it was this food. I don't have any evidence, but that's what happened. read more

Mont Thai is very much authentic Thai food unlike the neighboring Thai restaurant that is more "Farong" which is the Thai equivalent to saying "Gringo" for a Mexican talking about a Caucasian American. If your new to Thai food, you must order Thai Iced Tea, or Iced Coffee!!! How do I know Mont Thai is authentic? I've been to Thailand about a dozen times in my life, and I married one of the most beautiful Thai woman about 21 years ago. She still looks hot like I eat my Thai food. We've never had a bad meal here! However, I eat my wife's great Thai food every week as well, so it is rare that we visit Mont Thai. My wife and I travelled a lot for my job, so we have eaten at some spectacular Thai restaurants in big cities, and in Phoenix some of our Thai friends owned restaurants across the valley. While Mont Thai is not at the top of the list for best Thai restaurants in America, for a Thai restaurant in Arkansas, it is very good, and would be hard to beat!!! I'm not sure why Sandy S. had such an average meal and review, it must have been an off night. Hmmmm.... Okay, but nothing great. This is a very small place with about 9 tables I think. The lady who took our order was super friendly and attentive. The food was just okay. I am somewhat of a Thai food snob and have eaten at some of the best Thai food restaurants in many big cities. This compares to none of them. We ordered chicken satay and this was the best thing we got and it wasn't because of the chicken, it was the peanut sauce.... They make a very good peanut sauce that we were told they make fresh themselves. We also got the pineapple fried rice, okay, but the most taste came from the cashews, other than that not much taste. Also ordered the asparagus with chicken and it again was okay but nothing to write home about. The thing is you are in a small town with nothing else around so.... It is better than nothing. We ate here about two years ago and were pleased. Came back and were equally impressed. Small non impressive restaurant but the hostess/ waitress was the same woman. Comes across "gruff" but is not. Very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent again. Flavorful and interesting and good size portions. Only con would be to please clean bathroom (hopefully kitchen is cleaner). Wow! What a hidden gem. This place is really yummy, solid, authentic Thai. I am from Los Angeles and live near Thai Town in east Hollywood, and this place has better food than many of the places i have tried there ! Such a pleasant surprise when i was craving Thai while visiting my family in Arkansas. The chef and one of waitresses is Thai so im guessing this is a family business. Ordered: Pinapple fried rice with chicken Padthai with beef Spicy papaya salad Cup of tom yum goong soup Boba milk tea All were delicious, flavorful, and meat was soft and thinly sliced. All the authentic flavors spot on. The sweet and sour elements of the soup and padthai were perfect. Stopped in this little place while passing through. Both of us had Pad Thai w/shrimp. Also a side of spring rolls. Taste, serving size and quality was really good. Lots of big shrimp in this dish! I would have preferred options for mild and spicy when ordering but not available. So while it was very good, it would have been great with some heat. Service was very attentive. The beef in the tai beef salad tasted like it had turned, very unpleasant smell and taste. My stomach was upset almost immediately after leaving. I'm no stranger to tai food and was very surprised to see all the good reviews. My guts have been messed up for a couple days now, just from the little I ate. My wife and I have been trying to find another amazing go-to restaurant outside of KTs for a good while now, and nowhere has really been hitting the spot, until we tried this place. It is the most amazing thai restaurant we have ever been to, and overall is not matched, compared to others who have similar menus, not to mention they have the best service we could ever ask for! The first time we went to Mont Thai, we got their orange chicken, pineapple fried rice and their milk tea bubble tea. It was so amazing that we have been there four times in the past few weeks just to get their bubble tea and pineapple fried rice! I visited Mont Thai the other day and was very pleased with everything from the service to the food. I ordered Tom Kah soup and the red curry salmon. The soup was very nice and flavorful. The salmon was crispy, it came with a side of rice. The curry was thick, very tasty and plentiful enough to last until the very last bite. The only minor issues I had were the salmon was a bit overcooked for my liking (as I prefer a medium rare cook) and I ordered a medium level of spice/heat and it was still pretty mild.
