We were preparing to put our home up for sale and we hired Dussault Moving & Storage to store some of our property while the house was being shown and they would deliver it when we moved. Dussault delivered our belongings and they had no regard for our furniture or other items. We looked at our dining room set that they delivered and it has a big chunk out of it and it is scrapped on the side. The filing cabinet they put in my office, has big scratches and gouges on it. We marked our boxes with stickers showing if the items in it were fragile or heavy. They carelessly placed fragile items on the bottom and heavy on top. One box that had decorations in it to hang on our front door for various events was on the bottom and the box was crushed!!! We initially thought about hiring them when we moved all of our things to the new home but decided to go with someone else. All I can say is THANK GOD WE DID or we would have more things trashed or ruined. If you're moving, DON'T use Dussault Moving, you'll be sorry if you do!!! read more

Do NOT allow Tom to be one of your movers. The rest of the staff, and owner is very nice but Tom is irrate, disrespectful and downright unprofessional. My parents were helping my wife and I move when Tom showed up to our apartment. From the very beginning he had an anger problem with my mom. I told him that I wasn't sure what was said on the phone but my mom's father had just been put in hospice so take her with a grain of salt. While in the apartment he was barking orders, and being rough with our belongings. One of the things he asked to do we did, but while doing it he continued to exasperate the situation by not letting go of the subject. When I asked him if we could just drop the subject and move forward he lost it; refusing to move us at this point. Tom brought what had been taken to the truck and brought it back to the apartment as if he was dropping off garbage. He continuously dropped the "F-Bomb" even telling my elderly father, "F@#! You!" He also shouted that he's an American. He also let us know that he has been with the company for 16 years and that they would side with him over a customer. The owner ended up sending out new guys, one of which was Tom's partner to begin with. His name is Eddie...super nice guy! He even apologized for Tom's behavior. Eddie and the guy he came with, Dre (?) are the reason I am giving two stars instead of just one. If I talked to my customers even a tenth of the way Tom spoke to my family and I, then I would be unemployed. It is very sad that there are good people looking for work and yet a man like this still has a job. One day he is going to talk this way to the wrong person and they aren't going have it and he will probably be shot as a result. read more

I almost forgot to write a review for this awesome moving company, which would have been a big shame! Why? Well, these guys do fantastic work! About 2 months ago I hired movers to help with a very quick, relatively simple move, all within the CLE-Lakewood borders. These guys managed to move some appointments around to fit in our morning move and came way under other local movers in pricing. I was a little skeptical based on this low price because I know often times in service-based situations, you pay for what you get. However, after reading the glowing Yelp reviews, I figured this was a safe bet. It was! These guys had us moved out and in within a hour? Tops? Straight craziness. They got done so quickly that it was actually cheaper than I was quoted. So--just to be nice I took all the extra cash and tipped them very well. Dussault is a great, reliable, careful and fast moving company that I can't recommend more for local moves. They made a very stressful time pretty darn stress free. read more

We have used them for a shipment to Florida as well as for storage and a subsequent delivery to three locations in Oberlin, OH. This is a tough business, and these guys stand out. On the shipment to Florida, a globe for a floor lamp was broken. They tried to replace it and even searched the internet to no avail. I have moved Dusssault moving on many occasions over the last 10 years. My last move was problematic, my initial furniture was stored after moving to Isreal. I decided to move back to the United States during the middle of this pandemic and self quarantined in New York City when New York was the hot spot for the spread of the virus. I would give a negative rating if it was possible. Horrible! I booked my move 1 month in advance, even called them the day before to confirm I was on the schedule. Bob assured me everything was good to go, 'the movers will arrive about 8am". At 8:15 I was nervous because they are located 4 blocks away. By 9am I started calling the office. No answer (my move was scheduled for a Saturday). After leaving several voice mail messages I decided to drive to the shop to see if I could find anyone. I arrived at 10:10am, to find someone on the steps - he confirmed with me he was a Dussault employee and argued that it was only 7:10 am. I asked if he could contact anyone to see what was going on and he said he had no numbers to and didn't know who I should call. And since it was 10:10 and he was the only one that showed up he was probably just going to leave. Fast forward to Monday. I waited until 1pm to see if Dussault would contact me. I decided to call and spoke to Connie. Who, was 'sorry this happened'. The employees had a family situation and thought 'the other guys' would call. To say I was left in a lurch is an understatement. I had closed on my house and needed to move! There are contracts and dates in real estate transactions. I had no people or trucks on standby since I had hired such a 'dependable' company for my move. Its terribly expensive to hire someone last minute add to that I had to pay Sunday rates. Please don't use this company! read more

I used Dussault for a relatively simple office/business related move (of files, office supplies and computer equipment). They did a great job. They were professional on the phone and in person, and offered a reasonable quote. Their per hour rate was less than everyone else I called. So far I'm not impressed. I hired them to move two cabinets. They were supposed to start around noon and call me when they left. "I" finally called the office at 130 and was told they were just leaving a location in Brunswick. (The cabinets were in novelty Ohio.. By Russell township and coming to Cleveland.) My friend messaged me when the arrived at 2:20. It took them 50 minutes to make a drive that takes me 35 at most!! I wanted it done closer to noon so there would be less after school traffic. These guys are ace! Very reasonable rates on in-town moves. I recently needed to move a couple pieces of furniture from my grandma's estate to my house, and called around. Two Men and a Truck wanted $200, Dussault quoted me $80. I don't think you can beat that! I've used them in the past and they were very good. Their guys worked great together as a team, and knew exactly how to handle their gear and how to move a large, very heavy object through a pretty tight corner staircase, without damage to the house or to the item. read more

I very recently booked these guys for a move from Lakewood to Vermilion. I needed them for moving all my furniture and bulkier items from my 3rd floor apartment in Lakewood to a 3rd floor place in Vermilion. After this experience I will never ever try to move stuff like that myself again. These guys were phenomenal! They were quick, they brought stuff to move more delicate items like clothes, blankets, cushions, etc. They had all the tools to move the heavy items. They were able to guide a pain in the ass couch down 3 flights of a narrow staircase without bashing the walls or the couch itself, something the guys who delivered the couch couldn't even do! Upon arrival to Vermilion, they quickly got right back to it. The whole ordeal was a little over 4 hours and absolutely painless on my part. To top it all off, they were the cheapest in Lakewood by at least $40/hour compared to the next recommended moving company. I spent a bit over $500 for the whole thing and I can't state enough how worth it it was. All in all they were able to schedule this on a 5 days notice, and were very timely about it all. I have only praise for Jason and Scott regarding my move yesterday. They called ahead to let me know they could be here earlier than originally thought. They came in, did a quick tour of what needed to be moved, and got started immediately. They worked so well and so efficiently together Dussault shouldn't ever consider splitting up that team! They worked independently of each other when appropriate, and partnered beautifully for the really large pieces. I had them move just the larger pieces in the house, some large pieces of garden pottery/ lawn mower/ trees, and they had everything loaded and off-loaded in 4 hours. Since my car was in for repairs, they drove me to the new house, and graciously stopped at the bank for me. I would highly recommend them. read more

I wish that you could select no stars. It started well, the woman that answered the phone was the highlight of the experience. They showed up and instantly complained, dropping the f word and saying that they had been screwed with this job. In 7.5 hours they managed to only move the furniture and then announced they had to leave even though they were not done and could come back next week (had one more day to remove items from house). Had to have multiple family members drive a total of four hours to come and finish the job. They left for over an hour for lunch and then tried to charge for it. My nanny had a move, bigger house, more items, further distance and Eyring Movers finished everything (and helped setup) in 8.5 hours total. Skip Dussault and call Eyring! read more

For an apartment less than 800 sq ft, it cost me over 900 bucks. Ridiculous! Quoted for 400 bucks but turned out to be almost 1000. Said weekend has different rate and it took them over 7 hours to do the job. Haven't I told you I need service on Saturday the first time I call? Well, the distance between the 2 apartment is only 20 minutes local drive. I forgot to review until my fried told me she got her house moved for 200 bucks. read more

Moving is one of my least favorite things to do. I helped many friends move within the last year. One guy fell out with his baby mama, moved out to a condo on Edgewater Drive, reconciled with her and moved back in with her. Inevitably, they fell out again and he moved into the same building on Edgewater Drive although a different unit. I helped him move through this turmoil. He is now trying to work it out with her again. I told him I will never help him move again. Do you think I called on him to help me move today? Hell no. I called Dussault Moving Inc and am glad that I did. The pricing is fair and the service is excellent. I recommend anybody who is moving from place to place to use them. Don't bother your best friends on a Saturday or Sunday and offer pizza and beer. Chances are they drank beer the night before and ended the night with pizza to soak up the booze. The last thing on earth that they want to do is help you move in or out from your baby mama. Don't encourage bad behavior. Spend the extra money and save your friends and yourself the grief. A friend remarked "Why are you hiring movers? That is so stupid. What are friends for?" They are not for making life miserable. read more

Rude! We had a piano picked up and shipped to Valley City. The pick up location was 2.1 miles from their warehouse (8 mins in traffic!) yet it took three employees 53 mins to arrive and load a piano which was already located near the door. We were billed $352 dollars for a moving job that should have taken 1:45 mins. We had the piano unloaded into an empty three car garage, not even in the house. Good thing we were on the clock while 2 of the 3 employees used our bathroom and left their cigarette butts in our driveway. My wife called the owner for an explanation and he was rude, childish and inconsiderate. Never again will we patronize this business. read more

These folks were pretty good. Let's just put it out there- moving sucks. Something seems to ALWAYS go wrong when I'm moving (the person who was going to help pack didn't show up to help, etc.) and I personally find the whole process incredibly stressful. I HATE MOVING!!!! The guy (I think he was maybe the manager/ owner?) who helped me book the move was really kind. The guys who came out were totally fine with me and my Moving Induced Stress Out and over all this was the smoothest move I've experienced. And I've moved with movers a few times when younger and as an adult. These guys were QUICK! They moved so fast that I nearly had an anxiety attack they were moving so fast! They really had their time management DOWN- these guys need to teach a class on that. I've never seen time management done so nicely. They were even great when my crazy apartment complex tried pulling some last minute nonsense and changed the date I was allowed to have a truck outside for moving. One thing I did notice is that they didn't seem to wrap the furnishings while moving them out and in (they may have while they were on the truck). The other thing is that they accidentally left two pieces in my neighbor's covered parking area (door-less garage) which I specifically said should be brought inside. It was the end of the day and I guess I should have done a full check of the outside of my new apartment, but; I did not. So I'll take partial ownership of that. The thing is- one of the items was a portable dishwasher. I felt terrible because I was meeting my neighbor by preventing her from parking in her own space AND she'd briefly shared with me that one family member just passed away and the other was now ill- so I was now adding to her stress!!! I called the company that evening (I noticed the issue a couple of hours after they left) and left a voicemail and got a call the next morning. Initially I was reminded that I had indeed signed off on the move having been satisfactorily completed. Once I informed the gentleman (the guy I'd booked the move with who I think is manager or owner) that one of the two items was a dishwasher- I asked him if he kept his dishwasher in his neighbor's garage- he understood that this WAS really a mistake that needed to be corrected and they came over as soon as they had a couple of guys available and took care of it. read more

I recently moved from Cleveland to Washington, DC and was really nervous about setting up movers to pack and move my stuff as my last move had gone really terribly. This time, however, I made sure to get a bunch of in-home quotes and tried to ask all of the right questions. At first I was slightly concerned about how much lower the Dussault Moving quote was, but then it ended up that they were able to also work within my rather tight time frame. Reading all of the positive reviews about this company led me to take the chance that they would be the right fit for my move, and they were! Kim was so helpful and comforting about explaining the whole process and how Dussault could help with the packing portion of my move. He tried to be as transparent as possible about the pricing and all of the things that go into determining that figure. The day before actual move day, Brian showed up to pack my stuff. He was very meticulous and, though I'm still in the process of unpacking, I have not found anything broken or damaged in any way. Finally, a whole crew showed up the morning of the move to finish up packing and load up the truck, it was a lot of stuff to walk down three flights of stairs, but every single guy was professional and friendly (not required, but certainly nice to help off-set the stress of moving in general). Bobby and Ronnie were the guys who got to drive the truck and unload my one-bedroom apartment up FOUR flights of stairs. Those guys were awesome! They worked really, really hard and were just so upbeat the entire time (I know I wouldn't have been). I had one good mover and one mover more interested in conversation and smoking that what should have taken 2-3 hours took close to 4. At $125 an hour, I was not pleased. The mover was so sure that my bed couldn't go upstairs because "it was like his mother's house", that they hardly tried and I had to do it after they left. It fit with a little effort. REALLY! I'm very disappointed to say that the price quoted and how I was billed was vastly different from what I was charged. I was told that because they have other jobs that I would be billed from the time they arrived until the time they were done. Which is exactly what I was billed previously. I used them 3 years ago to move a living room set with oversized couches, my bedroom and kitchen and it took two hours start to finish. It was incredible! Today I used them to move even less than before: 3 dressers, a bed frame and a bookcase and a few bags of clothes. (No couches, no mattresses)They took twice the drive time to get to me and billed me for the time it took them to get there! From Lakewood to Parma 2 hour move, Parma to Bedford 4 hours? I called to complain they immediately became combative about what I was told at the time I scheduled the move versus what I was being billed. Going on about "that's how the game goes", and "I've been in this 47 years"... Not once did he ask what I wanted or what my expectations were. And because I was angry about them being late they took 15 minutes off like they were doing me a favor. Lesson learned: Never do business without your quote in writing! read more

I've always been skeptical about moving companies and worried if items would get broken or stolen or if I'd feel comfortable dealing with movers on my own (my husband works a lot). You don't have to worry about that with Dussault Moving. They're friendly, knowledgeable, and put me at ease. The movers are good at their job and work quickly. All my items arrived in good condition. The last move I had was from an older Lakewood house with very narrow door frames and stair cases but the movers were creative and seemed used to this sort of dilemma and it went off without a hitch. I've used them twice and will be using them again in about a week. If you're within their service area, I highly encourage you to give them a call! read more

Wow!! I almost feel bad for the experience I had with this company considering all the highly recommending comments??? I have been using Dussault Movers since the early 90's when the father operated the business. I have had my things in storage and this company had moved me several times though the years. Yes, the father Mr. Dussault was a totally different business operator (caring) than his son. I recently requested Art Dussault to send me 2 guys to help me move from one apartment in my building to another. I was essentially moving out of one back door to another. When the guys came one of them seemed a bit agitated but I looked over it and plus all they had to move was 10 large pieces, no stairs were involved. I thought this would be an easy move. They moved 2 pieces and took off the back doors to my apartment and the back door to the other apartment. I believe his name was Bobby (an older man) needed a tool from the truck. When he came back from the truck he left my front door open and I simply asked him to please close the front door. He became enraged with me and got within 2 inches of my face and started yelling "how do you expect me to move your stuff with the door closed?" I could not believe his aggressive demeanor and stepped back from him. I asked him "you're talking to me like this???" I told him that there was no reason for him to get so upset because I would help them in anyway needed. Opening and closing the doors, moving any items out of their way, I got the younger gentleman a tape measure. I would have offered cold bottled water if they had completed the job. But, regardless, to jump in my face and talk to me in an offensive manner was unacceptable. He told me he was not going to finish the job, he was leaving. Then he had a second thought to finish the work and not bail out on me. I told him he was free to leave, I was trembling and found myself afraid of him. The younger guy was standing back shaking his head in disbelief at his partners actions. I also told him that if my husband was home he would not have gotten in my face and yelled at me like that. They both left. I then realized that my back doors were off and I was sitting in my apartment cold and scared because there was no back doors on either apartment. I called to explain that the older man had gotten upset and left the job unfinished with the back of my apartment open. The man on the phone was not Art Dussault but one of the workers who was rude and condescending. He told me to calm down and that he understood why the men left because of my yelling. He also offered to put the doors back on but I had to wait until he closed for the day and he would walk to my house. I offered to come and get him but my house would be left open. He told me that it would probably take an hour to walk but he would put the doors back on. He said this in a tone that was rude and I told him not to bother about walking here. I was offended by comment that I was yelling and he can see why his guy left. I knew by his tone and comments that he really did not want to get off work and walk several miles to my house to put the doors back on. I never got a call from Art Dussault which let me know that he too was unconcerned. There was no apology to me and I will never call Dussault Movers again which is really sad. I have referred friends in the past and thought I had a long customer history with this moving company. I am disappointed in the way I was treated. What happened to customer service??? In conclusion my husband came home from work with 2 other guys and they moved the heavy stuff in and out of the back doors. But, I had about 6 hours to wait for them to get off work. I did not want my husband to have to move stuff because he works long hours and 6 days a week that was the reason we hired the movers. Sitting in my apartment alone all day with no back doors was scary, cold and unnecessary. The older guy did not like me asking him to close the door. He seemed bothered by me....I wonder if it was because I am a black woman. He displayed a lot of unnecessary anger and reading other comments it appears that he has not treated anyone else like this. Just me...he really had a problem with me. No man should ever talk to a woman disrespectfully, especially a business customer. This is not the last Dussault Movers will hear from me. A job that should of took an hour took 3 hours due to the lack of employees, looked to me like a young man that should have been in school was helping his father. He was extremely rude and did NOT Want to do the job, all he did was stand around, smoking! Did NOT move everything, and did NOT set up any of the furniture! We chose this company for our move because we read that they know tight, old Lakewood houses. Our move out of our duplex went smoothly. However, I asked several times and was told that they'd supply blankets to cover furniture while moving and that was not true. Every piece of furniture loaded on their truck came off with scratches and nicks - one dresser even missing hardware! Moving into the new house proved difficult. Minimal attempts were made to be careful; our walls were marked up, door frames were hit and caused paint trim to chip off. Scratches were left on our hardwood floors due to sliding furniture. While they did get creative, removing a window to fit our queen box spring up our staircase, there seemed to be a sense of frustration and annoyance due to our house layout. They were on time and completed the move in a timely manner but not with the care I expect from a moving company. read more
