This was our second time using u-pack, great service and staff. Container pick-ups and drop-offs were on time with no problems.

They took care with her things as they packed and unpacked. We would use them for every move. Pricing was very fair and competitive to other companies, the final charge was actually less than the quote. Great communication. We knew when they were on their way and when they arrived. Very grateful we found Moving Ahead Services!!!

Please note we paid for additional insurance to cover up to $15,000 worth of damage. I spent weeks trying to get in touch with someone. Jovelyn who was barely responsive. The company would screen my calls. Then finally the GM, Scott, took over my case. The company admitted fault and took responsibility, then the company agreed to replace our furniture that was damaged/broken (I have proof) and then Mike (whom till this day refuses to return my calls) decided I had to file a claim through this CSI company that investigates claims. After waiting almost 2 weeks for Jovelyn to get me the information I needed to file, I complete one. Then I contacted Moving Ahead Services MULTIPLE times because no one from this CSI claims ever reached out to me or answered my emails/calls after I filed. It's now August 22nd, I moved June 13, and I'm still sleeping on a bed on the floor because my bed frame was snapped in half. I waited to write a review because I wanted to give them the opportunity to rectify the situation. God speed if you choose this company.

We used this company to move my mother and father to assisted living. The move went ok. My sister…read moreworked her ass off getting things out of the way so their two movers Ryan and Pierre could get the job done. My dad's house is packed. Hoarder-ish if you will but neat and orderly and he still knows where everything is. Day of the move everything was moved from their houses to the facility safely. The guys were pleasant and engaging while the move was happening. They all talked and one of the dudes even told my dad and sister about their love of camping. My dad used to make these little picnic table condiment holders in the 70s and early 80s for extra money gave one to each of the movers plus $100 tip each when the job was completed. The big problem here is one of these two movers decided that my father didn't need his Jackery charger anymore and took it. We called the company and they offered this "We take any claim or allegation very seriously.   Therefore, we provided your comments to each of the movers on the job.     They both independently stated the same thing:    "It was a hoarding situation; charger is probably there; just cannot be found.     Other people were in the house as well.      Customer was with us the entire time.   We went in and out the front door the entire time, under customer supervision."       We also checked the truck that was used that day, and nothing was found.   We would ask that you check the home again as this is a hugely serious allegation.    If you chose to move forward by contacting the police, we will of course provide whatever information they request from us.       Sincerely,   --Anne Dietrich Parma Movers, Inc." Spoke to Anne in the phone. Pretty much as unpleasant as her email.   The charger was on his cart he uses every day to help him get around the house. It went on the cart the day he got it and has not left the cart since. He used it to charge his phone and other devices that assure his safety. He's a Vietnam vet with serious health issue due to Agent Orange exposure. He lived alone for many years and he knows where EVERYTHING is. He chose not to involve the Garfield Hts police. "It's only a $300 charger." $300 is a lot of money for a senior citizen on a budget. I'm pissed and will be glad to let the NE Ohio area know don't hire this company. They steal from elderly disabled vets. Pierre even offered to help "dispose of whatever is left" once the move was over. He gave my sister his number for some off the clock action. Look they even posed for a picture while they cased the joint. These two guys are the only non-family members that have been in dad's house for 20 years. Shame on which ever of you stole this from him. Figuring both of you are aware of what happened since you roll around in an open cab together. I hope everything shitty life has to offer finds you and exacts revenge. Way to go Parma Movers! Keep an eye out for their trucks. They are most likely looking for their next victims.

I would NOT recommend this moving company…read more The move started out well. They arrived on time and initially seemed professional. Unfortunately, things went downhill quickly. First, the movers started putting items on the truck that I had clearly set aside to throw away, including a dryer. After loading things that weren't supposed to be moved, they then told me they were running out of room on the truck. Once we arrived at the new place, the pace became extremely slow. There were four movers, but at times it seemed like only one person was actually going back and forth upstairs and putting furniture back together. I was told they were using a "chain line," but whatever system they were using was not efficient. The move ended up taking two hours longer than expected, which added approximately $500 to my bill. Even worse, they broke my daughter's TV, which she had only owned for about four months. When I tried to file a claim, I repeatedly called and was told that a manager would contact me. I kept speaking with the same person, John, who would act surprised each time that no manager had called me back. Eventually, they stopped answering my calls altogether. As we've continued unpacking, we've discovered another serious issue. The TV stand had been taped closed with belongings inside of it, but when it arrived at the new place, those items were missing and the TV stand was empty. My biggest problem isn't just that things went wrong during the move--it's the company's lack of accountability afterward. Items were damaged, other belongings appear to be missing, my bill increased by hundreds of dollars because of the additional time, and my attempts to resolve the issues have been ignored. Based on my experience, I would not use this company again and cannot recommend them. If something gets damaged or goes missing, don't expect them to make the claims process easy or to take responsibility.
