We used this company to move my mother and father to assisted living. The move went ok. My sister worked her ass off getting things out of the way so their two movers Ryan and Pierre could get the job done. My dad's house is packed. Hoarder-ish if you will but neat and orderly and he still knows where everything is. Day of the move everything was moved from their houses to the facility safely. The guys were pleasant and engaging while the move was happening. They all talked and one of the dudes even told my dad and sister about their love of camping. My dad used to make these little picnic table condiment holders in the 70s and early 80s for extra money gave one to each of the movers plus $100 tip each when the job was completed. The big problem here is one of these two movers decided that my father didn't need his Jackery charger anymore and took it. We called the company and they offered this "We take any claim or allegation very seriously.   Therefore, we provided your comments to each of the movers on the job.     They both independently stated the same thing:    "It was a hoarding situation; charger is probably there; just cannot be found.     Other people were in the house as well.      Customer was with us the entire time.   We went in and out the front door the entire time, under customer supervision."       We also checked the truck that was used that day, and nothing was found.   We would ask that you check the home again as this is a hugely serious allegation.    If you chose to move forward by contacting the police, we will of course provide whatever information they request from us.       Sincerely,   --Anne Dietrich Parma Movers, Inc." Spoke to Anne in the phone. Pretty much as unpleasant as her email.   The charger was on his cart he uses every day to help him get around the house. It went on the cart the day he got it and has not left the cart since. He used it to charge his phone and other devices that assure his safety. He's a Vietnam vet with serious health issue due to Agent Orange exposure. He lived alone for many years and he knows where EVERYTHING is. He chose not to involve the Garfield Hts police. "It's only a $300 charger." $300 is a lot of money for a senior citizen on a budget. I'm pissed and will be glad to let the NE Ohio area know don't hire this company. They steal from elderly disabled vets. Pierre even offered to help "dispose of whatever is left" once the move was over. He gave my sister his number for some off the clock action. Look they even posed for a picture while they cased the joint. These two guys are the only non-family members that have been in dad's house for 20 years. Shame on which ever of you stole this from him. Figuring both of you are aware of what happened since you roll around in an open cab together. I hope everything shitty life has to offer finds you and exacts revenge. Way to go Parma Movers! Keep an eye out for their trucks. They are most likely looking for their next victims. read more

We hired Parma Movers for a recent move due to them being family owned. We were initially quoted 5 hours for our 3 bedroom apartment with 3 bed sets, a couch, a fridge, and a single car garage with misc items. This seemed reasonable as it took 2 hours to move into the apartment on our own. All furniture was already disassembled and ready and items were boxed. Loose items we put in our vehicles to move ourselves. Boxes were marked with rooms and piled together. The 5 hours turned into 8, including an hour charge where it rained but nothing was being moved. My partner and 6 year old assisted to speed up the process since the movers seemed in no hurry with little motivation to complete the job in a timely manner. This incurred and additional $700 in charges in addition to what we paid for. The movers only put the furniture in their rooms, the boxes were placed in the living room and garage because "otherwise we will go over on time". Well we were already over in time; and at 6 months pregnant would've rather had the boxes placed as labeled. Additionally, every path to place the furniture left walls dented, scratched, and gouged. The house is a new build, so it is certain this was from the movers as pre-inspection photos did not have these flaws. Doorways; entryways, and walls left a mess. When I asked if they could stay on the cement or put booties on their shoes they said they didn't carry any. Understandable as they are carrying heavy items. But how they got mud all over the floor is beyond me then. When we called the company to discuss the damage we were told "the lady who handles this is part time so it might be a while". I guess when they have your money fixing their mistakes is not a priority. Not a company we will recommend or use again. read more

Just used them JANUARY 20 th 2021 ... Estimate was 476.. to move a couple of rooms and boxes .. I have all white carpets and and wood floors ... told they have white glove service all areas of my house would be protected... and I needed wardrobe boxes no problem... upon arrival two elderly men arrived informed me they had no pads for my floors and 1 wardrobe... I WAS GOING TO TURN THEM AWAY RIGHT THERE... but they problem solved and put three moving blankets on my wood floors by the door and wore there shoes from outside all through my whole house, and they thought it was great they would move everything to blankets then go out side... they said sorry how could we know it would snow today..... wow so glad I hired professionals..... :( ..... ended up moving everything fine ... but not before inflating the bill 200.00 more dollars which ended up being my highest quote... called to complained they ripped me up one side down the other.... Would never use or recommend Parma Movers ever again. Ever. Moving day is stressful by its very nature. The owner of Parma Movers came to my house to walk through everything and give an estimated month prior to the moving date. Saw everything, reviewed everything and gave me a weight estimate. Day of moving he shows up and says he didn't realize I was moving everything. Isn't that the point of moving. He was argumentative, impolite, unprofessional, and has zero idea about customer service. Zero. Bekins Van Lines of Indiana should reconsider adding their name to this unprofessional "family owned" business for intrastate moving. In my opinion this should be a family out of business. Didn't bring a big enough truck and informed me on the spot that they would pack the moving van and anything left would be my responsibility to move separately. Why not go get another truck since it was the owner who under estimated the move. Did I say unprofessional? And yes, they left behind a substantial amount of my personal items of which now I must rent a U Haul to transport at my own time and extra money to my new city and state. Estimated weight of my possessions by the owner of Parma Movers was off by 5,000 pounds. Looks to me like a bait and switch on the spot. Shame upon Parma Movers. All I can say is, if you've found yourself needing a mover and you've stumbled across Parma Movers - please reconsider! We recently moved out of a building downtown that will not allow a move to happen until after 5 on weekdays (annoying, I know). Several moving services we considered were not able to work that late into the evening, so we ended up with Parma Movers. They were on time and things seemed to be going alright, but they had only sent 2 movers when we probably could have used 3. They did not wrap any of our furniture and were not particularly delicate with it. They asked that we move our own pieces of glass (like tabletops) and I mean, sure I can take it myself, but that's why we hired movers. We eventually (as in, like, 6 hours later) were unpacked and I signed all the forms and paid. I sat down on my lovely, new, fabric sofa and noticed there was a huge tear on the corner! I was hesitant to post a negative review (they do know where I live after all) but really!?! It was a basic (not heavy) piece of furniture that should not be ruined after one round of moving! read more

Parma movers will mark your furniture badly worn and then when they move it and damage items they can say it wasn't their fault. I had a leather sofa and they stated it was badly worn by my 7 pound dog. They claim the dog scratched it and even on their sheets they didn't mark it scratched. I guess when they state badly worn it covers everything according to them. We had several other damaged pieces also, they cracked an armoire (the shelf broke off and cracked the back) they also said this was done before the move. I would not recommend Parma movers to move any of your furniture. I will enclose a picture of the scratch they state my dog did. I am very disappointed read more

I gave PARMA movers 300 pads to put between my furniture and it was so badly packed that when my furniture arrived in CA upolostry was torn and anything made of wood was scratched. They came with the highest recommendation from a friend who used them to move his law firm and for personal moving. They answered all my questions, were fair in their estimates and were great with my many questions and concerns leading up to the move. From the time of estimate to the final move day, the company treated us with kindness and respect and answered every question I had.
