Many people are enjoying the morning sun ( strollers , wheelchair users, summer campers , basketball players , tennis players etc ) The walking trails are very smooth and pretty landscapes to circle around the park. There are two playgrounds for toddlers and older kids . A dog parks with fence and some dogs slides for fun . A few big dogs are walking around and rest on the lawn . I am lucky enough to capture the hummingbirds and two squirrels running up the tree . There are lots of picnic tables next to BBQ grilled . They have public restrooms. Lots of free parking on the tennis court area and the park entrance area . Everything is so beautiful and I enjoy my leisure walk very much .

Picnic tables scattered throughout the park, with lots of beautiful trees providing shade over most of the park. There are two adjacent playground areas. One side has a large caterpillar to climb on, along with a dinosaur teeter-totter and baby swings (only, no regular swings) The other side has another big playground structure, along with this rock formation that wraps around it. My kids mainly enjoyed climbing the rock formation that had little 'caves' that they played house in forever! Basketball courts, tennis courts as well. The only awful thing about this park is how absolutely vile the bathrooms smelled, like worse than most porta-potties.

In any case, if you have a young toddler, just make sure you watch them get off the slide because it's just so high off the ground. See picture. [[ Pros ]] 1.) Huge park with ample parking. I felt like it was pretty clean and well-kept overall and it felt super spacious. The Union City BART runs above the park which is cool but loud at the same time. 2.) The trees embedded into the Playground act as natural SHADE. Oh my goodness do I love having shade while my kid is at the playground for 1-2 hours. Felt awesome. 3.) The Golden Gate Bridge play structure was awesome. My kid loved it and probably ran up and down the bridge and the various slides attached to it 100 times. Irvington Community Park is a decent park with a really big grass area and plenty of open space…read more They also have a sports complex area that can be rented, and a lot of people come here for games or other activities. There's also a basketball court and a community center, which makes the park useful for different kinds of events. The playground area is decent, especially for kids. I noticed the padding looks like it was recently redone, which is nice. The play area has a little wall climber, slide, pole, and stairs. I do think the wood around the slide area could use some updating because it looks kind of old, and the slides seem extremely high, which I think should be changed or made safer. The bathrooms are currently being redone, so that's good to see. Overall, it's a decent park with good space and activities for families.

The park has improved over the years since they added bleachers at the parking lot as well as renovating the playgrounds. It's not really a big park but it's convenient for those who live really close to it. They have a building called Irvington Community Center, which I think is a place for children's activities. There is another building which is small. I think it was supposed to be a library, but is recently closed. Right next to it is the ballot drop box, where I usually go to drop my ballot envelope. Nothing much changed overall but it's good to reminisce the memories I have going here when I was a kid.

With its many picnic tables and trees offering shaded cover, this is a great spot to host a party or large get together. Although there doesn't seem to be a dedicated parking lot, it neighbors a school that does have a lot and there are plenty of spots along the street. The road isn't too busy but there are occasional cars that roll through to commute between parts of Fremont. The playground itself boasts a multitude of modalities including climbing structures (rock wall, ladders, stairs, rope), monkey bars/rings, and slides. Based on the height and strength needed for some of the activists, I would say children between the ages of 4 and 12 would have a good time. The flooring is padded rubber so it's easy on the feet and falling children. The play area is surrounded by a raised concrete wall that is just wide enough to be used as a balance beam. Do take care, however, as the flooring outside the barrier is concrete so it isn't the most safe activity area. The field is huge and has large areas for soccer, kickball, soccer and other field sports. The grass is kept pretty short and it's decently maintained. There may be some uneven spots but for the most party, they've been filled. Overall, Blacow Park is conveniently located near schools and shopping malls which makes it a great spot for a quick break, and the size of the space is suitable for a larger gatherings. The field is certainly a highlight due to its vacancy but the playground is great as well due to its variety of activities and being upkept.

Seemingly small park, we've come a couple times early in the morning and there are locals walking…read morearound. The walkway is quite nice and winds around and through different elevations, its much larger than it looks. Right now mustards are blooming and its very nice, the walkway also brings you to redwoods, etc...At the very far end where the bench is you can proceed onto a dirt path that goes under two huge power line towers like a scene from a movie. There is also a path on the right which leads to the closest connected neighborhood. The kids and I like this walkway a lot and enjoy it more than the standard injection molded playset. No parking lot, you can park at the school next to it or the street. Best to come early morning to avoid the crowds. We like coming here over the playgrounds at Central Park since its less crowded.

Located on Lake Elizabeth/Central Park, you can't miss the infamously large cat structure. It is great for children of all ages and offer more than your typical slides and swings. Fossil bones are placed throughout the playground and you may find a set of two of animal footprints hidden. I was kind of skeptical of SP's overall size because I've been fooled a time or two while watching posts on IG and let me confidently confirm any doubt that may linger- the playground is good in size. Come prepared with some shades, water, a hat, and sunblock because there is little to no shade. The heat is no joke but rest assured that there will be more than one ice cream vendor ready and willing to help you cool off. 5/5 stars. This playground is definitely one of our more favorable spots to hit up.
