Dutch Bros is the "must stop" place for a lot of people in Reno who are passing through Carson. Their coffee is amazing, and they have a thousand drinks and combinations for all caffeine lovers. The thing that sets them apart from other places (besides their delicious beverages) is the staff. I don't know if it's the water in Carson or the management (maybe a little of both?) but they are ALWAYS in a good mood. And not that annoying good mood nobody needs before their AM pick me up, but the kind of good mood that starts your day off on a positive note. Back in the old days we tipped for good service, lol! Yesterday when we were in drive thru we were solicited for a tip as our order was placed, we complied. Our order was incorrect, we had pulled away on our way home out of town when we realized it. No receipt of course. This morning reviewing my bank charges they actually added a tip for $3 instead of $1 apparently. Not a good idea at all to be pre-charged a tip or be unable to see what is charged and not given a receipt. read more

The people that work for Dutch bros are probably the number one reason I frequent this place. They meet every expectation for customer service. Ive been a Dutch Bros customer for about 8 yrs now and I've never NEEEEVVVEERR. Had a bad experience here. Worth waiting for on their days with long lines. Constantly have good deals on their coffee. Not to mention their reward system is much simpler and more do-able than Starbucks. My go to is an iced kicker and hot when it's winter time. Expresso shots seamlessly blended with Irish cream and let me tell you it is made phenomenally every time. I came here as a last minute decision. I had just gotten out of class and I had a long night of studying ahead for me. This was the only place open at 8:45 pm. Technically Starbucks was open but I don't like to go to places that are about to close. I used to work fast food so I know how that feels. I'd never been to Dutch Bros but I ended ordering a latte. The guy who took my order was really nice even though I didn't know what I wanted as I looked at the menu. He noticed my Led Zeppelin shirt and we talked about classic rock. Dutch Bro's coffee was about a mile away from my hotel and wanted to check this place out because of the reviews and the selections they offered on their menu! The two dudes who were taking orders at the drive thru were super chill and easy going. I told them it was my first time here and I asked what they recommended as a first timer and they mentioned the peppermint bark (I LOVE PEPPERMINT!) and that shit sold me! and they mentioned that the first order is on the house which got me so excited! The pepperment bark *with almond milk* was sooooo freaking good. I decided at that moment that I would be coming back the next morning for the drive back to San Francisco. That morning, I ordered a raspberry truffle drink with almond milk and it did not disappoint. Again, I was approached with really awesome customer service...I wish this spot was offered in the Bay Area!!! read more

They were 6 cars deep on each side and people at the window and still delivered in a timely fashion. I like how they send out workers with tablets for quicker ordering. We aren't in an area with a Dutch Bros, so every time we travel we have to stop for one. Dutch Bros. is the best coffee chain I have ever been to. HANDS DOWN. They have the best customer service out of any coffee shop, or any restaurant for that matter, that I have been too. The employees are always super bubbly, but not in your face; they can recall your order in an instant, even if you have several; and they always have smiles on their faces, no matter what time of day. As for the coffee, it is also great! I don't usually get coffee, in general, but this place may just persuade me. The Dutch Classics are really sweet and full of milk/cream, which is what I like, but their black coffee/iced coffee is above average compared to other chains. I mainly get smoothies at Ducth Bros. If you get a smoothie, I would recommend the blueberry pomegranate! But you can also mix and match flavors! Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone in the Carson area or to anyone just passing through! read more

I. Freaking. Love. Dutch Bros. My go-to drink is a Large, Iced, Non-Fat Chai with Nutmeg. I get it literally every time, without fail. No matter if it's raining or snowing...I don't care if there's a record breaking blizzard outside, I'd still get a Large, Iced, Non-Fat Chai with Nutmeg. But as great as the drinks are, it's the baristas that make this place great. They're all charismatic, kind and energetic. These people know how to turn a day around. And they do everything they can to get to know you. Best of all? They remember you, too. I can't tell you how many times I've started to name off my order and they literally finish my sentence. They even remember that I only like nutmeg, not cinnamon! This is also a company with a great story. Two brothers with an American Dream that came true? Priceless. And the fact that one brother has taken over for the other since his passing? So heart-warming. Seriously, I encourage you to watch the episode of "Undercover Boss" that has the founding brother of Dutch Bros. It'll make you cry. Not only was the coffee amazing but the service was fantastic. We walked up to the window to order and were greeted by blasting Katie Perry music that made us dance right there in the parking lot. It was a lot of fun. The service was so fast and very friendly. You can tell that they enjoy what they do. Never ever thought I would dance while waiting for my coffee drink. I had the chocolate coconut coffee drink which was heavenly and my friend had the ER 911 which has six shots! I've always loved dutch bros. I probably will always love dutch bros. My norm for this is the Sugarfree Nonfat White Chocolate Annihilator, and boy I probably will never change. I love the fact that they always have more sugarfree options than other places, which makes it great for someone like me. Another thing that makes them great is that they offer kids drinks, and not just loaded sugary ones. It also helps that you can modify these as well, and they won't look at you like you're crazy. There's only one negative I have. The lines. The lines can be so completely crazy ridiculous. I agree with a previous person who said "If you're in a hurry WALK UP." There couldn't be more truth to that. I wanted to get my coffee this evening for about 20 minutes, and I've waited as long as 30 before. It's nuts, but happens. Ahhhh, Dutch Bros. It's really hard to drive by and not stop here. My go-to beverage is the Carmelizer, half-sweet. I love that there is a "secret menu" and the employees are friendly and great at making recommendations. When the line is long they send somebody out to take orders. I don't think I've ever waited longer than 5 minutes to get my beverage. There are also some quick food options. They have muffin tops and granola bars. The granola bars are killller. At first I scoffed at it, but that's because I was thinking it was going to be like the granola bar your mom would pack you for snack. That is not the case. It's a thick bar packed with oats and cranberries and deliciousness. Try it, you'll be hooked. read more

The 3rd car leaves and now I am second in line, needing to get to work. The girl in front of me didn't order coffee and just sat there in her vehicle talking with her friend at the window. Just chatting. Not ordering coffee and didn't receive a coffee. I in the interim, got out of my vehicle and headed toward the walk up window to order my coffee. They were very nice. I told them the issue and they said we are sorry. I stated it's not your fault. But, They didn't ask her to stop chatting with her friend. So I'm thinking to myself, hmmm. I then proceed to the window after 4 minutes. I paid prior at the walk up window. I then pull up to the window to wait for my coffee and the girl that was chatting with her friend asked me for my punch card. I first tried Dutch Bros Coffee whilst on a trip in Sacramento, and since then I've only ever been able to visit this place again if I was in that area. When I found out that there was a location even closer to Reno than a few hours away, I was both surprised and thrilled. While still about 40 minutes away from where I live, I've always thought this place was worth the drive. The staff never fails to be upbeat and social with every customer, whether you're one of their morning-goers, or a customer at night, like me. Sadly, while the locations I've been to in California are open 24 hours, this one is not (but still open to 11PM everyday sounds reasonable enough to me). However, what this location does have in common with all the other ones I've been to, is that it never fails to have a long line (in which case they would have an employee outside taking orders as well)! It's understandable, though, because their coffee is so, so good. I usually never stray away from their classics menu, with the Annihilator my usual go-to. Served hot, iced, or blended, the Annihilator, or any of their other drink choices for that matter, are sure to leave you wanting to come back for more. read more

Being from Oregon where Dutch Brothers is originally from, I have pretty high expectations of what the service and time should be like when I order a drink. Although the drinks here are consistently good as one would expect, the one downside here is the speed and customer service. Not sure if it's just a Nevada thing, but drinks are done in lightning speed in the Oregon and California DBs that I have patronized. I feel like it always takes 10 minutes regardless if I order one drink or three or if there's a line or if it's just me. Super frustrating. Also, I expect the baristas to be SUPER friendly and talkative, especially if you're waiting- that's not the case here. Speed and friendliness, along with the delicious brew is the kind of DB attitude I expect. I still go here just because it makes me nostalgic of my home brew, but I usually cringe at everything but the drink. read more
