My chance to try for the first time came when I was in Flagstaff. I didn't know what to order so I decided to try Kicker. First one on the menu, original silky blend of Irish Cream. It was a very warm September afternoon on Saturday, line was long. A large sweet coffee drink taste refreshing. Just what I needed at that time. I said coffee drink. It wasn't a coffee. I consider coffee when it is served as espresso or macchiato. Those little cup with strong real coffee. This was definitely not one of the best experiences I've had at any Dutch Bros I've visited across Arizona. Family and I were camping in Sedona and we decided to drive up to get some coffee. The broista who took our order was not the kindest and after each drink order kept asking "anything else" in a very rude and hurried tone, definitely not the Dutch bros experience everyone raves about. A Dutch Bros in Flagstaff!!! I am so torn... I love Dutch Bros, but I also love all the little, local Flagstaff coffee shops. This may take away business from some of those shops, which would make me sad if they would have to close. What I do love about this location... there is not a 20+ minute wait in line like the locations in Phoenix. The workers are just as pleasant and friendly. I have never felt more awkward and uncomfortable as when I came here. My husband and I with our two friends came and we ordered our coffee at the walk up. As we are waiting I am called back up to the window. I had paid with card and the guy that took my order called me back to make conversation. Im polite and continued to converse and then he flips his iPad monitor and says "so there's an option here for tip me, how much did you want to give" and continued to watch the screen and everything that I was doing. Let me start by saying that my husband and I both LOVE Dutch Bros and go every chance we get! My husband is a truck driver. He tried to get coffee yesterday and was told they couldn't serve him. The manager told him it is drive thru only. Obviously, he can't drive his semi through the drive thru! He was also told that he could "walk" through the drive thru. This does not seem safe to me!! He refused to walk through the drive thru and left. He went to the 2nd location and was told the same thing.. I thought during these uncertain times, we are supposed to support truck drivers. Combine that with $1 subs at Jimmy Johns during their Customer Appreciation Day sale, and you have the perfect recipe for incredibly long lines. After waiting about 30 minutes on sunny Thursday late morning before noon, we finally got our drinks. I had a Strawberry Smoothie with Caramel while my friends got a White Zombie and Molten Lava (Cinnamon and Dark Chocolate). They didn't have my go-to secret menu Dirty Caterpillar (Green Apple Smoothie with Caramel), but my strawberry was an adequately sweet substitute. There were extra staff members that day who helped direct crazy traffic and lines to make it less chaotic. They also handed out menus and were very friendly while taking our orders early while waiting in line. I used to work just across the way from Dutch Bros and would get a little pick me up from them often. The drinks were always great, never a mistake honestly. The only thing that makes me a little nuts is how loud the music is when you pull up to the window! The people that work there are definitely friendly- sometimes overly so- but they do a good job and they all seem to actually enjoy where they work. Coffee ok if you have a seasoned worker making the coffee. The place it seems is more for students because they talk for 10-20 mins after they get there drink I work in the medical field and that's too long of a wait even standing at the window they don't always make your drinks in order. Last time I was there first 4 ppl came after me and I was the last to get my drink. I should of just left but I waited and ended up being late to work. So I guess if you have free time it's not to bad. The staff is really friendly. I just don't think they have a good flow worked out yet! read more

This location of Dutch Bros Coffee in Flagstaff had the friendliest baristas! I wanted a Cocomo which was not available on their menu but she made it anyway. The coffee was exactly what I wanted! There was a hint of coconut in my hot Cocomo. The barista said she preferred the warm Cocomo instead of the cold but you cannot go wrong either way! If I'm back in Flagstaff, I will definitely go back. Wish they had locations in San Diego! read more

I have a very unique schedule that means I have to get coffee at 3am. Typically I would assume I would get a cranky barista who doesn't want to work. But I have always been treated with such kindness at this Dutch bros. There's usually this young man with an Afro who is always preppy and kind. He makes these typically early mornings bearable. The coffee was good, the staff was awful. The car in front of us got to the window and received her coffee right away. She remained at the window talking with two of the staff so we assumed she was waiting for more of her order. Other staff members came out the back door and brought us our coffee, they came out a few more times to give the cars behind us their coffee. Even though we had our coffee we were all still stuck in the drive through since the front car was still sitting there. After about 5 minutes we realized the front car was not waiting for her order they were just talking and blocking the whole drive through. Wow! A 24 hour open dutch bros coffee stand! I was shocked to see that it was open 24 hours, which is a nice bonus, especially when you need a caffeine kick at night. Right now, they have many holiday flavors to try, including classic peppermint and eggnog. What I like about dutch bros is that there are so many options to make unique flavors, whether it is a menu option that they made or one you want to customize on your own. They are very good at modifying things and substituting items, like different types of milk flavors, etc. I highly recommend trying some of the new seasonal flavors, since they won't be around year round. Some other good options are the annihilator and cocomo, especially if you like hazelnut or coconut! read more

Thank God for our 24/7 Dutchbros. Came through for some early morning coffee around 2:15 Friday, there were only 3 or 4 cars ahead of me. The guy working came out to get our order and then went back inside. We told him we needed some major caffeine to study for our 8am midterm, and he gave us a hot nitro mocha and a hot cookies and creme. Seemed like he was the only one there since he made our drinks and talked to us when we got to the window, but it was about the same amount of time to get our drinks as if we had gone through in the middle of the day. Stopped at Dutch Bros Coffee while passing through Flagstaff and am so glad we did. The actual drive thru was packed so we walked up to the counter (no inside seating, just walk up to the building and order like a walk-up drive thru) and employees were so friendly and nice. Right off the bat, they made the experience a good one. My boyfriend & his brother got regular coffee and I got the hot white chocolate mocha with whipped cream. Was about $8 total, so decent/standard prices. Theirs was good, tasted like a medium roast. Mine had really great flavors, but was almost too sweet for my tastes. With that said, I'd definitely return if I'm in the area again and would love to try another drink out (say, the Kicker, which I've heard is awesome). Plus, their coffee lids have cute sayings on them ("do what you love", "you are pure awesome"), which I thought was a really thoughtful touch. UPDATE: stopped back by here for the second time and upped my review to a 5 because my experience with this place was even better this time around. The iced Kicker was indeed amazing. Old Faithful for a good coffee, but the Asian girl talks to her customer friend too much as you wait trapped in the line for more than 10 whole minutes listening to them talk about school and boys so loud that we seemed to be part of the conversation. We even know about her freshman bio med major already.... She also wear retainers and like talking about her old braces.... She loves going to the mall in chandler..... I feel like I got her whole life story forced on us as we were trapped behind this white Audi Q7 this girl wouldn't stop talking to.... She was perky when we got here too... Apparently it took 15 minutes to make a drink for the car before.... She wasn't the coffee maker so it wasn't probably all her fault.... That was a seriously long effort to get a little drink of coffee though. We just wanted a coffee at 9pm on the way home to share.... I almost fell asleep in the line of cars.... Dutch Bros is great anywhere and everywhere! Every time my boyfriend and I go on a road trip we make a pit stop at Dutch Bros. Checking to see if there is one near our hotel is one of the first things we do on the road. The service is great and we're always greeted with a friendly smile. This particular location was no different. The cashier was friendly and kept a nice conversation while we waited for our coffee in the drive thru and had no issue explaining the flavors of each coffee. Visiting from San Diego, CA and my boyfriend insisted we stop at Dutch Bros. Despite the long drive thru line the barista who took our order via an iPad in the line was SO sweet, she had a warm personality and when I asked about Merch for sale she happily told me she could get me a sticker since they aren't able to sell Merch at this time due to COVID. She made great drink recommendations and the gentleman who helped us out the window also engaged in friendly conversation and offered our dog a "pupaccino" it was adorable that they throw on two dog biscuits on top. Also, the gentleman offered us an additional free drink that they had made accidentally which was very yummy! Overall friendly workers who appeared to enjoy their job and the drinks were great! Dutch bros coffee is great however the line to wait took over an hour to receive my drink. Every car was stationary for extended periods of time. Usually at other Dutch bros, even with a big line they manage to keep the line steadily moving. Maybe understaffed but the wait for a drink was pretty crazy. read more
