This new location off the freeway is hard to miss. To our surprise, we didn't have to wait in a long drive thru line to place our order. We were greeted right away by a friendly staff who took our order. I love their system of paying with their portable credit card reader right away so when we approach the window, our drinks would be ready. We were greeted by the friendliest staff when we arrived at the window. She was really nice, striking up a quick conversation with us while we waited for our drinks to be prepared. I ordered the nitro cold brew, which was surprisingly pretty good. You have the option of adding cream and sugar, or having it black like I did. Great customer service and decent coffees! This used to be my go to Dutch Brothers. I would drive from a different city to come to this specific Dutch Brothers. The last a few times we have come they have messed up our order and I literally order the same thing . I say it back twice to make sure. The girls in the window are always like you need to make sure you need to double check, or I need to charge you. I don't know how many times I need to ask, but I feel like if I say it twice I'm not going to have them repeat it again. I have called Dutch Brothers headquarters and they said no matter what, whoever's fault it is that they need to be remaking drinks and not just trying to fix the drink that they already messed up. When going out of the Bay Area, that always warrants a stop at Dutch Bros for me. After living right down the street from one for 2 years, it was always a drive up to Crescent City to get my Dutch Bros fix (it was along the way). I'm pretty sure I had to stop there every meal for a drink... but now, this location is my on freeway/off freeway stop to get my drink fix. I've had many people tell me that drinks here are just meh coffee and such, but hey... you do you - I personally am a fan and probably will always be. One thing I can appreciate is that in all my years of getting Dutch Bros (since 2011), I don't think I've ever had one bad experience except waiting in lines when in Crescent City...I will be traffic if that means I can get my drinks :) Specifically for this Lathrop location, my experiences have always been good with consistent drinks and lines still move decently when super busy. Employees here have always directed everything very smoothly for me. I know I'll probably have to play my luck of the lotto to hit a sticker day, but I'm still holding on hope that I'll be able to stop by here myself for one. My og coffee order has to be the Golden Eagle. Yes, I don't like chocolate - especially in my drinks and caramel hits the spot for me (an extra shot or 2 for the caffeine and flavor kick). When I'm needing a caffeine kick and not in the mood for coffee, a Shark Attack or a Peach Rebel is just the right order. It's about 80mg of caffeine (so I've heard), so it's just the right little pick me up. If i need more caffeine... I'm not sure how the flavoring would work, but I'd pick up a stronger energy drink at that point. On the occasions that my og coffee order doesn't sound fitting, I'd go for a lemonade for a more refreshing taste. It's that one sugary treat that I enjoy immensely, but not always the best choice for a long drive though. There was a Peach Ring rebel that was released a few months back, but one time coming through here, I wasn't quite in the mood for an energy drink. An employee suggested the Peach Ring as a lemonade and that's what I've been wanting each time now. Final Thoughts: All drinks here would be on the sweeter side, but I personally come here for the sugar punch. I'm already waiting to get my drink fix next weekend! read more

Every time I come here I'm always greeted with a smile and thoughtful recommendations especially from this young lady by the name of Jeida, she's helped me find a few of my favorite beverages, from the Golden Eagle Chai to a Tiger's blood rebel. Whenever I'm driving to Sacramento or pass it, we always have to stop at Dutch Bros. The drinks here are extremely consistent every time. I always get a medium Annihilator, blended. It was extremely hot these days so mine melted pretty quickly but so yummy! I wish we had one in the bay are. The girl who took our order was very nice, she asked us about our days and gave great non coffee recommendations! We also ordered a Shark attack for the blue raspberry. Very sweet but woke us up! Friendly service, tasty drinks, and the wait wasn't long at all! My son likes the strawberry lemonade blended here and had been asking to stop by on a recent road trip, as we don't have a Dutch Bros near where we live. We stopped off and I decided to try a drink too while we were there, so asked the lady taking orders with the tablet what was popular. She mentioned the Golden Eagle or Caramelizer for coffee drinks, so I decided to give the Golden Eagle a try. I had a feeling I was setting myself up for failure, as most coffee drinks like this are too sweet for my taste, but I wanted to try it as-is first before I start asking for less syrup. I must say I was very pleasantly surprised! It was maybe a tad too sweet initially, but as I had gotten it iced on a very hot day, my suspicion was that it would be perfect once the ice started melting. And it was! I think next time I might ask them to tone down the sweetness just a little, but compared to other coffee places I've been too - this was pretty close to perfect already. The coffee flavor came through as well, and didn't have the burnt flavor that some other popular chains have. Overall, the drink was great. My son enjoyed his usual blended strawberry lemonade, and my step-daughter was a fan of the mango smoothie. I stop by the Dutch bros once a week for work and every time I go there is something off. I go to my local Dutch Bros everyday with no problems. The staff here (not all of them, but most) are rude. My most recent experience: Ordered my drink in the drive thru, and I forgot to specify "blended, not iced" (my bad) which the drive Thru worker presumed I wanted iced. Got to the window and asked if it was blended. The window worker was really rude when I asked (and apologized) for it to be switched. She, then, decided to talk badly about me with the window open while I was still there. I understand I messed up but if you're going to be upset about a mistake, don't complain about it while the customer is right there to hear all of it. Be very careful when it comes to the employees in the drive thru. So earlier today before work, me and my girlfriend decided to get some coffee here. It was our 3rd time going. The first two times were completely fine, but this time around we were swindled by a 19 year old clean cut Hispanic male working the drive thru at around 2pm on 3/29/22. There was no one to greet us at the menu where we usually ordered so we drove up to the window. The employee asked if we've ordered yet and I said that we didn't. He apologized and took our orders and asked us how our day was and we said it was alright. He said it was our lucky day and he said he would give us a drink on the house. I thanked him and then I inserted my card, added a $3 tip and signed for the transaction. Afterwards, he said that it didn't go through and he had to run it again. After inserting it the second time, he said it went through just fine. He didn't give me an option to leave a tip and I wasn't required to sign for the second transaction. We were given our drinks and we went on our way to work. While at work I thought that it was weird that I didn't have to sign for the second transaction. I looked at my statement and I was charged two transactions. With the second transaction having an added tip that I did not authorize. I don't mind that it's $3, but the fact that this kid might be doing this to multiple customers is alarming. Plus the fact that he's fraudulently adding extra tips to the tab without authorized consent. I know gas prices are ridiculous and some people are struggling when it comes to money, but it doesn't give him the right to steal from customers. Employees like this makes a person to never want to frequent this brand anymore. Starbucks may be crappier coffee, but at least they've never stolen from me. read more

I think I'm swearing off Dutch Bros for awhile. I'm pretty sure I got food poisoning after having a drink from here. I waited in line on my way up to Sac from the Bay area and stopped here in the morning to get my caffeine fix. I waited in line. They have two drive thru lines that merge to one window. There happened to be like a change in staff when it was my turn to order or they added another person instead of just the one, so I think I finished putting my order before the car who was technically in front of me. Or I drove up first, bc we're supposed to zig zag/zipper to the pickup window. Anyways I ordered a carmelizer, which is my usual., I think I get it 90% of the time I come to Dutch Bros. The person at the pickup window confirmed it, said my order, which was a carmelizer. And handed a drink to me a few min later. I drove off and didn't drink it till like 10 min later. Upon my first sip, I knew something was wrong. This was definitely not a carmelizer. I drank more and thought it ended up tasting like a latte. It tasted a little off, but I figured it was some kind of flavored latte. I mean latte's are fine but I was disappointed I didn't get the drink I wanted. I was too far away to turn back and complain. So I just drank it. I don't like wasting food/drinks. That was probably my mistake bc later on I threw up a few times and couldn't keep anything down the rest of the day. Anyways because of the mixup with the line and paying and picking up my order, I think I got the wrong thing. Next time, I will also try it before leaving the premises. Location 5/5: This Dutch bros is located right off Lathrop Rd Exit and can be easily seen from the freeway. They share a space with Panda Express and Sonic (but as of this writing, Sonic is still under construction.) Drink- Strawberry Green Tea 4/5: I prefer tea over coffee. When drinking this, I like to have the ice melt to dilute out the caffeine. The strawberry flavor was more subtle than I expected. This is a great drink to overcome the Central Valley heat. I have had better, BUT I would still order this drink again because it does taste good. read more
