I get it. When a business is busy and there is a long line of customers, the staff can get stressed and tunnel vision. However, they still should have helped me. Many months ago, I was on my way to this location and tried ordering through the app. There was an issue though.When I got there, I hoped they could provide me with a phone # or some idea of how to go about getting a fix. I thought I was being nice, but I was treated like I didn't matter AT ALL. Rude. Not only did I have a bad experience at this particular location, but the company as a whole ended up disappointing me. The issue took weeks to resolve because getting help was so tricky and difficult. The people who work at coffee places like these aren't necessarily aiming to spend their lives there, so I understand if they aren't going to bend over backwards for every little thing. I do expect a certain level of management to be present though, and the employee who didn't know anything other than how to serve a drink could have referred me to someone who knew more. read more

The Dutch Brothers on 174th and division has runners. OK I get that makes sense most of the time today. There's a guy in front of me with a bunch of kids in the car so I go around to get my one small cup of coffee and I was denied because they said I took cuts. Are you kidding me by that person behind me moved forward I could've already had a cup paid for and moved on and they denied making me a cup of coffee, two different people came up. Asking me to leave after I complained about my visit, she then lied to her lead and said that she didn't ask me anything and I informed her that she had asked me and I answered with the truth about my visit and I was not happy. She tried to argue with me and say that this was an aberration but this is the umpteenth time I have not received my promotion item. I am a regular customer and have spent thousands of dollars a year in your store and yet I can't get the promotion item. I've complained to your corporate office and they are ambivalent. I've complained to the store and nothing changes. On top of that her bold face lie and rude attitude towards one of your regular customers is appalling. I'm known as a regular in at least 3 different locations and have considered many of your workers as a friend. The shift lead was a person who knew me and was very helpful but I still felt the need to share how angry I am about how rude she was. I don't care if your workers ask me what is going on in my life. In fact I consider it rude but I get that they are trying to be personable and so I play along. But don't ask me and then tell me I need to leave because your employee is unconcerned with solving my problem or uncaring about my situation. Don't go to this location , got a medium Oceanwater rebel with light ice and it's missing almost half of the rebel . Also got a medium Candy Cane Cold Brew with light ice and it's completely missing the Candy Cane part so it's just a basic cold brew . I didn't understand the hype before and I came out of the drive thru still not understanding the hype. I ordered the Vanilla Bean Freeze less sweet and it came out okay. Actually after a while I feel like it gave me a headache bc it was still too sweet for my liking. My cousin ordered the iced coffee and it literally tastes like a tall iced up of breve wish a splash of coffee. My friend ordered a strawberry banana smoothie and everhthing tasted like it came out of syrup bottle. Especially the banana syrup. Our first time at the legendary Dutch Bros. and it couldn't have gone better. My wife and I were on a road trip and made it a point to visit Dutch Bros., after hearing so much about it from our non-Southern-California friends. For coffee drink lovers, this is your spot. Now, let's be clear: this is all about coffee drinks, not just straight-up coffee. It seemed like everything on the menu was a flavored coffee drink or tea, so you're going to run into a lot of sugar, sweeteners, flavor shots, etc. In other words, you're not coming here for a quick cup of black coffee. Honestly, I've had better coffee elsewhere, BUT I'm giving Dutch Bros. five stars because of the service. For our first visit, the servers couldn't have been more friendly. When we told them we were Southern Californians stopping for the first time, they kindly explained their menu and made a few recommendations. After we received our drinks, they comped them AND gave us free stickers! It was an unexpected and much-appreciated treat as we continued our road trip. We ended up stopping at a few other Dutch Bros. on our way up north and always received the same high quality service. Once you pull in there's no Getting out of the drive through and when the lines backed up it blocks the only parking in, so you get stuck in here badly. So be prepared to wait- during peak times there's often 6+ cars waiting. They try to get the drinks out quickly but it can be quite a wait read more

If I were still in high school I would totally think the girls that work at this DB were the coolest girls in the world and I would wish to be like them. Coincidentally, years after high school I served some solid time as a barista in a few locations and it tended to suck schwitty balls. Henceforth I have a special spot for coffee slingers in my heart. I try to give sweet face and I tip a dollar. My previous Dutch Bros review speaks to my faves. Recently it's a soy hazelnut latte. I have the frequent buyer card. The girls are very nice, kinda sporty spice, crazy spice. Fairly quick the service, and the coffee is always reliably good. I pulled up to the window this morning and happy, smiling Adorable Barista #1 points to me and says "large iced coffee right?" I've never had this happen to me at another coffee shop, even ones I've been to a hundred times. Then happy, smiling Adorable Barista #2 delivers the drink in record time with a kind thank you. Damn, girls. Take pride in knowing that you're among the kindest, best baristas in this town. This is one of the friendliest Dutch Bros locations and one of my favorites. My go to drink is an iced kicker with an extra shot. This place is always consistent in making my drink. Other places I have been to vary.. sometimes it stronger and delicious, other times it tastes like they forgot my extra shot. This place has not done that and I appreciate it! We do not have these in Seattle, but I believe we will one day, I will franchise some myself. I went to several of these per my brothers recommendation, and they are, by far, my favorite coffee place. The service and standards are incredibly consistent, even when I went to franchises with different owners. Usually I drink regular, but I had to try a Carmalizer, (sugar free/non-fat) as they say it is their most popular. Both the regular (private reserve) and the carmalizer are real, really good. I cannot recommend this place enough. Note - be sure to get a punch card! I went there about 4 times before even knowing about it. read more

I live right by the location on 136 and Division, so I walk up to the window and was about to place my order of 4 coffees and was told "our window is closed,it's only open because it's hot". Pretty much what your telling me is that I HAVE to drive to get coffee for me and my coworkers now? I take public transport to reduce my carbon footprint and save money, so being told I can no longer get coffee because I'm not driving, is an absolute disgrace and it's probably costing this location money. This is by far the best Dutch Bros in Portland. The customer service is phenominal, the worker actually takes time to begin a conversation and finish it as well. The location is great because it is less than a minute from my house and is easy to grab on my way into work. The coffee is the best i have had. I have stopped by this Dutch Brothers several times on my way to work. They're very nice at times but my biggest beef is that the less fortunate are always standing right as you are driving out asking for money. So much homeless now and everybody asking for money it's just hard to go there feeling like you have to give to the guy in the wheelchair every single time when you get a coffee. The girls and guys there were very friendly this morning, cheery as always. This was the first time for me at this location; not a grata area of Portland, but these employees don't let that affect them.
