The first Dutch Bros Coffee location in the area is a welcomed addition to the caffeine scene, but not without some quirks that need to be ironed out. First of all, the coffee itself (bean quality, flavor) is much better than other national chains (Starbucks, Dunkin, etc.) but not close to some of the independent roasters in the area. The lines can be long...seriously long...on some days, including those with any type of promotion. If you don't mind waiting 60 minutes for a coffee during these days, then it's for you. However, most other days and times during the week, you'll wait 15 minutes for your order. There are only walk-up and drive thru options, no inside ordering. No seating. No restrooms. Limited parking. Grab and Go only. The staff is young, friendly and most of the time, on top of it, but expect a few hiccups as they get up and running with finding their rhythm for this new store operation. I appreciate the sugar-free and alternative dairy options, as well as the free drink for working up on their app. Overall, I would recommend waiting for the hype to die down a bit and check them out for yourself. We decided to drive by Dutch bros to see how long the line was. It was not long at all so got in line and still ended up waiting 90 minutes. It seems as if the service and wait times are getting worse. When I finally got up to the window to get my drinks I saw there were only 2 employees making drinks. That explains the 90 minute wait time. Come on Dutch Bros, you have to do better especially with how busy you get! I ordered The Iced White Chocolate latte and a golden eagle freeze. I ordered a half-sweet Golden Eagle, and it tasted more like coffee-flavored milk than coffee. My husband kept it simple with a nitro black coffee, but somehow it managed to be both watery and disappointing. The coffee cake, however, absolutely understood the assignment. It's also very slow service. Came at 8:30am. No one in the walk up line and 1 other person waiting. Drive through only half filled. Still took 21 min for an iced rebel. And why does my drink have to go through 3 people to reach me?!? One person makes it, one person puts it on the counter when it's ready, and then another person will call my name so I can actually get it!! Why not just hand out the drink when it's ready?!? It just sits and then the cold foam melts! Another annoying issue I've notice is they don't enforce their handicap parking. I was in the Santa Clarita area and decided to stop by Dutch Bros. The line was long, but not nearly as bad as the first time I visited. Since the drive-thru line was so long, I was advised to get out of my car and order on foot. I was a little hesitant because I had cupcakes sitting in my car, but I figured it would be faster. Boy, was I wrong. I ended up waiting about 30 minutes. I even watched two people who got in line behind me receive their drinks before I did. When I finally asked about my order, the employee told me they were still waiting on one of my drinks. Ugh it completely ruined the experience. Inefficient. They are very bad with keeping track of car lines now. Straight up this is the 2nd time, that I was ahead of someone, yet they took the order of the person behind me cuz I got screwed over in the longer line. And these kids working don't care about the order you're supposed to go. They make excuses like "oh we go in a zig zag pattern." Geez. I first tried Dutch up in Washington & Oregon where it is way superior than down here in Cali. Don't go in the outer line here. It takes longer on the right side. Updating my review after finally trying the drive thru experience here! Kevin and I ended up ordering the same drinks we got during our first visit, but this time we both sized up to larges and added the soft top option. It is a small upcharge, but honestly in our opinion it's completely worth it because it's SO delicious and makes the drinks even creamier and smoother. They also offer a coconut soft top option, but we decided to stick with the classic version this time. Kevin got the Double Torture, and I decided to try the sugar free version of the 9-1-1, and surprisingly I think I might actually like it even more than the original. It still had amazing flavor while tasting a little lighter overall. Even though the drive thru line looked super long, it actually moved pretty fast! We arrived around 8:40am and were out by about 8:55am , which honestly was not bad at all considering how busy this location has been since opening! One thing we really appreciated was how organized everything felt. They had security guards outside helping direct traffic and guide people where to go, which made the process way easier to understand and maneuver despite the long lines. Overall, we had another really great experience here. The drinks were made wonderfully, the service stayed friendly even during the rush, and everything felt smooth and easy!! That being said, Kevin and I will probably still personally opt for the walk-l up option in the future just because it fits our preference a little better. I just don't get the appeal, probably because I'm older than 25. Dutch Bros seems to offer flavors for young folks who have nothing better to do but congregate in places to wait for ages for their order. I order a black coffee. On a day when I'm feeling extra, I'll get a cold brew which is what I got the last time. I had to wait 25 minutes for a product that is no more difficult kit than putting ice in a cup, and pouring already prepared cold coffee over the ice. Pop a lid on it and hand it to me. That should take no more than a couple of minutes, but I had to wait 30 minutes. I won't be back and if you are older than 25, don't go unless you have a good chunk of your day to wait for a drink that should take only a handful of minutes. Do better. read more

For some reason the lines have gotten even worse. I don't know if they have less staff but it takes up to 45-1hr to get your drinks. The whole line issue has gotten worse. Now the lines has gone all the way to the streets where at one point will reach the street lights and cause obstruction. More staff sounds like the solution. So let me just start off by saying I remember seeing the McDonald's and this place getting ready to be built. I thought to myself how in the hell are they going to figure out the whole traffic situation? Fast forward to them opening up I've actually dodged two accidents in almost got in a couple myself trying to come down the hill seeing how backed up they are. My sister and family have talked very highly of this company so I had to try them out at least once or twice. Last week I went through the drive-thru and got something called the Golden eagle. I don't know how many shots of coffee they put in this drink but it was literally nothing but coffee and I had to wait an hour or two after getting home for it to actually become sweet. I thought to myself you know what let me try one more time and get the dolce de leche cuz it's probably sweeter. I was in line today and it was halfway up the Carl Boyer curve. I get to the driveway and the security guard has me roll the window down and explains to me that the fire department has called a couple times the GM and we can't block the street anymore and have to park across the way. The second security guard proceeds to tell me that there's been four or five accidents here already. When I say I was actually in line for a half an hour I mean I was actually in line for a half an hour. And that was after I ordered the drink. Not to mention a large golden eagle was like I think $7.25 last week yet this drink is almost $9? I mean these prices are more than Starbucks and Starbucks is still pretty damn pricey. Holy hell. This drink was a lot sweeter like I like it but it was still I mean whatever I guess? Another thing I noticed is there's at least six or seven employees just standing around outside with the ordering boxes that they wear . Like some of them just stand and sit on the side of the drive-thru not doing anything . I don't know if they're on break or like what are they actually doing? Came mid day during peak rush hour with around 40 customers waiting in both the drive thru lanes and window combined and saw around 10 workers standing outside of the door shotgunning a drink together. A little confused as to why 10 workers may have been taking a break at the same time? Or as to who is still inside manning the fort? I've been in line for over half an hour now and we've barely moved. Not happy with the service, or lack thereof, being provided. Is this really Dutch Bros? Update: finally got to the window area, and most of the workers finished their "break" (?) and returned inside. instead of tending to their dozens of customers, we saw all the employees, through the window, throwing their hands up and dancing to the music being played. the customer in front of us asked to order an additional item after we already received ours. This was my first time trying Dutch Bros, and I'll definitely be back! Bryan the security team manager was friendly, welcoming, and even took the time to explain why security was there. Clearly, the drinks are worth the hype! Ezekiel was also incredibly helpful taking my order and introduced me to their protein drinks. The line was about 15 minutes long, but it was absolutely worth the wait. The drinks were great, and everyone was genuinely kind and helpful. This has got to be the worst location for this establishment ever! The line goes directly into the street which has been a problem from the beginning. Then the city decided they didn't want the line in the street anymore so they told the establishment to not allow this, fine! For a while, they wouldn't allow you to make line into the street, so either circle around or park and go up to the window. But now, management has decided it's a better idea to make the line on the opposite side of the street and make drivers attempt to make a left turn into the parking lot, with opposing traffic still running. So on busy days, this traffic is almost certainly going to reach the light and create even more of a hazard. Bad on Dutch bros for building one in this location and well played on the city for allowing it, then complaining about the traffic, and then telling them they'll fine them if they don't fix it. I ordered at the kiosk since I was working across the street and wanted to try it during lunch. It took them 30 mins for them to make a standard lemonade drink, nothing extra. I had a time stamp on when I paid via credit card and when I got my drink. People ordered after me and got their orders before me. What made it worse was the hot weather. I complained to the manager and he just said sorry with some sarcasm and gave me a free drink. This place is over priced with long wait lines. Girl at window is bad at job! I went in person today at 11am and saw there wasn't much of a line so I ordered my drink and started waiting, two girls were in front of me and seemed to have been waiting a while. Almost 20 minutes pass and they go up and ask for their drinks so I do the same as I have work in the next 15 minutes and must drive there. Apparently there was a group before the girls that didn't get their drinks either! I saw all the drinks sitting on the table right next to the girl who kept looking around and walking aimlessly in the building like she didn't know what to do (she could've helped make drinks or called orders). Though I've seen her many times.
