Cozy coffee shop that makes everything so tasteful... I had their Macha, Chias and lattes and they are always perfectly delicious! My favorite drink by far is their lavender latte, hot, made with half and half simple amazing, creamy, balanced flavor and with the right amount of espresso! Plus everyone is super courteous and amicable. Totally recommend this place

Iced brown sugar latte with lavender cold foam

Iced brown sugar latte with lavender cold foam was the duo I never knew I needed. This shop is beautiful and clean everytime I go in and the staff is always helpful and friendly. Bodhi Leaf coffee is becoming my favorite coffee shop in SCV.

Always a good experience at Bodhi. When I lived locally, I was here several times a week to write/work/read. I'm a Pour Over coffee drinker so I can't speak to all of the lattes etc. And I don't eat many carbs so I can't eat here. But whenever I'm in town, I come back

Best latte and Mocha for a while. Better than many other coffee shops we've been to. Also pet friendly.

We were in the area on a Thursday morning around 8:30a and decided to check it out. Love the interior and the welcoming spirit of the staff. Full disclosure...we are not from the area, so my review is based on what I've experienced at other local coffee shops in Greater LA. The menu is what you'd expect for a coffee shop. This morning, however, they did not have alternative meat (non-pork) options for the breakfast sandwiches. The cashier shared they were out of Turkey and Chicken. As a result, one of us opted not to get anything because it seems off to pay the same price for a sandwich when you aren't getting any meat. I ordered a matcha latte with rose syrup and almond milk...it was decent but not the best I've had. It also came luke warm. The barista pleasantly agreed to fix it and made a new one. The second one was PERFECT! I ordered the Classic Breakfast Burrito (with bacon). I selected the green sauce with it and really enjoyed the taste and flavor. This place is worth a try if you're in the area. Just beware of meat options if you are partial.

Great coffee shop if you're looking for a quick in-N-out. The service was amazing - the girls in there were super sweet. They have a pretty good selection of baked goods and I will say their lavender lemon scone was absolutely amazing, do you ask for it warmed up it just adds more flavor to it. As someone who always needs to try an iced vanilla latte at every coffee shop I go to I must say that this one did not disappoint. The coffee to milk ratio was great and pricing was pretty standard. Interior is comfortable and is nice if you want to work out of a coffee shop. My review is as follows: - Food: 5/5 - Service: 5/5 - Ambiance: 5/5

Cold brew with heavy cream and a Butter Beer latte.

Nothing like finding a place that has for here mugs! very cute spot inside. My husband got his normal cold brew with heavy cream. I don't think we liked how floral it tasted. I got the seasonal Butter Beer latte and it wasn't overly sweet. I didn't taste a lot of the flavor, but the foam was perfection. You know when it's a good latte when the foam stays wet through the entire drink.

My son recommended this roaster as I just moved here from Seattle. They have lovey outdoor seating and my dog loves a pup cup. On this day, I was the 5th person in line. The person ordering was ordering for 30 people and it was not just drips. They ordered iced, hot, syrups, etc. After waiting about six minutes, I asked the girl with braids filling the cups with ice if I could have a pup cup. She said they had to fill the larger order first. I said please make the pup cup. She said just a moment, filled a couple more cups and then filled the pup cup. I said to her, "You are so kind." Then she gave me a look that said "You bitch." I hope the rest of the staff have a more respectful attitude toward customers,

This location is in a shared strip with other businesses and free parking. I visited early on a Sunday. It really liked the vibe inside- it was chill, not loud, tables available for work or hanging out. There were lots of options if you wanted to purchase some beans which I did. The service was great and knowledgeable. The coffee was really good. I really enjoyed the vanilla latte with almond milk, the coffee was smooth and the drink not too sweet. I am looking forward to using my beans.

I'm always looking for a real coffee shop in the morning when I am traveling. Thanks to Yelp's sorting, this popped up. Bodhi Leaf has a simple menu with seasonal drinks and reasonable prices. The workers were all chill and friendly, as coffee shop workers should be. They had a good amount of seating. Ordering was easy and we received our drinks 5-10 minutes later. I like the esthetics from the pipe chairs to the wooden tables. I tried the Churro Latte with cinnamon, vanilla syrup, and topped with a cinnamon stick. It was one of the best autumn drinks I've ever had and the temperature wasn't overly hot and messed up the drink like other places. I'll be back when I'm in the area. Parking was simple too.

The main thing that stands out here is their 1987 coffee roaster which is the center piece of the cafe. They roast various single origin beans on a daily basis, so you know you can purchase some fresh coffee beans here. If you need your beans grounded, they do grind it for you depending on your brewing method. They have beans of light roast, medium roast and dark roast and sell by various weights for a very reasonable price. They also sell various tea leaves, baked goods (croissant, muffin, scones, bagel, Danish, coffee cake, Dessert Therapy cookies, and merchs. They also have a seasonable menu that changes. When I went, it was the Sakura season menu. Staff were all friendly and were very willing to answer any questions regarding the menu. Please note, the base coffee blend for each day varies and rotates on a daily basis For my visit, I tried ... 1. Buttered Coffee (4.5/5) The base coffee for the day was the Peru single origin, which was well-balanced; slightly sweet with a hint of tartness and nuttiness. They then add a chunk of butter into the coffee, which helps cut some of the acidity, but also is supposed to enhance the caffeine effect and give you additional energy from the fat. It does leave a layer of fat/oiliness so if you are not a fan of that, then this may not be for you. The butter did give it a subtle buttery flavor, which I personally liked. 2. Matcha with Sakura Cold Foam (4/5) The matcha was blended smoothly and was not grassy at all. The Sakura cold foam didn't really taste like Sakura (been to Japan, so know what real Sakura flavor should taste like), but instead, just tasted floral. 3. Columbia Supremo Whole Beans Full body and aromatic. Good for those who like to drink black coffee 4. Guatemala Huehuetenango Whole Beans: Crisp, acidic and a hint of nuttiness Glad I found this local roaster where I'll definitely be coming back to get some more fresh beans.

I came when it was not busy and got my drink in under two minutes. However, the person sitting next to me (with the cutest doggie! They're dog friendly, I think ) waited longer than 10 minutes for her drink. However, this was during a rush and when it was probably the busiest in the morning (?) AMBIANCE AND ENVIRONMENT: The music volume was pretty good. It was low level when the place got busy due to people chatting, machines, ice scooping etc., but when it wasn't so busy, the level was about medium due to the atmosphere being more quiet. The vibes were Mumford and sons, Oasis, Of Monsters and Men, the Head and the Heart, and some classical sprinkled here and there. It is smaller than a chain, but cozy with quite a few seats and table options. I think they did a great job at making the best of the space. The space also encourages community as half of the seating options are shared/shareable. All within an arms reach, which in my personal opinion, is plenty of space. Because of this, it encourages you to acknowledge your fellow human being sitting across, or beside you. The environment was clean, bright, and comfortable. The environment feedback I woukd give is perhaps a stronger sun shade in the windows that the bar and stools face. I first sat here but within minutes decide to move because the heat was a bit too much for me. Again! A personal preference. Coffee shops can also naturally get warm due to the energy being used for the machines and refrigerators, so something to consider. The air-conditioning kicked in a little later which helped make it more comfortable. Another thing I noticed is the outlet near the corner table and lounge chairs has a an outlet extender plugged into the wall outlet, but the wall outlet is extremely loose with no faceplate. This can cause electric shock, wiring damage and possible fires. I know from personal experience. It's a real easy and cheap fix that I highlyyy recommend they do ASAP. Just trying to be helpful because I really, really like this spot. FOOD AND DRINKS: I ordered a Hibiscus Berry Blend, as is, iced. It was $5.00 even. It is served in a14 Oz. cup. With ice, it's probably about 12-13 Oz. of drink you're getting. I think it was worth it. The flavor was equal and very nice. Not too fruity, not too watery. It wasn't sweet, due to me not asking for any additional sweetener. As I sat and worked, I heard a lot of other orders and some were very creative. So they do have all those fun drinks people love to indulge in occasionally. They also have classic drip coffee and loose leaf tea. THE REASON WHY I TRIED INICIO: The biggest thing I noticed, being an activist myself involved in many efforts for social justice through my work and personal life, was their mission to erase modern day slavery. Human trafficking is a horrible thing that unfortunately is haooening right before out very eyes. They donate a portion of all food, drink, and catering sales to Justice 180. That is honestly, the reason why I came. I would love to partner with them and invite them to come cater at my center. I plan to spread the word about this place and continue to support them.
