This place was nice and cozy with a good amount of seating, making it a great place to relax. Parking was also very easy, which is always a plus. The barista was extremely kind and patient, especially since it was our first time visiting. We ordered the seasonal Can't Catch Me cold brew (gingerbread cold brew with cheese foam), the pistachio matcha latte, and the bear paw. The drinks were delicious! We really appreciated that they weren't overly sweet and that there are so many syrup options to choose from. The cheese foam was especially good and added a nice touch to the cold brew. I decided to get their loaded avocado toast. Welllll guess what? They are out of prosciutto. Damnit! But I get it anyway. Man, not only was it a beautiful presentation, but It was delicious just the way it was. I can only imagine how much better it would be if it had the prosciutto. Now, the drinks. Drinks were very good and I like that they serve them in glass mugs. They place itself it very warm and welcoming. Cute merch and a variety of coffee and coffee related items. When I asked to sub turkey bacon for bacon, I was told they were out of turkey bacon...and also out of tots. Apparently they were "out of a lot of things today" because it was their order day. Good to know, I guess. Then my coffee wasn't hot because it had been brewed an hour earlier. I was offered an Americano instead, but I just really wanted a fresh, hot cup of coffee. Wanted to check out a different spot, the vibe seemed chill. A younger curly haired gentleman worker came to his register, didn't say hi, my gf said hi, he ignored her, then I replied hey how are you doing? Then he said "fine, thanks"... my dude definitely wasn't feeling it and probably wanted to be somewhere esle. We ordered basic ice lattes, a vegan burrito and avocado toast.. the girl employees seemed chill and nice. My the looks of it the gentleman worked seemed pretty new based of their interaction about the number of esspresso shots that go in the drinks. The good They had vegan options which is amazing to see but let's talk about the quality. The bad was yes they have vegan and vegetarian options. However the Vincent vegan burrito I tried was burnt to the wrapping paper and extremely hot. The side of Tator tots was served more like mashed potatoes. Bodhi Leaf never disappoints! It was my first time at this location because I mostly frequent the other Bodhi Leaf location on Soledad Canyon Road in Santa Clarita. My go-to coffee order is the iced butter beer latte, which I feel isn't an item that is commonly ordered. This Bodhi Leaf location is slightly smaller, but their customer service is still great. Needed my coffee this morning so we decided to check this place out since we'd be in the area! Immediately noticed the packed cafe! Seems like a poppin spot to hang out. Almost everyone was either with someone or a group of people which feels so rare to see in cafes out here. I figured the coffee must be really good for it to be this busy! The menu didn't really have any signature drinks. They had a few but not really "coffee" drinks. They had some pumpkin, matcha one and a blueberry latte one which I wasn't feeling. I normally don't go for fruity drinks and I feel like that was borderline for me. So, I ended up just getting a basic iced hazelnut latte and it was perfect. The right amount of ice and they really top it off for you. I only got a 12oz but that was more than plenty for me. The flavor was there and the staff were very nice. I used to love Bodhi but have been out of town for a couple of years. I was excited to be back at my go-to spot, but have had terrible experiences. I've now been back at least three times and continue to have awful experiences. I ordered a drip coffee and received it lukewarm. my go-to order is a capp but I saw a barista burn and absolutely over-foam the milk on someone else's order. so I ordered an 8oz latte to not have that disaster. it was only about 5oz full and the rest was straight burnt foam. it's almost like they don't even know latte art exists. they were out of stock of basic things like cane sugar, vanilla syrup, and even one of their current seasonal drinks. the food was good last I checked but I don't plan on ever coming back. Easily my favorite coffee shop in Santa Clarita. The staff is always so helpful, music is good, coffee pretty delicious, and more flavors than most other places in LA. Not to mention, there is a decent amount of seating inside and outside compared to their other location in SCV, and the natural light pouring in makes for a great place to focus well. The reason for 4/5 stars is because the WiFi is a bit of a pain at times though if you need it long term, but is definitely doable for most things. Also, the food can sometimes be a hit or miss, but I'd say mostly a hit. Otherwise, put this friendly, local coffee shop on your must-visit list! read more
