My sales consultant Al Pina was courteous and efficient, but not pushy. He was extremely professional and went the extra mile, making sure that the transaction went smoothly. Al took some time and managed to get me a better interest rate even after I told him that I already had a great deal through my credit union. Al called me the next day to make sure that the OnStar and Series were working and followed up to make sure that I didn't have any questions. DUTTON LEASING: A BAD DEAL I went to the Buick dealership to see the 2015 Buick Encore. The sales guy told me that it was a "feminine car" that "they usually only sold to school marms" & that compact SUVs are a death trap in front side collisions. Then he started pushing 2015 Buick Verano on me for the next hour. 21 city, 32 highway; a gas guzzler by today's standards. They wanted $25k for a stock model with manual everything. We asked to look at the used cars. He only let us look at 2 for a millisecond, and said "150k miles, this car is practically dead." In the office, he refused to offer anything except for a 3 yr lease deal. He said "owning a car is only for people who are hard core about thinking they have to own a vehicle" (mockingly). $310/mth + tax + full coverage insurance on a $25k car + ($1,200 deposit or my 98' BMW as a trade in). So after 3 years I will have traded in my BMW and paid $11,160 to rent a car. Then they will ask for the keys back or give me a bill for a balloon payment of $14,500. After $11,160 + a BMW trade in, they should be handing me the car title, not my walking papers. In my opinion leasing is a scam to get $25k out of a $14k car. I will say that their service department is top notch, friendly, low cost, and shuttle my mom home & back to pick up her car. We were surprised to have such a different experience when talking to the sales staff. I miss the old days of "up front pricing" & seeing cars you're actually interested in. From what I have seen at the Riverside auto dealerships, those days are gone. I will take my chances with Auto Trader. read more

I was in the market for a 2014 CTS, so I went to the Temecula dealership I had purchased my STS from in 2009. After spending several hours of negotiations with the Temecula dealer, I contacted Dutton and inquired about the same car, which they happened to have on their lot. Within minutes Irma from Dutton not only gave me a better price on the car, but offered me more for my trade, and she sent me the VIN number and a breakdown of what options came on the car. The price was over $200 per month less than the dealer in Temecula. So, I thought this must be another bait and switch sales tactic. Being hesitant to make the drive to Riverside from Temecula, I didn't commit to purchasing from either dealerships. Three days later, and still not purchasing the CTS, I made the drive to Dutton and introduced myself to Irma and her manager Steve. Asked if the car I inquired about and the price were still available. Being that I waited till December, GM did not allow leasing of the 2014 CTS. Disappointed that I missed my opportunity I was ready to leave and simply keep my 2006 STS for another year. My disappointment was resolved when Steve and Irma showed me the 2015 CTS along with the pricing and options. Yes my friends, Dutton offered me the 2015 CTS with all the same options as the 2014 CTS at roughly the price. A deal was made on the spot. Since the car wasn't at their dealership, I did have to wait till the next afternoon to take delivery of my new car. Steve and Irma took care of everything. As a matter of fact, to make the deal work, Dutton gave me more for my trade (Roughly $3,000) than the Temecula Dealer. On December 5, 2014 I drove off in my new CTS! Not only is my car fantastic, but the service I received from Irma, Steve, and Gary in financing was second to none. I have already recommended Dutton to my friends and will suggest to anyone looking for a Cadillac, GM, or Buick to contact Irma and Steve. No haggling, no bait and switch, and excellent service. I purchased my Escalade from them about 5 months again. I called to get service because I need an oil change. I asked how long the wait is typically he said 2 and a half to 3 hours. I said okay. Can you Offer a vehicle while I wait. He said no we don't do that. Not being petty but.... I have had Lexus and BMW and both offered me a vehicle while waiting extended periods of times. No call to respect that they were there first and to let them continue the process, no courtesy and blatant disrespect. I gave Travis the chance to make this right, to earn my parents business back and he promised me he would first thing this morning. I explained to him that I would share the honest experience of what they went through as Dutton cares clearly not for all customers equally as the car went to a customer who was doing a lease return. Instead of keeping 2 clients, the lease return and my parents, they only kept 1. They lied to my parents, they lied to me about making it right and truthfully I am glad that they did not because they don't deserve our business in the first place paying half cash for the vehicle. Well, it's been a little over a year and a half since we last visited Dutton Motors. With a growing family we decided we needed a bigger car, but were not sure what we wanted. So, we stopped in at Dutton. We were immediately greeted by GG who showed us a few options. We were unable to stay because our 2.5 year old was losing his patience. We ended up coming back another day alone. GG spent the entire afternoon helping us look and test drive, but I just couldn't make up my mind and nothing seemed quite right. She was EXTREMELY patient with us, especially when we left empty handed. A couple of days later my husband and I had made up our minds and called GG. She had the car we wanted ready for us to see. We made a deal on the spot and couldn't have been happier. In fact, Dutton ended up beating the auto rate my Credit Union approved us for! We also want to give a BIG thank you to Travis for helping us smooth out all the details with our car and to Mariah who was extremely efficient in the Service Department. There were two different programs that we could use to get no-haggle pricing on the car, and Candace helped to steer us to the best one. The pricing was exactly what we asked for based on one of the programs, so no complaints there! Candace is really what made the experience though - she is thoughtful and knowledgeable - and she is NOT pushy; these are the things that endear a buyer to a dealership! Gary in finance was also very personable and he presented all of the extras in a nice professional way, even though we did not purchase any of them. We had an opportunity to meet 'Woody' Dutton when we picked up the car, and he was also as nice as could be - he chatted with us for 10 minutes or so and I think that it is always nice if the owner of the business seems like he cares - and he did give that impression very genuinely. My husband I went in a few months ago after first visiting several of the big dealerships in the area. The place didnt look like much, but we figured, hell it doesn't hurt to take a look, there were some nice vehicles on the lot. We were very pleasantly surprised to be treated so well, the salesmen weren't like the others that we had been dealing with. These guys at Dutton were real gentlemen, they treat you more like an old friend, where all of the other places we felt the vibe of just being another commission. We worked with Jim, he's such a nice guy, laid back, you could kind of just shoot the breeze with him. Jim is one of those few honest salesmen that really want to help you find what's right for YOU. He didn't try to upsale us at all, and was not pushy, he just presented quality merchandise and a caring attitude. Coming from a sales background, I was really impressed with him. We ended up purchasing a really nice truck, the process was really quick and painless. We also worked with Jim pretty much the whole time, where at the other dealerships we had visited, got passed around like a football from one salesman to the next, and that was just while perusing around! (I still don't understand that sales approach at all- there ws no repoir building or personal approach to it all). Anyway long story short, we LOVE Jim and Dutton! My review is long past due. In Jan 2015 my husband received an email with special GM truck month offers for the GMC Sierra. My husband has been wanting a Sierra for as long as I can remember so I agreed that he visit the location to run numbers and see if it was worth giving up our Silverado. About an hour later, my husband calls and asks me to meet him at the dealership so I can see the truck. The staff at Dutton is very nice and attentive. Very honest and not pushy or overbearing. My husband drove the truck and signed paperwork within an hour and a half. I have been to numerous car dealerships and my experience at Dutton is a very pleasant one. On a separate occasion i visited Dutton to see a used 2013 Verano and they very regretfully informed me my price point could not be met. I really appreciated this approach. Every other car dealership will push you to increase your set monthly payment goals. Not Dutton. read more

I pulled into the service department because my check engine light came on. I have a 2018 Buick Enclave AWD Premier Edition with 23k on it so it is under the bumper to bumper warranty. I have been to Dutton several times and normally have received top notch service. The last couple time have been a bit irritating, but last night took the cake. I pull up, explain the check engine light just came on. The service guys says I can leave it so they can diagnose it, I said, that's fine, I just need a rental or a loaner car. He said, they have no loaners. I said, ok, I'll take a rental. The service guys says he can't provide a rental until it gets diagnosed. I said, it under bumper to bumper warranty, what ever it is, it's covered, so I should be able to get a rental. He said, he cannot get me a rental until after diagnosis. And that I should try Riverside Chevrolet across the street. I really was shocked, since I have pulled up and got a rental before from Dutton. So, I left! Went across the street to Riverside Chevrolet and now it's 5:20 pm. I explain the situation with the service guy, he checks my car in, calls Enterprise to pick me up and orders the rental for me. I guess Dutton Buick GMC Cadillac wants to send all their business to Riverside Chevrolet. My lease on my 2018 GMC Denali Ultimate truck is up in May, so it looks like I'll have to switch to a Chevrolet Silverado High Country or maybe even Ford. In a nut shell. Yet again a visit to the Auto Body Shop of Dutton Motors. Needed to get some touch up paint...called and spoke to Camille. As always she was professional not only that, she remembered me by name. I told her what I needed but didn't have the vin number handy..so she took the time and looked it up. By the time I physically got to the shop she had the information I needed on a print out. I was able to take it to the parts department and within minutes I recieved the item, paid for it and on my way. The time it took was amazingly fast friendly and polite. I have to mention the Auto Body Shop looked really good with its new face lift. Impressive and it shows that Dutton cares about the atmosphere not only for clients but there employees as well. After reading some of the negative reviews it should make you wonder if people are there to eat and drink or to buy a car. Others state their paint was in perfect condition yet it is in the body shop? Take those reviews with a bag of salt. My experience was great. I worked with Mike Eisele in the used car dept. Mike didn't waste my time. I told him what I was expecting and he brought out the paperwork of the "deal". No haggle and no pressure. Sure the dealership is dated but I wasn't there to grade the building's looks. They will be going through a remodel because GM is demanding it. Riverside has this dealership as a historical building. I don't think they would have lasted as long as they have with poor service as some of the complaints state. When I received my vehicle I was given a "Due Bill" because they noticed that the windshield was scratched. I am going in this week for a replacement at no charge. I purchased a Vehicle with Dutton motors and every since I purchased the vehicle I've been having major issues. I've taken the vehicle back over 10 times in hopes that they would fix the issues but they just keep telling me they can't duplicate them and sending me on my way, forcing my husband and I and our children to ride in a unsafe vehicle, as it is the only one that are eight count family can fit in. I also have a few friends who have purchased from them who have also had horrible experiences with the vehicles that they purchased from Dutton. The vehicles that they sale are unsafe, if you get a vehicle with them it would be a total rip off. Save your money for another car lot that sale safe vehicles for you and your family. I have purchased my last 5 GM vehicles from Dutton Cadillac. Approximately three months ago I took my 2016 Cadillac ATS into get serviced and have some warranty issues repaired they kept my car for approximately five days calling me telling me they could not touch it because of an aftermarket part when there was nothing after market on the vehicle. I then took the car to another mechanic to have the repairs fixed took it in today to have some basic work done and they denied any and all warranty work I had because of a bad CSI that I had given them from the previous service and told me my vehicle was out of warranty when I have 21,000 miles and just purchased it a year and a half ago. Hands down the worst dealership I have ever dealt with I would definitely not recommend their service department to anybody I am in the process of dealing with Cadillac to get this handled and resolved nobody deserves to be treated the way they treated my wife this morning. Also, they sold me a tire, on a new car, that I just found out had a plug in it. In other words someone, and I don't know who, put a temporary fix in a puncture in this tire and then sold it to me.
