But all gates had clear display of departing flights. There some restaurants and airline lounges available as well. The signs for other terminals and baggage claim clearly posted. The shuttle was a fun experience. The vehicles looked like from action movie. In the main terminal, baggage claim area was huge. Our luggages were sitting in the carousel by the time we arrived. For ground transportation, the airport has separated out Uber pick ups, parking lots, buses and rental car shuttles. It was convenient. We didn't see a whole lot of traffic. The rental car lots are about 5 minutes bus ride away.

We also had to take the same shuttle to baggage claims. Many restaurants and shops. It's not as modern and updated as other airports. The ride from terminal to terminal was nice tho.

This airline is of the best I have ever flown with…read more Upon boarding the plane we were provided provided escort to our seats in first class, which were actually more like apartments. The first class seats literally have everything you could possibly need for pajamas, toiletries, snacks and entertainment. If there is anything you may need just push the call button or ask and they will do whatever they can to help. Everyone onboard is exceptional in everything they do, especially ensuring you are satisfied and have everything you require. The entertainment offered on board is quite a variety and they keep up to date on tv shows and movies. They also provide flight information in real time and other entertainment options, including music. They do have headphones available as well. The food is order on demand, so instead of setting your dinner order, breakfast order and times, they will share with you the menu's in advance, place your order when you are ready. The dink menu for first class is phenomenal, the vintage scotch and port are two of my favorites. I love to end the evening with a 1964 port. Take your drink to the bar I order to stretch your legs if you like, whatever you are drinking will follow you if you advise staff, business class does not have the same drink menu. The food is exceptionally well prepared and so is the place setting. You will also be asked to schedule your morning shower, I noticed many people not wanting to shower but I have to say there is nothing better at the end of a long flight and no worries of getting cold feet as the bathroom floors are heated for your comfort. You will have 30 minutes to shower total and 5 minutes of water use so watch the timer and turn off in between lathering and rinsing. Once you are ready for bed just ask to have the bed made up and you will be ready to sleep, not everyone uses the pajamas supplied but I find them very comfortable. If your looking for a five star airline, you have it with Emirates! Cheers!!

The Lounge is on the smaller side with a cafeteria atmosphere at the bar side, small food selection and limited "living room" style chairs in main area. Upstairs was closed. Waitstaff were friendly. Not all beverages are on "the house."

During late layers/early mornings, they may only open one checkpoint, but they still move pretty quickly. The TSA staff are efficient and usually patient. The terminal is easy to navigate, but the train can be intimidating for first-timers, so give yourself enough time.

I was especially unhappy about the $44 charge they have for Wi-Fi access on a flight from Munich to Dulles international as I paid less than half of that with United during my flight to Munich. Also, the food offered during the flight and the service was not what one would expect for business class travel. Based on this experience, I am going to avoid flying Lufthansa in the near future, but to give them credit where it is due the only thing they have working for them is their punctuality and ability to avoid flight delays.

2.50 overall…read more Buying a ticket is an ordeal. Took me at least 4 tries using the app and laptop to actually complete the process and there is no customer service number that works! No possibility of staff contact before you get to the airport. What the website and app warns about carry-on bag expectations is intimidating (max weight and measurements) and then ignored. The check in and boarding process at Dulles was a 1 out of 5. Blond Asian ignored my friendly greeting and barely did his job. While boarding the machine that reads electronic boarding passes was broken (the previous agent had not printed me one). After holding up the boarding line for 5 mins the agent jotted down my passport number and told me to board. Once boarded my name was called and a man came and asked to look at my boarding pass and passport before leaving the plane. During the flight passengers were offered egg and cheese sandwiches or apple pie as options. The sandwich was acceptable. No snacks were offered (which was fine as I had brought fruit salad and nuts). Water and beverages should be offered more frequently on such a long flight. Could not understand what the pilot announced over the speaker system first in Spanish followed by English. The return flight there was a gate change to another terminal and gate. And the gate numbers in the app, email and airport board didn't match. I was there early enough to walk the 100 gates to the next terminal and I'm able bodied thankfully. The flight staff were attentive and warm. The pluses+++ I arrived to and from my destination safely and on time. Tickets cost less than other airlines and the flight was non-stop-direct. Tip- get a paper boarding pass printed!!

But, I am here to say I have a totally different experience. Copa Airlines actually was not bad at all.... near perfect in some respects. The service was great, friendly, the seats were comfortable and all flights as part of my travel departed on time. Not to mention the price point, was very competitive for flights to the same destinations that I compared against US based airlines I flew to San Andreas Islands for the first leg of my trip for a couple of days stay Them, I met up with some friends in Cartagena for the rest of my trip. For both legs of my trip and return home flights, there were no issues. I will say my only gripe is the connection information tended to be lagging or lack there of between some of my airport destinations. Also, the double checking process by security personnel directly at the departing gate of your flight during my return flight was a bit annoying being that you went through this process in the airport. Hence, this can leave you a bit stressful racing from one end of the airport to the next, which was something I did not like during my trip to San Andreas on Copa Airlines. I only had a small window of time and go figure the connecting flight was on the other end of the airport in Panama City. We sat in Premium Economy and found the seats very comfortable, spacious with decent legroom. Also, on my return flight to Washington DC I chose the exit row seats which were top-notch and the best. Almost just about as much space as first class. The infotainment screen and content was was great. Lots of good movie choices, and entertainment to buy the time away. During this time, the. Service was fine and the snacks:food was good. And all, no major complaints or issues. I would fly Copa Airlines again. The price and flight schedules could not be beat in comparison to the US based airline I was considering. As I mentioned earlier, the flights departed and arrived on time. Transiting through Panama City was easy thought a bit of a walk. I would definitely recommend and use them again to travel to Central or South America. ELITE TIP: When booking with Copa Airlines, consider the booking price that includes your checked baggage. It's actually cheaper than paying separately. Also, where possible, consider going with the premium economy seats, and/or exit seats if the price point fits your budget. You'll be happy that you did.
