My mother took in her 78 record from the 40s and that was on 8/31/2015. We still have heard nothing from this company as to when the transfer to CD will be complete. They promised us they we email samples of restoration levels for us to choose from and we have gotten nothing. Just got back 40 years of silent film and sound videos to convert to a 2 TB HDD. Everyone was very helpful, and they bent over backward to please. I paid extra for the "Premium" service of improving the exposure, lighting, etc. on the old silent film. It was well worth it because the film came back much clearer and brighter than the original film was (Josh spent a lot of time upgrading them). read more

I brought some small audio reels to be converted to digital files a few months ago. I chose this company mainly because they were local and I could hand my media directly to a technician instead of mailing them off. Their prices were more than I would pay for mailing off the reels at a big box store, but it was worth it for me since I wanted to maintain a clear chain of custody, thus avoiding the possibility of being lost. This, in my opinion is a huge advantage. They estimated that it would take about 4-5 days to complete the conversion. I received a call after 3 days saying they were done! I took in 8 VCR tapes with about 28 hours of home videos of the kids growing up. It came out to about $10 per hour for them to transfer them onto an external drive that I furnished. They put them in 8 folders on the drive in a manner that I was able to edit once I got the drive home. Now I can condense and organize the videos as I like, and make as many copies as necessary for all of my kids and myself. They only took a week to transfer. I was so excited that I have found a professional place to do this for me ( compared to cvs, who just sends it out to who knows who!) everything went fine, but there was a malfunction in the VHS transfer. Complete professionals. On time service. I had photos, Mini DVC tapes and even an old VHS tape transferred to digital. It is now all on my external hard drive which they sold to me at a great price. I even bought two additional drives and they put all of the videos on those and I was able to give one to each of my sons. That is because all of the DVC tapes are of the two of them growing up. And the photos are now all rotating through my screen saver every 3 seconds...giving me joyous memories over and over. What are you waiting for? I have an important family event, our appearance on Family Feud in 1984, recorded on beta tape. I needed to find someone who could put it on DVD for me and I found DVD Your Memories in Irvine, CA. The tape was in pretty good shape, but it was nearly 30 years old and had not been stored properly for most of that time. DVD Your Memories did excellent work. Their customer service is outstanding. The work was done on time and the cost was reasonable. I was able to get DVDs for each of my family members. If you're like me, you may have a bunch of 8mm video tapes in your closet filed with years of school events, birthday parties, and holidays. Finally took the time to convert them into digital files... So that we could watch on our computers, cast them onto our TV, and view on our iPads. When I called is was given one price for having my dvd converted to a dvd that could be played on TV. I had 8 that I wanted converted. Took them in and gave them a down payment. Then a week or so later I got a call from the person that was processing them and asked the same questions again. Lied about ship date for another week (blamed the postman for not picking it up, if you can believe that!) . This place is the best! Gave them two old reel tapes from the mid 1970's of an assumed old band I had done some original recordings of to transfer-as I never had any way to verify these tapes (They were originally recorded from a then mobil recording service). I truly never knew what was on these old tapes for 40 years because I had no way of running them but had them stored away. Ryan, at DVD Your Memories not only went through them for me but also verified that they were tapes of other recorded gibberish and contacted me to inform me that they were not my old recordings and something else entirely. Needless to say, the disappointment I experienced when finding out the tapes were fake. It was a big let-down. However, although it ended up there was nothing worthy of transfer, Manager Ryan didn't charge me a penny for the process of finding out the content of those dusty old tapes and my experience with them was fantastic. I am a full time musician and session artist and I can tell you their facility is clean, courteous and professional. I will most definitely be taking them some of my family 8mm films and possibly some old cassette tapes for transfer in the near future. I recently had over 500 slides, several photos and two reels of Super8 film transferred to digital media on flash drives and DVDs to share with family members and friends. The resulting quality and level of customer support exceeded my expectations. While I wouldn't have been inclined to drag out a movie or slide projector for viewing, now watching a slide show or videos is so much easier, and by casting these transfers up to a large-screen TV, the whole family can enjoy the memories. I met with Tamarah who walked me through the process and helped categorize the slides into separate files for easy viewing and editing later on. I've been meaning to do a review for so long. I really want to thank the friendly staff at DVD your memories. Nearing the rush of finding gifts for my family, my brother and I always wanted to convert our childhood videos to dvd for our parents. After going to walgreens and dealing with clueless staff. They informed me that the Video would be shipped to a company to convert the video. But, knowing that that video was the only copy of our home videos, I was afraid of it getting lost and those memories would be gone forever. For my parent's sake, I couldn't risk that. Although, I never look forward to the moments my parents decide to show the girl I'm dating videos of me running naked as 2 year old, but its important to my mother. I found DVD your memories on Yelp, and I called the office. I asked how long it would take, cause it was two weeks before christmas. I was concerned if they had a lot of orders or were too busy, but the clerk told me it would take a week. I told him I would be there tomorrow to give them the video. When I arrived the office was really clean and looked very organized. The attendant was very polite and even joked with me a bit. I believe Blake was the person to help me over Email. Long story short, when I got the DVD and also the VHS intact, I was completely satisfied with my decision to go with DVD your memories, The DVD was great quality and the video came back in good condition. So I highly recomend their services. They even let me test out the dvd first. I called and told them I had a few (5) 35 mm slides that I needed converted to dvd for a funeral slide show so obviously time was a priority. They assured me they could have them completed in time. They were completed on time however when I got to target to print out the 5 photos I was extremely disappointed to fund that out of 5 only 1 was useable. It was extremely easy to see from the pics on the dvd that the slides were dirty (looked like dried liquid). I took out the slides quickly wiped and sure enough that was the issue on the 4 non useable slides. Now I would understand if I had brought in hundreds of slides but I brought in 5 (paid the min $10 ) And they new it was for a funeral! How could the "professional" look at the product and not take the pride in their work enough to simply wipe the 1 square inch slide on those 4 slides. Will never use them again and do not suggest anyone use them. read more

I had a mini vhs tape containing about an hour of old super 8 home movies my father took in the 60s. I took that tape to one place to copy onto DVD, got it back and it kept stopping and would never queue back up. I gave the same mini vhs to DVD Your Memories and in about 3 days, it was copied to a DVD and plays perfectly! these guys are solid. i have had several vhs tapes transferred to dvd and have been pleased with the quality. i like that your content isn't shipped to some remote facility with the possibility of being lost. this stuff is irreplaceable, right? so it's nice to know that it is staying within those four walls. the staff is very patient and takes the time to explain any issues or enhancements they have made. the service is a bit pricey but i am more than happy to pay that premium. read more
