I always get the chicken shawarma and it's consistently good, well seasoned, never dry. Honestly the baba ghanoush might be my favorite thing on the menu. I've now had both the chicken & beef shawarma and both were great. The rice is delicious and the servings generous enough for two meals. For sides, I've tried the hummus, tabouleh, and mutabal. All delicious. I don't usually order tabouleh because it often tastes lackluster, but the one here is super fresh and totally worth it. I don't even know where to start -- this place is phenomenal! From the moment we walked in, the new owner greeted us so kindly and made us feel like family. You can immediately tell how much pride and love go into everything here -- the food, the atmosphere, the hospitality -- all of it. I brought my friend for lunch who's never had Mediterranean food before (she's a bit set in her ways), and by the end she was absolutely moaning with delight over every bite. We started with the potatoes -- perfectly seasoned, crispy, and addictive. For lunch, she ordered the grilled prawns and I got the two-meat combo for $25, which came with rice and two sides. The portions were incredibly generous -- I had enough to take home another full meal! She chose the potato salad and roasted beets, both amazing. The potato salad was like a chunky, lemony mashed potato -- light, bright, and full of flavor. The beets were perfectly roasted and so fresh. I had the chicken skewers and kafta -- both juicy, tender, and full of that perfectly balanced Mediterranean spice blend. My sides were the eggplant dip and tabouli, both spot-on and beautifully executed. Everything came with the warmest, fluffiest pita bread and a side of garlicky sauce that should honestly be bottled and sold -- it's that good. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful -- modern yet cozy -- and the service couldn't have been more welcoming. We came in on December 20th around 6pm. We were greeted immediately when we arrived. Cailey was the waitress and Felipe was the chef. DVine Mediterranean is located in a small strip mall just off of Bellflowe and Stearns. John was our server who warmly welcomed and seated us. We placed our order and within a short time we were served. Wile we were dining we noticed LOTS of to go orders which was understandable as our meals were delicious! The hummus, tabbouleh, salmon and kefta were THE best! Were huge Mediterranean foodies and frequent many of the Mediterranean restaurants in town and we felt the preparations at DVine were just as good as the much pricier options nearby. 4/5 stars was awarded because the rice lacked the flavoring that one would expect for a well seasoned Mediterranean meal. The hummus was warm and fragrant. The dolmas had the richest taste and the filling inside was so satisfying. The only thing that could be improved was the pita bread, which was good but not superb, but I am just nit-picking now. Service was friendly and very efficient.
