    Accent wall and my family
    Melissa M.

Went here for an early Sunday dinner with the family after visiting MoLAA and HOLY MOLY, it was incredible. My only regret is that I do not live closer (I've set down roots all the way in San Diego county). My family and I shared cauliflower and mutabel and a complimentary falafel appetizer. Around the table, we ordered individual entrees which included more falafel, chicken kebab, salmon and lamb kebab. My husband has a rather particular palate and he was blown away by everything he tried. I loved trying new-to-me sides like the turshi and potato salad. In addition to the server's patience with us (our party of 5 can be a little much sometimes and tend to hold tables hostage), they were so lovely and provided us with complimentary dessert of rice pudding and baklava. It was all so good. Thank you for the perfect meal to end a fun family day. You had us at Shawarma! TL;DR: the food was so fresh, delicious and flavorful, the restaurant and bathrooms are comfortable and tidy and the service is welcoming and helpful! Note to Owner: D*Vine, please come down to Carlsbad! We're lacking flavor down here and NEED you!

D'Vine Mediterranean is one of those sleeper Long Beach spots that deserves more attention. We came in Thursday at 630p and had an excellent meal from start to finish. The falafel was brought out complimentary, which was such a nice touch, and it was fresh, crisp, and flavorful. We also shared the fried cauliflower. I had the lamb kabob plate with rice, pita, beets, and mutabal and he had the chicken shawarma plate with beets, hummus and rice-- everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. Service was a major highlight. Our server took great care of us throughout the meal and made the whole experience feel genuinely welcoming rather than transactional. To top it off, they also surprised us with a complimentary dessert, including baklava and a creamy rice pudding with pistachio, which was another very generous touch. D'Vine may not get as much attention as places like Ammatoli or Open Sesame, but it absolutely should be in that conversation. If you're looking for Mediterranean food in Long Beach, especially somewhere a little more under-the-radar with excellent service, don't overlook this place. We'll definitely be back.

Visiting my family here today--they ordered takeout from D'vine--and let me say they are aptly named because every bite was divine! I especially appreciated the garlic sauce to add to every bite of chicken kebab, the tabbouleh and the falafel with two sauces: tahini and a spicy sweet red sauce. The falafel was crispy even after the delay of eating takeout. All the meats :chicken kebab, chicken shawarma, lamb chops, and salmon were tender and cooked perfectly. The order was placed the night before and was ready on time as requested. Apparently when you order IN, the plating of the food is beautiful according to my brother. All I know is, I'll definitely order food from them again, because it was excellent!

I've been coming here forever, and they honestly never miss. In the past few years they've completely redone their interior - definitely ramping it up in terms of decor and ambiance. It's a great little spot with about 8 tables for you to enjoy your meal in or take it home to go The food is always consistently yummy and good portions for what you're paying. The steak, rice and pita are my top choices when I go in. Don't hesitate to ask for some baklava for dessert too, perfect crisp to sweet ratio. The staff is friendly and welcoming, happy to explain anything on the menu to you if you have questions. Great place!

I purchased a Clipper voucher via Groupon a while back and although it doesn't expire until August 7th I decided to use it. Tucked away in the Los Altos shopping center, this lil gem can be hard to find if you blink an eye (I am very familiar with the area but have never come across it). We were promptly greeted by our server whom told us to take a seat anywhere. We must have lucked out as there was only one other table occupied but it could be the fact that it was a Monday evening so it was not crowded. As 1st timers here, we informed the server about the Clipper voucher as he was familiar with it. We started off ordering the grape leaves from the cold apps menu. The server also brought us a complimentary serving of their homemade falafel balls. The grape leaves were so soft, chilled (came on a chilled plate with lettuce as garnishment) and tasty! The falafel was also very yummy with sauce drizzled over. Next up we ordered the chicken kabob skewer (1) plate which comes with rice and two sides (we chose Med salad along with hummus). Everything comes out a la carte so our server brought us our hummus, pita, and Med salad on separate plates and then the chicken kabob skewer (minus the skewer) comes out with the rice. Everything was so flavorful and delicious! The chicken was tender and the rice was very tasty and had some different spices added to it. The hummus was to die for as it was very creamy and not how some places prepare it very "waxy" like. Our server also brought us a complimentary dessert consisting of their homemade rice pudding and baklava and both were delish! We spoke with the server and he stated that this place used to be an express in/out restaurant mainly for take out orders and since the new owners took over they made it more appealing for dining in (cute decor and ambience). Prices are not bad either, and they also serve beer and wine. Parking is pretty easy with plenty of spots and not too congested. So happy to have discovered this gem as there have been a couple of Med restaurants that have closed in our hood and the other few remaining are just mediocre or too expensive. This place is definitely worth it!

    Inside. Very nice and clean

I must start off saying this place is beautiful inside. I came here today to try the lamb and beef plate with rice, spicy hummus\pita bread and the sumac onions. Everything tasted delicous! The service was one of the best i had at any restaurant. They come to your table with water which is a nice touch. Victor who is one of the staff members here was the best and i loved his attitude and friendliness. He is a wonderful man. They have TV's a bathroom, outside seating which is nice. The meats were very favorful and easy to cut! The onions were seasoned well and the falafel plate was excellent! They have pepsi products here which is a bonus to me. I'm happy i stopped here! Yes, it's soo good i will be back again! Food rating. Lamb\beef plate 9.0\10 Falafel Plate 8.5\10

Been meaning to come here for so long and delighted that we did for a late Saturday lunch: even before we ordered, we got a beautiful single falafel, quartered, with delightful sauces. I love the way everything is plated: all the mini separateness of foods is delightful, and at the base of every plate are greens underneath the bowls...it makes everything so much more shareable, too. I ordered the salmon which was out of this world, melt-in-your-mouth delightfulness. My partner got the falafel, even better than the free appetizer, because freshly fried (in oil that is clearly the right temperature and changed often enough to be unnoticeable and light), so crunchy on the outside and fluffy inside: yum! Paid the extra (and well-spent) $2 to upgrade one side to the spicy garlic potatoes: perfection of crisp and fluff, rhyming with the falafel. Light fluffy garlic sauce. Great mutabal, cabbage salad, and tabouli; all fresh and alive. Pro-tip: we parked on the little parking lot in the other side of Trader Joes for ease of in and out. Light cool space: the cucumber mint mocktail is perfect for a hot day. Staff are amazing and hustling (just a cook and a waiter who also plates and preps!!) We now have a new go-to mediterranean near our house for takeout, too: can't wait to be lazy and get the family meal.

Delicious beet salad, Mediterranean salad, and the most incredible cucumber salad, and pillowy pita bread!

A hidden gem! Visiting Long Beach and was looking for a place for dinner. Came across D'vine Express on Yelp, and given the reviews decided to give it a try. Above and Beyond expectations!! Our servers David and Alison were warm and welcoming. We started off with complimentary falafel. I am not a falafel fan, but it was so tasty! Next up cucumber salad and pita bread that was light and pillowy and delicious! I chose beet salad and the Mediterranean salad as my sides and they were equally delicious. They weren't covered in heavy dressing or oil so you could actually taste the flavors of the vegetables. The garlic sauce that accompanied was the bomb! I chose the chicken kebab for my main entree and it was tender and flavorful. We enjoyed our meal so much, we decided to go back the next day!

The food and service is wonderful... Love the sides and the salmon... this time we came, our server gave us two appetizers for free! A delicious Falafel cut into bite size pieces for all of us to try and the fried cauliflower... both excellant dishes... our food was plentiful, and our server came by and placed more pita bread to eat with our meal... everything was fresh and made to order... all you heard from our table was ummmmmmm... soooooo gooood.... mmmmmmmm.... and a lot of noshing... and just when you are done... our server brings out two desserts! Crazy huh? A ice cold rice pudding that was amazing! Cold, creamy with just the right amount of sweetness and cinnamon spice... and baklava for each of us! Really??? He didn't have to, in fact, I felt guilty that he went this far to treat us with free and scrumptious goodies... and the Baklava was divine! You better believe he got a good tip from me... my tip for you... check this place out... crazy that there are more than one location spread out... I can only vouch for this one though... 10/10 for me and my wife! And this is coming from someone who doesn't even like cooked salmon or Mediterranean food... oh, they have Dubai Chocolate dessert as well... next time I'm going to add that to the other two desserts, compt or not.

Third time here. Good little Mediterranean place for lunch or dinner. Their wraps are generous with the meat and size! I need to come more often since it is by my office or pick up on the way home.

Love this place! First time trying and I was very impressed. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate with Mediterranean salad and beet salad. The portion was huge. It was 2 meals for me. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. The owner also gave me some baklava to try and they were perfect.

    Burnt Falafel
    Vicki G.

We ordered the Falafel entree...first we noticed the pita was missing, the rice has chicken broth in it, nowhere was this listed. The fatayer was only cooked on one side, is that how its done now? And the falafel was soo burnt, like bitter burnt crunchy grossness...seriously!!! Too many fails Im totally confused about the hype for here

I hosted my daughter's graduation party at Dvine Restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was amazing, and the service was outstanding. All of my guests had great things to say about the restaurant, especially about the quality and taste of the food. I was extremely satisfied with my decision to choose Dvine for this special occasion, and most importantly, my daughter was very happy. I highly recommend Dvine Restaurant for anyone looking to host a memorable event.

Fun menu presentation and shared personal favs as well as general customer favs, highlighted lunch specials, and things you could substitute if need be. As well as the ambiance he created with a nice selection of music - a food delivery person came in dancing from the music! it was so cute The food was delicious as well. Meat is well seasoned and not over cooked, rice was supple, and hummus was a texture i really enjoyed (I don't favor hummus that feels on the thin side). That first experience is what made me come back. On my second visit, I ordered the same salad with chicken and lamb because I wanted that same experience again. When I got back to work, I realized the chicken was missing. I did not complain because I still had the lamb and the rest of the salad, and I understand that mistakes happen. Still, it was disappointing because I specifically came back wanting the same complete meal I had the first time. On my third visit, I drove from Gardena to Signal Hill specifically for that salad. After driving back to Gardena, I realized there was no dressing in the bag. I called the restaurant and explained what happened. I was told, "I'm sorry." At first I accepted that, but then I thought, what am I supposed to do with a salad with no dressing? I called back because I wanted to know what could be done. I was told that if I wanted my money back, I would have to bring the salad back to the restaurant. That meant after already driving from Gardena to Signal Hill and back, I was expected to make another trip because of something the restaurant forgot. When I explained that I was disappointed with how the situation was being handled and that I planned to leave a review, the woman on the phone responded, "All this for a dressing?" That comment bothered me more than the original mistake. Yes, it was dressing, but that misses the point. This was already the second time something had been left out of my order. The first time, I let it go. This time, the missing item affected the whole meal. What I would have appreciated was simple customer service. Acknowledge the inconvenience and make an effort to keep the customer. Something as simple as, "We apologize. Unfortunately, we cannot refund you without the food being returned, but on your next visit we will make sure we take care of you," would have completely changed the experience. Even offering a drink next time or simply saying they appreciated my business would have shown that they cared. I also tipped on my takeout order because I believe a tip is a way of showing appreciation for good service and attention to detail. I understand that a tip does not guarantee perfection, but it was disappointing to tip and still receive an incomplete order. There was also something I observed during this visit that concerned me. Someone spilled a drink, and one of the cooks helped clean it up. He wiped the floor while wearing gloves and, from what I could see, appeared to keep the same gloves on when returning to food preparation. That made me uncomfortable. I would have expected the gloves to be changed before handling food again. To be fair, the restaurant itself looks clean, organized, and well maintained. The tables, chairs, counters, and furniture appear to be in good condition. That is one of the reasons I kept giving this place another chance. I wanted to like Pita Pitaki. After my first visit, I thought it might become one of my go to places. Unfortunately, I never really got that same full experience again. My first visit was good. My second visit was missing the chicken. My third visit was missing the dressing, followed by customer service that made me feel like my concern did not matter. You can have good food and a clean restaurant, but customer service still matters. Sometimes how a business handles a mistake matters more than the mistake itself. My advice for anyone ordering takeout here is simple. Double check your order before you leave. Open the bag and make sure you have everything, especially meats, sauces, and dressing. Unfortunately, after giving this place several chances, it is no longer one of my go to spots.
