Their team was also kind enough to offer a few sides of garlic sauce - so good! Love their quick and easy parking lot. The whole restaurant is so easily accessible, it's an great option for a nice/healthy dinner on a busy day. I'll most definitely be returning to explore their lunchtime menu offerings. Very disappointed in this exceptionally mediocre and overpriced restaurant. $11 for a Greek salad -- but I added some beef Shawarma -- she didn't mention that it was another $10 for that. So $21 and I didn't even get a piece of pita bread for that. Pfffft. Shawarma was pretty bad. The meat was dry. Salad dressing not very tasty. Most of this overpriced salad got tossed. I ordered a fountain drink but the concentrate was out and it was taking a long time to fix it, so I had to ask for my money back because all I got was bad tasting water out of the machine. The young woman at the counter had to call her boss to get permission to refund it. The whole vibe of the place was off, and the server was totally unengaged. I have eaten here before. It was good, it's down the street from my home. We ordered this evening the sandwiches were wrapped in tortillas not pita and no pickles. I also want to add that I am extremely allergic to beef and lamb. They labeled our sandwiches wrong. C on the lamb and L on the chicken. I bit in to the sandwich labeled chicken. We had an extremely friendly and helpful employee during our visit which made the experience even better. They have lunch specials for dine-in from 11AM-3PM on weekdays for $10.99 + tax, which is salad, rice, or 1/2 rice + 1/2 salad paired with one meat skewer (chicken, beef steak, or ground beef, or can pay $2 more for salmon or lamb). In addition to a salmon lunch special, we also ordered a standard plate, which comes with hummus and pita plus two meat choices (I opted for grilled chicken and ground beef skewers). I was surprised at how juicy and flavorful the chicken was, and the ground beef was well seasoned too. The salad had a nice tart and spicy vinaigrette, and the pita was piping hot. I love when food is served super hot! We also got a small side of baba ghanoush plus tahini, tzatziki, garlic, and hot sauces. It is very friendly and clean and they have many customers when I have been there which means it's a good place. So we gave it a try to test that, since chicken can often be dry. We ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and a combo plate with beef and chicken shawarma. Wanted a skewer but the shawarma would take less time to prepare. Order took about 15-17 minutes prep time. There was a good amount of meat on the plate, a little bit of salad, and the hummus and rice - which were so delicious! The wrap was soft and tasty. The chicken on each was indeed juicy and tender! The beef however was actually dry. Their garlic dip/sauce was very garlicky and decadent, the tahini sauce was okay too. We ate all of it and were very full! They have a restroom and lots of seating. The other night, we decided to enjoy some takeout from Alibaba Mediterranean to celebrate my birthday -- it's always a fun treat! We'd ordered the salmon plate, a mixed kebab plate, and a side of baba ghanoush. Overall, it was a lovely meal, though a little overcooked -- the salmon, beef, and chicken were slightly on the well-done side, and the pita had a bit of a crunchy edge instead of being soft and tender. But I have to say, their hummus and baba ghanoush were just as wonderful as ever! After returning home with our packaged up order, we discovered that the garlic dip we chose wasn't included in the bag. Everyone has an off night now and then, and I imagine the chefs were having one because their dishes are usually very good. Despite the slight overcooking, all the main courses still tasted great and were full of flavor. One night's experience isn't going to change how much I/we love this place -- I really do! I placed an order through GrubHub, from the Yelp app--I've been a loyal customer of Alibaba's for about 4 years, even though the food quality has gone down--I inadvertently placed an order for 2 Tawouk plates (see photo below, it's my usual order) at 4:04 p.m. And at 4:05 I called GrubHub to correct the error; they told me the restaurant was unable to correct it because the food had been prepared--my whole order completed in 1 minute! Riiight. As a loyal customer I can say, with 100% certainty, the food quality and consistency at Alibaba has been on a downward trend for a long time, loyal customers know it's true. The beef kabobs (filet mignon, according to them) use to have 5 pieces (I stopped ordering the plate), there are only 4 pieces now, which are much smaller than before; the chicken feels mushy and under seasoned; the rice tastes undercooked and old; and there use to be 4 pieces of pita bread, now there are only 2 pieces in my order; also, they have stopped adding dressings (e.g, garlic sauce, etc.) to the orders I have had delivered in the past; And there are many more faults I can write, but this post is going to be long enough. With all that being said--their lack of food quality, customer service and consistency, I kept buying food from them, but yesterday's (July 7th) lies, "we can't correct the order," were "the last straw"--I will never buy food from them again, they lost a loyal customer that bought food from them 3-4 times a month, always the same order; all because of not wanting to correct a simple error--it's the principle of the matter that is most important to me; they lied to me! Hey, Alibaba I don't need to order food from you, NO ONE DOES! You stay in business because of customer loyalty and you're losing them! I got the half rice half salad with Kofta for my lunch special. $9.99 plus tax and a $.35 credit card service charge. Plenty of food for me at least I could barely finish it. The kofta was delicious and the rice was too. The salad dressed in some slightly tangy bitter I'm guessing authentic style for Mediterranean, not my favorite but very tasty when combined with the rice and meat.
