Everything was going normally until I got to the sauce options at the end. The employee asked if I wanted barbecue sauce or hot sauce. I didn't hear her clearly at first and said "mild," and she responded in an irritated tone that it was either barbecue sauce or hot sauce. I told her I had never seen the barbecue sauce before and asked what it looked like. She repeatedly just said "it looks like barbecue sauce" instead of simply showing it to me or explaining it. I even asked if she could show me the sauce, and she still responded dismissively and seemed annoyed that I was asking basic questions before deciding what I wanted on my food. What made the interaction worse was that there wasn't even a line or rush happening at the time. I wasn't trying to hold anything up -- I just wanted to know what I was ordering. The receipt listed the employee name as "Estuardo," although the employee helping me was a woman, so the register name may not match the actual employee. I'm leaving this review as constructive feedback because a little patience and friendliness goes a long way with customers.

Underneath the puffed puri bites were shot glasses filled with mango and coconut, mint and cilantro, and yogurt and ginger dressing dressing. You pour the dressing into the bite and then shove it in your mouth and enjoy! -I've had something similar before at a different Indian restaurant, but I enjoyed it here much more. Dressings weren't overpoweringly sour like I've had at other places. Very refreshing dressings that went great with the protein/carb fillings. Love the crunch of the puff puri. My favorite was the mango coconut. I love the fruity sweetness with the savory. 3) Cali Chilli Pot Pie: -You get to choose your protein and we chose the lamb rogan josh as we got chicken for our other dish. -Comes out SUPER hot. Even towards the end of our meal, the dish was still steaming hot, but it's super unique and delicious. -The pie crust is mostly just the top of the dish and the rest is curry stew and protein below. Super tender lamb meat and flavorful curry. Nice kick, savory depth of flavor and spices. The pie bread part was moist, tender, top was flaky and delicious. A must. 4) Hariyali Chicken Boti Kebab: -This is part of their limited run Long Beach Food Scene Week menu. -It's a Tandoor (clay oven) combo meal made in an authentic tandoor, making the chicken smoky and slightly charred on the outside, and moist, juicy, and tender on the inside. -This dish comes with a choice of carb and salad, so we got the saffron ghee rice with the Cali Chilli Curry Sauce and the Citrus salad. -Delicious mint and yogurt taste to the chicken, both refreshingly sour and creamy, but herbal as well. What an amazing experience at Baba's Cuisine! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine kindness and hospitality. We were helped by the wonderful Manuel, who took the time to explain the menu, answer our questions, and give his personal recommendations. You can tell he truly cares about his customers and takes pride in what he does. Our food was served by his awesome 12-year-old son, Rafael, who was incredibly polite, attentive, and professional. The family atmosphere here is something special. The restaurant was spotless, the service was exceptional, and the food was absolutely delicious. The hummus was so good that I finished it in no time. Rafael noticed and kindly brought out more, saying, "Since you liked it, we want to treat you to some more." That simple gesture spoke volumes about the kind of people they are and how much they care about their guests. Every detail reflected love, attention, and genuine hospitality. It's rare to find a family business where you can truly feel the warmth and care behind everything they do. Highly recommended. You can tell he'a the type of person that if he'a going to do something - it's done well. I hope if he ever comes across this, that he knows I truly enjoyed the energy and care he has. Meat is well seasoned and not over cooked, rice was supple, and hummus was a texture i really enjoyed (I don't favor hummus that feels on the thin side). That first experience is what made me come back. On my second visit, I ordered the same salad with chicken and lamb because I wanted that same experience again. When I got back to work, I realized the chicken was missing. I did not complain because I still had the lamb and the rest of the salad, and I understand that mistakes happen. Still, it was disappointing because I specifically came back wanting the same complete meal I had the first time. On my third visit, I drove from Gardena to Signal Hill specifically for that salad. After driving back to Gardena, I realized there was no dressing in the bag. I called the restaurant and explained what happened. I was told, "I'm sorry." At first I accepted that, but then I thought, what am I supposed to do with a salad with no dressing? I called back because I wanted to know what could be done. I was told that if I wanted my money back, I would have to bring the salad back to the restaurant. That meant after already driving from Gardena to Signal Hill and back, I was expected to make another trip because of something the restaurant forgot. When I explained that I was disappointed with how the situation was being handled and that I planned to leave a review, the woman on the phone responded, "All this for a dressing?" That comment bothered me more than the original mistake. Yes, it was dressing, but that misses the point. This was already the second time something had been left out of my order. The first time, I let it go. This time, the missing item affected the whole meal. What I would have appreciated was simple customer service. Acknowledge the inconvenience and make an effort to keep the customer. Something as simple as, "We apologize. Unfortunately, we cannot refund you without the food being returned, but on your next visit we will make sure we take care of you," would have completely changed the experience. Even offering a drink next time or simply saying they appreciated my business would have shown that they cared. I also tipped on my takeout order because I believe a tip is a way of showing appreciation for good service and attention to detail. I understand that a tip does not guarantee perfection, but it was disappointing to tip and still receive an incomplete order. There was also something I observed during this visit that concerned me. Someone spilled a drink, and one of the cooks helped clean it up. He wiped the floor while wearing gloves and, from what I could see, appeared to keep the same gloves on when returning to food preparation. That made me uncomfortable. I would have expected the gloves to be changed before handling food again. To be fair, the restaurant itself looks clean, organized, and well maintained. The tables, chairs, counters, and furniture appear to be in good condition. That is one of the reasons I kept giving this place another chance. I wanted to like Pita Pitaki. After my first visit, I thought it might become one of my go to places. Unfortunately, I never really got that same full experience again. My first visit was good. My second visit was missing the chicken. My third visit was missing the dressing, followed by customer service that made me feel like my concern did not matter. You can have good food and a clean restaurant, but customer service still matters. Sometimes how a business handles a mistake matters more than the mistake itself. My advice for anyone ordering takeout here is simple. Double check your order before you leave. Open the bag and make sure you have everything, especially meats, sauces, and dressing. Unfortunately, after giving this place several chances, it is no longer one of my go to spots.

Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without making us feel rushed. That always makes such a difference when you're trying a new spot. The food was full of flavor, the portions were nice, and overall the whole experience felt warm and inviting. Definitely a great Long Beach find, especially if you're looking for good Turkish food and a place where you can order a bunch of things for the table and just enjoy. It was light, fluffy, buttery, and perfectly cooked--not sticky at all. Paired with the fresh salad, it balanced the meal perfectly. For drinks, the sorbet drink was so refreshing, and the pomegranate tea was outstanding with bright, fruity notes that made it the perfect way to end the meal. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful. Sitting outside on the sidewalk felt cozy and romantic, and the decor inside genuinely made me feel like I was back in Turkey. The restaurant is spotless (including the restrooms), and the customer service was warm, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. Some restaurants make theirs extremely thick or overly sweet, but this one was smoother, refreshing, and tasted like it was made with fresh, ripe mangoes. Overall, everything was really good, the portions were satisfying, and the meat was tender and well prepared. We would absolutely come back!
