Horrible lady, whether she was working or the owner who accused us of something we did not do. We simply ordered cheese curds to go and ate them outside with our trunk tail gate open and up because our pup was with us and it was way to hot to leave her so we parked in the shade near the dumpster as we ate the fried curds , out of no where comes this lady with a pumpkin pie hair cut taking a picture of my license plate and accusing me of dumping things in their garbage dumpster and my dog going to the bathroom on the property which she didn't. I had to get my dog out of the car to take a break after we have been traveling for a while. Mind you, we just spent money at this place to try out their fried curds. She accused me of my dog taking a sh*t on her property. Take a look at your so called cameras that you said were running. Look at your video. If you read this as a business, I will never give you any chance in thought to come back. You are a lost thought that will never ever give my time or money to you.... You ruined are vacation traveling through Wisconsin. I will tell everyone traveling to Wisconsin the same advice. No luck to you, as everyone smart will avoid you and your business going forward, Trash.... You should be ashamed of yourself and I will post this on google as well as other platforms. My family and I have been going to Dykesville bowl since I was in middle school (I am 40 now, so a long time!). Since the new owners have taken over, service has been terrible (beyond acceptable). Tonight, for example, after we bowled, my husband went to the bar to give our dinner order. The gentleman at the bar said his shift was over so he wouldn't take our order. After slow service to even get to bowling, our patience was wearing thin. So we sit at a table waiting for a waiter; a woman delivered food to a table, stood there talking for over 10 min, and then sat at the bar. Meanwhile, no one has taken our order. We decided to leave. Also, we could have easily left without even paying for bowling but since we're good people, we paid. I don't know how you all plan on staying in business when you don't know who has paid for what and the service is so awful. Very disappointing. read more

The best cheese curds ever! Very nice people and a must stop. Was talking talking with our server about stopping there every year with my kids on a summer day trip. Told him we always get ice cream after. while at our ice cream stop, I realized I forgot my phone at Dykesville bowl. 4.25/5 Pretty good bar out in Dyckesville. Got some cheese curds and a double UV Blue & seltzer. All in all, $13.39 + tip. Nice person at the bar, quiet enough, not busy. Cheese curds were okay and a bit expensive for what they were. Definitely the best (and, really, as it stands currently, only) bar in Dyckesville. I'd definetely recommend giving it a shot. read more

The good news--cheese curds and chili were great--that is why I gave them 2 stars instead of none. Walked in at 6:15 and walked out at 7:33. Waited for food a long time only to get a raw hamburger and cold cheese on top. French fries were something like cardboard. Ordered a chicken sandwich--received a piece of chicken in an empty bun and when I asked for mayonnaise and lettuce, the cook eventually slapped the condiments in front of me like she was doing me a huge favor. After we were finished, we waited and waited for the bill. I was a dyckesville bowl fan, but no more. Very sad. read more

Three words.... Fried Cheese Curds! This bowling alley should be a destination for all fried cheese lovers. Seriously..... Not sure what they do differently, but the breading is amazing. The cheese itself is savory and salty and would be spectacular all on there own. Pretty good hamburgers too. This is a great place to stop on the way to or from Door County. The food here is always hot and fresh. Delicious burgers, fries, chicken strips, cheese curds and more! Unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired. I came here with a group of 6, the server (wearing a Travis Kelce Jersey) walked up and literally mumbled "Drinks?". No "Welcome!", no "how are you?", no "my name is", no "have you ever been here before?" Etc. Another lady brought food to the table. Nobody asked us how we liked our food, if we needed anything else, if we would like refills on our drinks. Just waited and brought the check. Probably won't be back. read more

Since the Rona pandemic, there hasn't been any bowling here and there's a sign on the door that says they are not open for bowling or dine in - so my review is the carry out food. This place came very highly recommended by some friends and while we were camping in the Algoma area my wife saw a sign for Dyckesville which triggered said memory of the recommendation. While it was 92 outside and I had our entire family in my extended cab 3/4 ton Silverado I wasn't keen on a carry out situation but screw it... I'm a whore for "dive bar" food and were on vacation. Super SUPER glad we did it. We ordered two bacon cheeseburgers, a tenderloin sandwich and a mushroom and Swiss burger. We also ordered some cheese curds and some root beer to wash it all down. We phoned our order in and I arrived a minute early and much to my surprise our food was just being put in the go bags. To me, this is amazing (hey, bar group!!! Are you paying attention?!?) Yep, my wife, kids and I enjoyed our food orgasms in my running Silverado, parked on the side of the road debating on weather or not we needed to order more. We ate at 1:30 and none of us were hungry again until about 8:30-9 that night. We will stop for lunch next time we head up to door county. It's worth the drive even if you aren't going to DC but I dare you to not eat it in the car. read more

Called Friday to ask if they would have bowling Saturday. Were told they would have open bowling all day Saturday, and it isn't usually busy Saturday afternoons so we shouldn't need a reservation. Got there Saturday and it was busy so we asked if there was a wait list for bowling. The bartender told us they didn't have open bowling all day due to a tournament. This was my first trip to the Midwest and the Green Bay area. All I heard before I left was "you have to get cheese curd!" As I only had a few days so I had to be choosy. A local at Pasquale's in De Pere (see my review) told us that the Dyckesville Bowl had award winning deep friend cheese curd. They weren't lying!!! It is a bit of a drive from downtown Green Bay proper but it is worth the drive! It is nestled in beautiful Door County and the drive in Fall, or anytime of year I'd imagine makes for a scenic drive. Chuck's Bowl is a 6 lane alley with a bar, some tables and the most incredibly friendly people! The best example of "Midwest Nice." We had the deep fried cheese curd...unbelievable!!! The batter is the kicker...light but crunchy. Some secret recipe that keeps these curd award winning. According to the cook, the curd is brought in fresh every other day. After the curd we had the deep fried seafood basket, (scallops, shrimp and fish) also excellent for what you'd have in a bowling alley/bar/restaurant. For local beer I had Leinenkugel Summer Weiss on tap. Excellent beer and goes well with the bowling alley cuisine!! I was full, my son was full but the cook brought over chili for a customer next to us. I couldn't help but stare and chili in the Midwest is very different from Texas chili you get on our side of the Mississippi. The cook looked at me and said "you wont' get chili like this in California." How could we refuse! We got a cup and split it. Out of this world!!! Midwest chili is sweeter and more brothy than traditional Texas chili. Less heat and usually comes with some type of macaroni in it but just as flavorful as it's Southwest cousin. I know what you're thinking, a blowing alley for food?? Yes. And it's awesome. It's nothing fancy, but the food always tastes great! They do the standard bar food- burgers, pizzas, chicken tenders. They also have tacos and some sandwiches. The one thing I know I'm going to order when I go are the cheese curds. They are the real deal and honestly might be my favorite ones yet. They hand batter fresh cheese curds, none of that pre-breaded frozen nonsense, and that makes all the difference. Everything is made to order, even the pizzas, but it all comes out in a timely fashion. The price point is pretty good, around $10-$15 per person with drinks. It's not super close but when I'm in need of a cheese curd fix I can always count Dykesvilles Bowl! read more

Seriously people, Chuck wipes up some of the best curds around: pipping hot baskets of soft, gooey goodness, perfectly battered. Nom nom nom! Don't forget to try the root beer! I believe it's homemade, if I recall correctly. Aside from the aforementioned bar fare, Chuck has a small, but decent menu of traditional bites, all reasonably priced. This place is always hopping, so you know it's a town favorite. Each time I make the trip back home to Wisconsin, we've got to make the trek up here for a basket of cheese curds and root beer. Best Cheese curds I've ever had. I've had a few cheese curds at food fairs that compare- but nothing has ever come close to topping the white cheese curds at Chuck's Dyckesville Bowl. They smell like fresh donuts and aren't battered in any way. Just fresh cheese curds that are thrown in the deep fryer and served up to you at the bar. They aren't healthy by a long shot, but they will ruin you for other cheese curds. read more

Went to the dyckesville bowl on a chilly day. You wouldn't expect them to have killer food, but the have the best cheese curds in all of Northeast Wis. The coating on it is crispier than most curds. I also had a burger which was delicious. A fun place to go if your in dyckesville. read more

On my 2nd trip to Chuck's, I ordered the same thing: chili & cheese curds. The curds are really just the best. The breading is so light, and many of the curds are large pieces. At so many other restaurants, the curds are over-breaded and don't have much taste IMO. The chili is delightful. My husband also had the hot beef sandwich which is shredded beef on a bun with toppings per your request; he really liked it. This is a no-nonsense place with great prices. Food is good sometimes. Some times inconsistant. I actually had good luck and miss eating there. My mom had very bad luck. She called one time after throwing away the food she had purchased. The owner said several times "I'm not giving you your money back". She said she didn't want her money back, she was just letting them know there was a problem. The owner was very rude to my mom who anyone will tell you was a sweetheart. Owner has a reputation for being rude at times, some times very rude. Many locals will agree with this. Most others would say things like they've never been mistreated BUT have heard stories. I eat in the area very often and have not gone back and will not, ever as long as Chuck owns it. read more

I went to Dyckesville Bowl several years ago and had a wonderful experience with truly fantastic pizza. On a recent visit we were very disappointed as the pizza is now different (possibly frozen??). The bathrooms were disgusting. This is the first time I have been there since the ownership changed and the place has really been let go too bad:( will never return. read more
