    UV Blue & Seltzer - $6 + tax

4.25/5 Pretty good bar out in Dyckesville. Got some cheese curds and a double UV Blue & seltzer. All in all, $13.39 + tip. Nice person at the bar, quiet enough, not busy. Cheese curds were okay and a bit expensive for what they were. Definitely the best (and, really, as it stands currently, only) bar in Dyckesville. I'd definetely recommend giving it a shot.

I can confirm that the rumors are true... these are the best cheese curds you're gonna find almost anywhere. If you're in Green Bay, I'd suggest you make the 20min drive.

Best cheese curds in Wisconsin! Very good burgers as well. Although Chuck's Bowl is being sold, the new owners plan to keep much of the establishment the same and re-open the bowling alley. Looking forward to future service here!

Three words.... Fried Cheese Curds! This bowling alley should be a destination for all fried cheese lovers. Seriously..... Not sure what they do differently, but the breading is amazing. The cheese itself is savory and salty and would be spectacular all on there own. Pretty good hamburgers too. Unfortunately, Covid has made thing "take out only" at this time but still tastes as good to go!

Ate here on our way back to Green Bay from door county because we heard the fried cheese curds were amazing and they did not disappoint. Ordered the brat/burger sandwich and that was wonderful. The whole staff was amazing. I would totally recommend this place.

Since the Rona pandemic, there hasn't been any bowling here and there's a sign on the door that says they are not open for bowling or dine in - so my review is the carry out food. This place came very highly recommended by some friends and while we were camping in the Algoma area my wife saw a sign for Dyckesville which triggered said memory of the recommendation. While it was 92 outside and I had our entire family in my extended cab 3/4 ton Silverado I wasn't keen on a carry out situation but screw it... I'm a whore for "dive bar" food and were on vacation. Super SUPER glad we did it. We ordered two bacon cheeseburgers, a tenderloin sandwich and a mushroom and Swiss burger. We also ordered some cheese curds and some root beer to wash it all down. We phoned our order in and I arrived a minute early and much to my surprise our food was just being put in the go bags. To me, this is amazing (hey, bar group!!! Are you paying attention?!?) Yep, my wife, kids and I enjoyed our food orgasms in my running Silverado, parked on the side of the road debating on weather or not we needed to order more. We ate at 1:30 and none of us were hungry again until about 8:30-9 that night. We will stop for lunch next time we head up to door county. It's worth the drive even if you aren't going to DC but I dare you to not eat it in the car.

Award Winning Cheese curd for sure!!!

I am a guest next door at the hotel and this is our first most likely last visit to Door county…read more Although if we were to come back we would definitely come back here. The hotel and the restaurant have been thoughtfully redesigned and renovated. I understand it was completed about two years ago. You can tell a lot of time and money went into updated 17 rooms and a restaurant so I can appreciate the dedication as small business owners. I also think it was very smart to make it dog friendly as I know from owning air bnb you will book twice as fast as if you don't. Any dogs we have encountered were well behaved and better than most kids these days. We went to the restaurant last night but had to sit inside because of the Canadian wildfires which I must say diminished the ability to enjoy the area and I'm sure they ended up with a lot of cancellations because the hotel was only about 1/2 full but the restaurant was doing a decent business. The restaurant was good. A few things a miss but overall I would return and may do so tonight if the smoke lifts to be able to enjoy the outdoors in JULY! My only criticism is if I ask for bread like a bread basket don't tell me you have one when you don't but still appreciate the effort. The bartender was very sweet and I would say the Alfredo was better than the bolognese because I got a pappardelle noodle when it said tagliatelle and the sauce was not a true bolognese and had a lot of big chunks of Italian sausage. Yes it was the chef's spin on it but was pretty tasty and I could tell homemade. The Wente Pinot could be improved upon but the brownie was outstanding. Chefs kiss. Give them a try and I think you will enjoy. Yes it's not in egg harbor but for us worked well because we're leaving for Milwaukee to see friends so being on the south side worked for us. The town itself isn't much and honestly if it wasn't for this hotel there wouldn't be anything for about 15 minutes in any direction for other food options. Kudos to the owners for turning around an old run down place and giving it new life! Your beds are comfy your lakefront is great and your efforts are clear.

Burgers were a bit greasy, but that is the point. They were delicious. Onions grilled perfectly. Petals were crispy as any generic onion petals would be. Stuffed spuds? Not stuffed hardly. Those were a disappointment. Overall, nice environment, good bar food, and not too busy. Would come again if in the area.

Hungry and on your way to Door County?…read more Just North of Green Bay and unless you're (backroad smart) you are of course traveling NORTH on either Highway 57, 42 or County Trunk S to the Door Peninsula so why not treat yourself to some great local food and warm friendly people? Look no further than Joe Rouer's or just "Joe's Bar" in Duvall, Wisconsin. It's on your way to Door County and a visit to this local institution is simple and easy from any of the routes North. On Highway 57, pick up County Road "X" and you will be traveling East not more than a mile or so to Duvall. You will be greeted promptly with a smile as you enter and if you're lucky, the charming "Melanie" or "Heather" will serve you in two shakes of a lambs tail! I recommend the Cheeseburger, Dill Pickles, and White Cheddar Cheese curds although all of their offerings are delicious creations developed over time and of particular note is their Chili. It's tasty and amazing! On draft is a curated variety of beer and there's nothing like a cold Blue Moon draft with a generous slice of fresh orange. Top this off with any of their desert creations and you will be full - but not too full! Lastly, depending on where you're from you will be pleasantly surprised that they don't gouge you when it's time to settle up. I have always found it reasonable and inexpensive for a good quality lunch or dinner. I have been coming here since 1976 and think it's a great place to break up your Door County journey with some good food and localized vibe. Thanks Joe's... see you again soon! ***It's NOT illegal to drink and drive BUT please drink responsibly!

I loved Bridge Up Brewing even before I tasted their beer. This is a little local Wisconsin brewery located on the basement-level of the building that houses Sonny's Italian Kitchen. When you walk into the lobby, instead of walking up the steps to Sonny's, take the ramp down below to Bridge Up and enjoy a beer or a flight of beers. They have a small menu of appetizers, mostly wings and fried things, but if you want a full meal, you should probably go upstairs to Sonny's. I didn't want a full meal, so I stayed at Bridge Up and ordered a flight of beers. One of them was a sour (I love sours), and the others were some of the more popular beer flavors. I picked the U-Pick, which is a flavored with Door County cherries, and was one of my favorites. The others were the higher ABV beers: Flip Flops and Bikini Tops (an imperial IPA) and Stubborn Sturgeon (a New England hazy IPA). I loved all of the beers I chose, but the cherry-flavored U-Pick was my favorite. When in Door County, always choose the cherry-flavored thing! If Bridge Up has U-Pick available when you visit, I highly suggest trying it. The people who work here are very friendly but also stay out of your way, which I appreciated. They encourage you to play something on the jukebox, so go ahead and put on your favorite songs.
