On our way home from Door County and it doesn't take long and it's noon already and you're only this far from DC. Big restaurant with lots of options. Got an excellent lunch with a beef pasty, Cincinnati chili, and a brat burger all for about $20. We had a long drive ahead of us so we passed on dessert. Well, in town for a Packer game, needed to eat and they were open. Delighted with the event though. Made me a breakfast sandwich, bagel ham cheese and egg. Didn't see it on the menu but pretty ez to put together. Owner sat with me and we talked life and the packers. As I ate a handful of townies came in and we're all greeted by the owner. He sat and had a coffee with each table. I assuming his wife was the waitress and she was on top of service with coffees. As I sit I think that places like this are thinning across American, real community pillars. Tell ya what these guys are probably volunteer firemen, help with fundraisers for the community, and if he was younger I'm sure the owner would help ya shingle your house. Good food, small town restaurant. Basically what you'd expect from a prominent restaurant in Dyckesville. I've been here twice, and Rhiannon served me both times. Overall, a very enjoyable experience, and best pizza I've ever had from a All-American diner! It's also priced cheap for the food they offer, which is always nice. read more

If you're looking for the absolute, most basic level of food quality, this is the place for you. I'd say the burger I had was frozen and the mushrooms were definitely canned. It's not for most people. Also, the menu is not extensive. Nice people, good service; it just was not for me. read more

Kind of disappointed with this place. We've been here on several occasions now and I feel like we're kind of crashing a private party. Maybe they're just fed up with tourists?? I don't know. The food here is your typical diner fare, but I gotta say it's done really well. The wife ordered an omelet...fresh veggies and plenty of cheddar cheese. Came with a side of raisin bread that appeared to be homemade served with a jar of freshly made strawberry jelly...it didn't seem entirely sanitary, but boy was it delicious. The pancakes are great, but thought the American fries were a little dry. Prices are really reasonable, BUT it was slightly annoying that our bill did not match up the menu prices. Ended up being a couple dollars more than expected. No big deal, but they should definitely update their menu prices. Service is good, but not great. They seem to appreciate the locals more than the tourists. All in all if you're headed up to door county it's not a bad spot to grab a quick bite. read more

Amazing biscuits and gravy. Wonderful jam. It was really busy when we stopped in, in spite of that our waitress made sure to check in on us repeatedly. Great home town cooking with a very pleasant, friendly atmosphere. Hopefully will get a chance to stop again when passing through. Next time we might try to get a table on the patio. read more

Been coming to this place for over three years and I've never had a rude waitress but the young girl (she didn't introduce herself) on 12/23/22, was our sever. I simply asked if I could order a bacon and cheese omelette because I wasn't interested in the ones they had. They did not have a bacon and cheese omelette posted on the menu, which is totally fine but that's what I ordered and everything changed about her attitude after that. She didn't speak, she did not look pleasant at all, her demeanor changed, never once responded after we said thank you and last, she came and threw the receipt on my table with the bill.. what an awful service from that one individual and for that, we did not tip her. I'm a business owner and I don't think my customers would appreciate that if they came to my restaurant. I must say, I do like this place but she ruined that one experience for me. I wish I knew her name but your FAMILY establishment don't need people like her working front of the house, that's damaging the business's reputation. read more

There was kind of a weird vibe from the wait staff - like I was interrupting or keeping them from going home. I had an omelette, which was very good. After three visits, we've deemed this place as 'reliable, fast, and friendly'. Menu offers a decent selection whether you're there for breakfast or lunch (haven't done dinner here yet, but my guess is the menu is similar to lunch). I had the Mexican pasty for lunch, and the stuffed hash browns on one breakfast visit and the Denver omelette on another occasion. We've had the same waitress each time, she's prompt and very nice. Casual up north diner vibe, great for a good home-cooked meal. They offer a few domestic tap beers, which we ordered during a lunch visit. A pitcher of domestic (I think bud light??) came in at a whopping $6, with two mugs filled in addition to the pitcher! Clearly that's a win. Another must... Order the Poppyseed Torte if they have it. And if they have it, order like 8 pieces. It's THAT good. Your tastebuds will thank you. Definitely worth popping in to check out. Don't be deceived by the size, location, or price - Sweet Seasons small, in a tiny part of town off the highway, and it's cheap, but it's GOOD. I stopped there for lunch on my way up the Peninsula, and I was pleasantly surprised. The place was clean, service was good and prompt, and that BLT and lemonade were the best I've had in a long time. And it was $6 after tip! Much better than fast food, and the same price. Great breakfast and homemade everything. We have passed Dyckesville for years on our way to Door County and back without stopping at Sweet Seasons, what a shame. We have found our new favorite stop. As good of breakfast as you will find anywhere in Door County and better than anything from there to Milwaukee. We have not tried lunch yet, but would bet its delicious. Bread and jam for breakfast was homemade fresh. Soup menu and pies look to be the same. Rhubarb pie! Its like my Mom's kitchen. Don't hesitate to try Sweet Seasons. read more

Stopped there with the family for lunch. All sandwiches are served with chips, can't sub for fries. And the chips are gross!! No seasoning and on the burnt and soggy side. We had the beef and bacon sandwich which stated it had fried onions on top. The beef was very dry and the onions were plain sautéed and not even browned. Also the cheese wasn't very melted. My sister had a salad that was very dull. The lettuce was soggy and boring. Overall very underwhelming. Food was not good and service was very slow even though there was only 2 other tables in the place. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! read more
