Exactly as the name describes, this place sells all kinds of nuts and candy. It's been a part of Farmer's Market for decades, but I just recently thought to buy something to feed my recent peanut brittle kick. It's a little pricey. It cost $9.99, and that's for peanut brittle. The brittle comes in a variety of other nuts. Ie. Macadamia nuts, that cost even more for an 8 oz. bag. Yes, you can purchase by the pound, but too much of a hassle for me. I just want to grab, pay, and go. They have two separate stands. One for candy and the other for nuts, popcorn, caramel apples, etc. with a small cart in between. The islands and cart are lined with prepackaged goodies all the way around, manned by an employee in the center. Even if you don't buy anything, it's fun to just look at and smell all the different candies and nuts.

This booth has been in the Original Farmers Market for YEARS! It is one of the vendors who has been a mainstay which gives the Farmers Market it's uniqueness. Magic Nut and Candy Company is your old-fashioned stand, selling candy, popcorn, candy and nuts, pre-packaged or by weight. Though it may be a bit on the pricier side, sometimes I just want snacks for the moment and not walk to buy a full package in the neighboring super markets. I mainly come here to buy for family and friends outside from out of state or country, just to give something that is distinctly LA. My current favorite is buying caramel apples! Not sure why this is my current craving but their apples here are delicious. You can also request them to cut it for you for easier consumption. Staff has been friendly, maybe not as talkative as some vendors but I always seemed to be taken care of nicely here.

Magic Nut and Candy Company in the Original Farmers Market on Fairfax occupies a sizable couple of stands and sells assorted of nuts, candies, chocolates, dried fruits and peanut butter with different nut varieties and has been at this spot for decades. The peanut butter machine in motion caught my eye as it moved and mixed gooey yummy peanut butter. Love peanut butter, almond butter, cashew butter and their macadamia butter. There were so many yummy things I would have liked to buy, but didn't because I know these are so irresistible and I would do serious damage and eat it all, I just looked and visually imagined eating it and that's it. While I fantasized about eating these yummy treats, the very nice and helpful woman behind the counter let me sample some macadamia butter and toffee. She was friendly and exhibited a warm demeanor. In fact, every time I visit this farmers market, I pass by these stands and all the women behind the counter are always friendly and helpful. When I recover completely into better health, I would consider returning here and try the homemade macadamia butter which looked rich and packed in glass jars. A few feet away were Valentines chocolates and candies prepackaged for gifting. This company has so many yummy tempting treats, you'll find something perfect for gifting or simply gift yourself.

Omg! What choices of goodies here! Pre packaged items and also by the pound available. Candy, nuts, chocolates, apples and flavored popcorn. Great for gifts or munching yourself. Staff is friendly and offered parking validation

Every time I've come here I've always have to get candy from the spot. I've always just been so impressed how they make those candies so pretty. I usually don't want to eat them just keep it in a bowl Because they're so cute. Eventually you decide to eat one and realize they have to all be eaten. . They're just really cute to bring out like if somebody's over for Tea .

Nice stand of candies, nuts and dried fruit amongst the rows of vendors at Farmer's Market. I had been looking for some strawberry sour belts and sour apple gummies and they had them here. It's a bummer there are no samples but what can you do. I got 4oz bags of each as that is the minimum you can get. Otherwise it's by the lb increments. Service was friendly and fast. They even offer to validate your parking if you parked it the Farmer's Market lot but we parked at The Grove. We even went to their other stand to buy a bag of kettle korn ($6.99), lime-chile corn nuts and a small bag of banana chips ($4.50) because I cant say no to banana chips whenever I see them at a stand like this.

This place has so much potential but I think they are happy with the way things are. They do have plenty of variety and pricing is okay, though on the higher side. There is never anyone behind the counter and you have to chase them down. They are nice when they get in there but it would be nice to ask questions or maybe even get a sample of something that you usually won't buy. Other than that, it puts a smile on my kids faces which is right by me.

The shop has been open for 103 years and is certainly impressive! We got there about 10 minutes before open and were the first ones in line. The mochi was fresh, they had a huge selection, and at a good price. They also have tons of other snacks and the staff was so nice and friendly. By the time we left, there was already about a dozen people in line behind us, so definitely recommend to get there early. Ultimately, I went with a six piece with two red bean mochi, two blueberry mochi, and two strawberry mochi. All of them were very delicious, the mochi was perfectly chewy, and a good amount of filling. We will definitely be back if we're in the area!

I love stopping in when I'm in town and it's a great place to take out of towners if they like mochi and sweet treats. I got a pack of 8 today and it came in around $17. It's fun to try different flavors! The guy behind the counter was unfortunately not the friendliest, he seemed a little impatient by us asking what the flavor of each mochi was. Not our fault for wanting to know and descriptions of each not being displayed! Anyways, the mochi is soooo soft and fresh. You have to make sure to eat them relatively soon after buying them because after several days, they start to go bad. I personally like the ones with red bean in them.

When they had penny candy machines, a big taxidermy deer head and the kindest owner. He once gave me and my sibling a big paper lunch bag full of candies! It has such a selection of candy from your childhood, and for kids, random unique gifts to keep them busy. but yesterday...all that flew out the window. I approached the sandwich counter and asked the person working (an angry woman apparently) what her favorite sandwiches are. After she took a minute to complain about how she had been making sandwiches all day and her brain is fried and she didn't really have any recommendations for me (and was seemingly annoyed at me even asking) she looked at the clock and advised that I was 2 minutes too late to order a hot sandwich. literally the 2 minutes she took to complain about her job cost me the sandwich. now, if it was my shop and a nice family came in and asked me my opinion on something and I took a minute or two to say the things that she said I would give them a sandwich and make that sandwich be the last sandwich of the day, but instead apparently my money wasn't green enough for her. She shut it down and two minutes later was out the door. she was rude, and honestly it just seemed that she didn't give an F. Today I called the store to speak with the owner and the person who answered the phone gave me the runaround. it was clear that either the workers didn't want to connect me with the owner or the owner doesn't want to hear the complaint. this place has gone downhill.
