In November of 2023 (7 months ago), I purchased a new 36-month free replacement battery from Interstate Batteries in St. Joseph, Missouri. I bought an Interstate battery because I liked the warranty, the availability of stores across the country, and I received great service from the St. Joseph store. Fast forward 7 months and I am in California, and the battery goes dead and will not take a charge. My charger would charge the battery to 55% then stop saying the battery was bad. I went to the Santa Clarita Interstate battery store and explained what had happened and what I had done. This was on a Friday morning. I fully expected them to test the battery, discover it was bad as I had, and give me my free replacement. But that is not what happened. They forced me to pay a $20 "Service and charging" fee and told me my battery would be ready some time on Monday. Now I was out $20 and lost the use of my truck for the weekend. When I had not received a call by Monday afternoon, I called them to learn the battery was bad and they would replace it for "free." I asked if I would receive my $20 back, and they so no because they had "serviced" the bad battery. Their 36-month free replacement battery needs to have an asterisk that says the battery is not really free, but will cost you $20. Because of the poor service and misrepresented warranty, I will never purchase another Interstate battery again.

They even tried to only add acid to the battery. These batteries are low quality that only last about 2 years and Interstate doesn't stand behind their warranty. I will never purchase another battery from interstate. Go to Walmart because they stand behind their warranty no questions asked. Seriously guys this was absolutely unacceptable to not warranty both batteries. I can't afford to have my work truck out of commission due to some low quality ghetto parts.

Called the number at 9am sharp on a Saturday morning and Alan answered the phone on the second ring. Although he had a limited schedule this particular Saturday, he didn't hesitate to accomodate me and quickly offered to meet me at his shop in 30 minutes. I drove over immediately. Upon meeting Alan face-to-face, I found him to be friendly, upbeat, professional and efficient. We chatted as he replaced my screen and I was on my way in under 10 minutes.
