I think that the store has always had plenty of variety for almost all my needs, and so very nice promotional sales on items, and it's become even better in that regard over time. That said, in those "early days" of my shopping experience at HFT, I was NOT nearly as impressed by the customer service in the store. I pretty much had developed the mindset back then that "I'm on my own" as far as getting information or guidance about a particular item e.g overall usage tips or comparison to other options for the item in question. The latter issue/concern/minus points that I've just outlined has changed by, well, light years in my opinion. During my recent visit(s) to the Valencia store, (the most recent was this afternoon, to purchase a replacement smoke detector), I was very, very pleased and impressed by the willingness of the service/sales employees to provide assistance, and, what's more, their take the time and effort to check the available information available about the product application/usage on-line that they may not have immediately at their fingertips. In a nutshell, HFT (at the Valencia store at least) has moved up to fully earn my 5-star rating Don C.

Today, I went into this location to purchase a corded hand drill. I actually located a couple on the return items table, which I thought looked pretty good. I contacted the employee and asked if these worked? I was told that she did not know. I then asked if I could plug it into the outlet to test it before I purchased it. The employee me that she would have to ask the manager. Apparently, after talking to the manager, I was told that I could not test it and that I could return it in five days if it didn't work. Who the hell wants to drive all the way back there in case this item did not work? The reason I was told is they were afraid of liability. I asked if the manager could plug it in and test it. I was told no. In fact, the manager never even came out to talk to me. What a screwed up way to do business. The customer service at this location absolutely was absolutely horrible as was the attitude of the employees. You can't plug this item into the wall just to tell me if it works? What a complete joke. I told the employee that I would be spending my money at a real tool store. I am done with this location. Their actions are completely shameful and higher management should absolutely do something to these employees, as they didn't give a complete shit whether to make a sale or not.

From the moment we entered, as Hispanics we felt as though we were being closely watched and followed throughout the store in a way that made us uncomfortable. We had no large bags or items with us--just a wallet--yet we were treated with a level of suspicion that did not seem warranted. At the same time, another customer (take a gander) in the store, who had a large backpack, which looked like it could fit an arsenal was able to shop freely without the same level of attention. The contrast in how we were treated was noticeable and concerning. Prior to visiting, I had already spoken with someone about purchasing a higher-priced item. However, due to the way we were treated during our visit, my husband and I decided not to move forward with the purchase. Instead, we chose to leave and spend our money elsewhere. We ended up going to a nearby business (Ss donuts) where we experienced welcoming and respectful service, which only highlighted the difference. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as no customer should feel uncomfortable or singled out while simply trying to shop.

They have stuff like pots/pans, Tupperware containers, car seats, car detailing products, electronics and much more. The products will change so there could be something new each time you visit. Fun fact, when you spend a certain dollar amount, there are products discounted even further you can choose from by the register. And the staff are all super friendly.

    I am reviewing the Lowe's at Golden Valley location regarding a water heater warranty claim that…read morehas turned into weeks of frustration, confusion, and stress. The manufacturer confirmed that my water heater was under warranty and provided both an authorization number for the replacement unit and a labor authorization amount. Despite this, I received conflicting information from Lowe's regarding what was covered and what I would be responsible for paying. Every representative seemed to tell me something different, making it nearly impossible to get a clear answer. One of the most disappointing parts of this experience was the lack of communication and follow-up. I left multiple messages for manager Rafa and was repeatedly told I would receive a call back, but my calls were not returned. As a customer, I should not have to chase down answers for weeks on a warranty claim. I spent countless hours on the phone between Lowe's, the manufacturer, and Executive Customer Service trying to understand why the manufacturer's authorization and labor allowance were not being handled consistently. Instead of receiving help, I felt like I was being sent in circles while no one took ownership of resolving the issue. The poor communication, conflicting information, and lack of follow-through caused unnecessary stress and anxiety. As a result of this experience, I decided to close my Lowe's credit card account Customers deserve transparency, accountability, and timely communication. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with this Lowe's location
