Bought an HP laptop a few years ago and have had some issues with it of late. I did my own troubleshooting and figured I had a 50 / 50 chance of fixing the problem with a new battery and charger. I've shopped with AtBatt to purchase replacement batteries for my power tools, UPS, power belts, and my laptop. They carry several manufacturers, but their telephone sales reps recommend Amstron because it's their in-house brand and they supposedly back it up with a better warranty. Although more expensive than their other brands (and a lot more expensive than similar items from eBay or Amazon), I decided to replace my laptop battery with their Amstron battery. A few months later, I started experiencing problems with my laptop. The trackpad clicked randomly and stuck at the worst times. It was extremely frustrating and made my Macbook unusable. After searching online for a solution, I read that the problem could be caused by a swollen battery putting pressure on the trackpad from inside. Yup! My new Amstron battery was a few millimeters thicker on one side and that was enough to cause problems for me. A swelling lithium ion battery is serious safety concern as well. When I emailed AtBatt customer service, the rep agreed that the battery I purchased was defective and would normally be under warranty. The problem, however, is that they discontinued that battery. So guess what? "There is nothing we can do." I requested either a replacement, repair or a refund so I could purchase a replacement elsewhere. Nothing. The first time I've needed them to backup their product has been a very disappointing experience. Two stars because my other purchases from them seem to be working. read more

Well, I've dealt with them quite a bit in the past and was pretty satisfied but they have changed their name (from Battery Town) and they no longer have a real storefront! They have a will call but its on open from 9-3 Mon-Fri! Hardy helpful to working people. I have a battery that has gone bad and called for warranty work but with those hours I cant get int there so I will go somewhere else from now on...to bad because I had been a loyal customer for many years. read more

They take two days to ship. If you are in a hurry forget them. I tried to cancel my order and was told that the battery had shipped already. Tracking showed that it had not shipped yet. They did a nice return though, at no cost to me. read more

I purchased a sealed lead acid replacement battery for a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) by mail order. The battery was bad, and would not power my essential electronics for more than a couple of minutes, even after months of charging before the first outage. The OEM battery which it replaced had lasted 6 years, and would power the same load for at least 2 hours. Original cost of the battery was $20 ($13 for the battery and $7 shipping). They were reasonably prompt in offing a replacement. The catch was, that I needed to pay shipping on both the return and the replacement at a cost of $14 ($7 each way), more than the cost of the battery itself. Actually, I"m not even sure that I could arrange shipping the defective item back to them for as little as $7. I told them that this was a rotten deal, but they have not responded with a better offer. If their replacement also fails, I'll need to spend another $14, etc. I'll find another vendor who will stand behind their product in a meaningful way, even if it costs a bit more. read more

If you have a lot of time to waste, don't mind customer service reps with a critical lack of knowledge, and enjoy knowing more about batteries with a simple 3 minute google search than this company produces for you in 1 day...order a product from AtBatt.com. However, if you rely on your computers for work, are a serious successful professional, and you loathe dealing with lazy suppliers who think nothing of the value of your time and money, then stay far away from this company. First, they do not test and check the batteries before they send them to you. According to Melissa, the customer service rep, this takes too much time for them. Wow, gosh, sorry, I guess it's too much trouble to make sure the battery is good from their questionable suppliers before they send it out. Sure...ok. I worked at Denso as a quality control engineer. We make parts that you put in your Camry, Lexus, etc. If we had this attitude and poor quality control Toyota would never be the number one selling car in the world. It became so because of quality control and multiple checks before a product is ever shipped out. atbatt has a long way to go. Second, even after testing and sending another battery to me, the second one would not charge as well. What prompted me to actually post this sad but true account is that this morning it took me less than 3 minutes to google search and find out why. The battery has a chip in it for this lenovo model that prevents poor quality aftermarket batteries from being used in it. After a day of back and forth with the company, they failed to produce this knowledge. They wanted me to update my bios in my computer, keep sending me batteries, all for nothing. Third, I ordered from them a few years ago and got 1 non working battery for an older HP laptop. They sent me a new one and it worked, but clearly their quality control is extremely poor and to me in the long run this attitude may cost them their livlihood. Anyway, the bottom line is, this company cost me time and money because of a lack of easily found knowledge about the products they sell. When I purchase a product, I expect my supplier to actually know MORE than me about the product for the purpose of providing me with a product that works. AtBatt clearly is a chop shop that focuses merely on shipping product without any form of direct quality control, and their attitude on finding the root cause of product failure is unaccetably low. read more

Great service. Brought my toy-hauler batteries over to replace. They suggested they charge them overnight and then test the next day. I was sure they were junk and was ready to buy new ones. They said nope we charged them and they test just fine. Save me $300. I will definitely be buying news ones from them when needed. read more
