Uggg, hard to find batteries. I needed one for my car alarm, after setting it off and not being able to turn it off with the control I just needed someone to open my damn key and replace the battery. My husband kept telling me to go to Wal-Mart - "it's cheaper, don't go to the battery store" - I'm so glad I have selective hearing. I'm not going to try to get someone at Wal-Mart to help me, that would be painful. I went to Battery Town, the nice guy took my key and immediately went to work replacing my battery, which meant opening the magic key (I couldn't see how to do it). Viola! a few minutes later he tell me "that will be one fifty seven" - WHAT? $157.00??? - no, $1.57. REALLY?? You deserve more than that in labor. This business gets 3-stars because it had the special battery I wanted. There was no salesperson present, so I had to call the company's sales dept. on my phone to make the purchase. I went there today for three watch batteries. The person at the counter was very friendly, typed what I was looking for into the computer, walked around the counter and got me the batteries off of a rack (so many people these days just point you in a close direction). My laptop charger had been acting up and finally burned out (the heat from the charging block had burned straight through the cord). I looked on the Internet and it would have cost me roughly around $80, so I checked on yelp and found this place. Gave them a call and I was pleased to have been met with great over-the-phone service. They asked me for my laptop model and found the appropriate charger. As soon as I walked in, there were batteries from wall to wall. I was greeted with the same great customer service and I ended up paying about 1/3 of what I was gonna pay to order a charger over the Internet. Minus this shipping! I purchased a phone battery from here and I was told from Sprint it should not cost more than 40 dollars and they gave me the address for this store. The battery was 54. I returned it later for a cord for my computer. I was first told the computer cord was just over 40 dollars, then later that day it was 80 which was the same price if I would have purchased it from the computer store (original brand). For that amount I was given a cord that was heavier than my actual computer and not the brand like I was told earlier that day. I basically have a brick attached to a thick cord I haven't seen so thick in years and it is not Toshiba. When I explained this to the young man he had no words. Later that day a few friends of mine told me I was ripped off for not knowing what I was buying and to take as a lesson learned. That I will indeed. And I see the guy below me proves my point. I went to this store in trust that these guys are battery experts. I needed a battery replacement in my Lexus key fob. The guy put the wrong size battery inside my key causing my entire key to split apart. These keys are not cheap and I'm very disappointed that they put the wrong battery just to make a sale. I had a house alarm battery that needed replacing Home Depot, Walmart and Radio Shack didn't have it. Radio Shack could have ordered it along w/ Home Depot but wanted $28 for battery. They ordered it took a day or so know my pack is working great! 22.95 plus tax. If I would have sent this pack back to Quantum instruments price would have been 100.00 bucks easy. The young man "Arsenio" explained that returns for cash must be within 7 days. I agreed and expected a store credit. Without my urging he gave me a cash refund. My husband placed an order for them to build a battery they said they couldn't get anymore. They said it would be done in a week and charged him the total cost the day he placed the order. I went back after a week and a half to pick it up and the guy pulled up our order, disappeared for a bit, then came back and said he was working on it RIGHT NOW. (Wouldn't he have known what he was working on at that very moment without leaving?) he said it would be done later that day or by the next day. So they already didn't have it ready when they said they would AND they didn't bother to let us know. We didn't get a chance to go back the next day. My husband went back about 2 WEEKS LATER to pick it up. IT STILL WASN'T BUILT. So they lied when they said it would be a week. Then they lied when they said they were working on it at the very moment I went in, they lied when they said it would be done by the next day, and they still never bothered to even tell us they hadn't built the battery 2 weeks after they said they were *actively building it*. But they got paid already so what did they care? I'm sure they were hoping we'd abandon it and give them free money. We got a refund, and will never go there again. Awful experience. Awful people. Bought a battery for work and it was a bit over a year old and they wouldn't replace it under warranty. When I bought it I let them know it was for a forklift and when I went back they said it wasn't covered under warranty because it wasnt a deep cell battery. Called regarding a seven year old Dell with a dead A/C adapter. Even though they were out of stock on the OEM part they were able to quickly determine one of their in house adapters would fit the bill. I was asked a couple of questions regarding the make model and voltage of the adapter and they were quickly able to determine that the in house brand would work. We ensued with a test of my laptop on site and confirmed compatibility for my relic Dell. Sure the $35 retail for the unit isn't cheap but it's still well below the $60 quote for the OEM from Best Buy but comes with a 3 YEAR warranty. In my book that's standing behind your product and with the responsive service I'm won over. read more

I am very very upset with how I was treated today. I called and told them I was on my way to pick up a motorcycle battery and they said ok. I told them I would be there in 20 min and i was right on time. As i arrived they were all standing around in the store and acted like they didn't just talk to me a few mintues ago on the phone. They all said we are closed and we can't help you. They gave her a card and said come back on monday to speak with the owner. I drove all the way over to this store and they told me to come and they would be there. I am just so upset with how i was treated i don't know what to say. I will never use them again ever. I placed an order for a battery that it said was In-Stock on the website, for in-store pickup, and after hearing nothing for 2 weeks, I called and left a message (that wasn't returned), and 2 days later called again, and they said the battery wasn't actually in stock, and hadn't even been ordered yet from their supplier, and would be 3-4 weeks to come in, so they issued me a refund and pawned me off to NAPA auto parts who they said had the same battery (but didn't). Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service! You have to call over and over again before anyone picks up the phone, and they never return messages. And 2 weeks to not hear anything on an order, and then find out they haven't even done anything with it yet?? Ridiculous. Called to complain to the manager/owner, and he seemed like he didn't even care. Now I have to order online from another company and pay an extra $56 in shipping to get this battery delivered.
