They gave me a quote, and we agreed that my belongings would arrive within 4 days. However, they were 3 days late. Each day that passed, I became more concerned, and I had to pay for another hotel night, which in Toronto was around $200 + tax per night for the cheapest option. Every time I called after the agreed-upon delivery date, they gave me an excuse. First, they apologized because the truck had broken down, then they didn't call when they said they would. I became increasingly worried about my belongings. After an additional 3 days of waiting, my things finally arrived. However, before unloading everything, they charged me double the amount that was initially agreed upon. I was almost in tears from the shock. When I asked to speak to someone, the person I spoke to wasn't Jack, but a rude guy with an Indian accent, who arrogantly told me that there was an overweight charge I had to pay if I wanted to see my belongings again. When I questioned why I had to pay double the agreed amount, he told me it wasn't his problem and that he would place my things in storage, charging me daily fees until I paid. That's when I realized it was a scam, and they had my belongings on their truck, holding them hostage to defraud me. I paid, feeling terrible, and later I discovered that there is an association of certified movers, which specifically talks about these kinds of scams and illegal actions. What this company did is described as illegal by the association. Please, this happened two years ago--do not trust this company.

I was hoping the company would stand behind their service and work with us to resolve the issues, but that did not happen. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Anber Moving. They were responsive and gave us great information on how to make the move as efficient as possible. The day of the move, we got to two awesome people helping us. They were in time and they were quick to start and do the move. They also took great care of all of our items and made sure everything was wrapped up or properly dealt with prior to moving. They were quick, efficient, and nice to talk to. They also wore masks during the move. They even finished earlier than estimated, which meant we paid less than what we were quoted for. PS: A lot of their "5-star Google reviews" are suspicious: - Many of them are from accounts that only have 1 review, and those different accounts somehow posted similar content. - More importantly, ASAP Moving and Transport themselves, have accounts with fake names called "Sew Kits" on Google, speaking on their behalf. - I had interactions with ASAP Moving and Transport Inc., in specific Jason Fougere (manager) and Alexander Kostiuk (owner), both had multiple dishonest behaviours. -They always appeared to be the nicest people with their verbal politeness, and previously I was fooled by them too. Yet, after I found out they made mistakes, I also found out their true colours. - Not only ASAP Moving and Transport never admitted their mistakes, they were playing wording and blaming games, pushing responsibilities away, finding excuses, making promises but never fulfill, and even straight up lying. - Some of the stories they said were so fake - they even self-conflict! - I do not understand why ASAP Moving and Transport thought they could get away with lying after making mistakes, because lying will never help a business, it will only destroy a business. - Once their credibility is damaged, it cannot be fixed. - After all the lies, ASAP Moving and Transport still chose to self-proclaim "diligent and honest" and kept on lying, providing false and partial information to avoid responsibility. - Clearly, they have no regret for lying. - In Canada, we have no room for liars. - I highly suggest you to choose another moving company who is at least honest with their consumers. I ended up going with Kings Transfer for a few reasons (price was ok, but they always picked up the phone and asked the right questions) but was a little worried beacuse of their reviews on here. In the end, the move was near perfect. I packed myself but they did pickup transfer and delivery and everything arrived with only one small bowl broken. They were on top of everything and the movers were pilot on both ends. I would recommend.

We have had one- and two- star experiences with various moving companies in the past, so to be honest, I wasn't expecting much. But this experience was a pleasant surprise in every aspect. We were blown away by how organized the packers (Ron, Neil) were. They definitely knew what they were doing and how to best optimize the space in each box while keeping valuables intact. The guy in charge, Réal, was kickass. There is no other way to describe it, he ran the show and he was on top of everything. What I loved is that he was managing both the packing/loading and the unpacking/unloading at the final destination, so he was familiar with our belongings and how everything was organized. Kimberly in the office was a real sweetheart, and was extremely patient in dealing with us even when we didn't have many details of the move finalized (destination address, day of move, etc.) I chose Kings because they seemed to excel in customer service, and I was proven correct. They were not the cheapest quote I received (nor the most expensive) but I would gladly pay more for an impeccable move in which absolutely nothing went wrong. DMB moved me to my new appartment and overall I'm happy with them. First of all my renovations got…read moredelayed and I had to delay my move twice. The owner was hugely flexible and accommodated the modified schedule without a problem. Communication with DMC is a little bit overwhelming if you rely on the phone. May be beacuse it was around construction holidays I could not get on hold of anybody when calling and the mail response was a little bit slow. Then I discover the DMB FB page and everything changed. DMB response will be almost immediate if you use Messanger to communicate with them. On relocation date the DMB team arrived on time and starteded working hard. They came with a huge truck, which was completely unnecessary based on the details I have provided what has to be moved. May be something in the orders system went wrong, but the team thought I shall be moved to another neighbourhood rather then few blocks away. I guess on site estimate would have worked better for DMB, but this is their choice to manage business. The team worked very professionaly, they moved my glass tables without issues. The only item that suffered was a Van Gogh poster in glass frame. I was offered repair or discount for it. I chose the repair and I still haven't heard back from DMC more then a month after the event. I guess the frame is difficult to reproduce in Montreal as it was made abroad and I'm ok with that, I would have loved to have my poster back as it is good memory from a trip and visit to the museum of one of my favorite painters. Looking back at that I'm happy my real paintings survived untouched this move. Besides the little misfortune of my picture the guys were very polite and hard working. They did a great job. The prices of DMB are competitive and there is no reason not to pick them as a moving company to your new home.
