Sylvia came to our apartment a few weeks ago to see the lay of the land. She recommended going by an hourly rate rather than a flat price, because the flat price could change depending on what's encountered. She also emphasized to label boxes well like: master bedroom, kitchen, etc. so we went with hourly rate $165 per hour for three movers. There was an up-charge of $75 because they were also moving a gun safe. They arrived at 8:45am and took a quick tour of our apartment. They explained how they go about it. The movers are Luis, Josue and Juan. What a team. Luis is the leader. Amazingly, they were done in 2.75 hours. This is the furniture for a two bedroom, two bath, den, kitchen, living room , dining area and the balcony we're talking about. Plus all the accompanying boxes for each area. We had boxed up everything we could and labeled as Sylvia had requested. And gave them clear paths as best we could to the major pieces. We had a lot of boxes! We wholeheartedly recommend this company for your moving needs.

On moving day, I emailed additional instructions because I would be unavailable by phone. I provided my partner's contact information and specifically requested that all garage items be packed and moved. Daniel Rios confirmed that everything was received and that the movers would contact my partner before leaving the house. Around 11 a.m., my move-out cleaning crew informed me that a substantial amount of property was still in the house. My partner had not received the load-up call, and I had not received any updates from Evolution. After I contacted the company, I was told only a few open boxes had been left behind. When my partner arrived at the new apartment later that afternoon, the garage contents were missing and fewer items had been delivered than expected. The crew stated they had not been instructed to move anything else. When I contacted Evolution again, I was told there had been a misunderstanding. I was then offered a separate two-person crew to complete the move, but only as a new move with additional charges. When I arrived at the apartment that evening, I discovered that the dining room, kitchen boxes, and entire garage had never been moved. My friends and I ended up completing the move ourselves. It took three days and six truckloads. Afterward, I found that beds had been placed in the wrong rooms and not assembled, furniture had been left partially disassembled, room-labeled boxes had been piled in the kitchen, furniture had been scratched, and the hardware for my son's bed was missing. Justin Rodriguez later located the missing screws in the back of the truck, though some were badly bent. I emailed Daniel seeking a response and he replied with a completely ai-generated email blaming me for the misunderstanding. To Justin's credit, he came to my apartment on his day off to help move furniture into the correct rooms and assemble it. Throughout this entire process, he was the only person who consistently communicated with me and attempted to help resolve the situation. What ultimately disappointed me most was the lack of accountability. I repeatedly had to initiate communication myself, and after the move I called the owner every day for a week and left a voicemail seeking a resolution. My calls were never returned. First thing, they showed up six hours late, instead of 9 AM they showed up at 3 PM. Only two movers showed up. When they got to my house they had no boxes, no moving blankets, no tools, and apparently had no idea what was waiting for them. At some point in the evening to ladies showed up with a child to pack. They came with boxes and ran out of boxes within two hours. Finally, at 2 o'clock in the morning they decided they were going to go home, start packing, and would start first thing in the morning. I told the two movers they could sleep in the house instead of sleeping in the moving truck which is the option there boss gave them. I went home at 3 AM, came back at 8 AM, to find that they were once again out of boxes, still had no tools, and were sitting in the truck when there were still several rooms to pack and load up. Therefore, I started packing myself, loading things in my vehicle. Then around 930 they decided they were done loading anything up because the truck was full, did not intend on making another trip. Therefore leaving everything that was still not packed or loaded at the house. We then headed to my new house, they showed up 65 minutes after I got there. Unloaded everything and left it in my driveway, front lawn, and inside my garage. That is when one of the two Movers/employee decided to quit. He proceeded to sit in the moving truck and do nothing for the rest of the day, leaving the other employee alone to do everything on his own on his first day as a mover on the job. That employee by the way is to be commended, he never complained, was extremely apologetic, and worked the entire two days without fail or stopping. When at 5 o'clock in the afternoon the The owner called me she requested an additional $607 over the quoted amount which included finishing the actual move, taking down and rebuilding the work out machines and televisions. There were exchange of words in which I had to threaten to take them to small claims court before they decided to allow me to only pay $300 on top of the $600 I had already paid.
