Zero stars. I had a Reservation for Thursday 26th. They canceled because their movers had gone home. They rescheduled for the 27th and canceled because of the rain. They promised the movers to be at Mt place Saturday the 28th at 7 am. The workers called at 9 to say that the company overbooked. They showed up at 12:30 and they left and they canceled the service claiming that I had curse at them when that NEVER happened. They also said that I wasn't 'ready to move' I called several times and spoke with the owners Emma and Austin. Rude, cruel, unprofessional. An AB movers worker stole my MK purse that they loaded up in their truck. It never made it inside my apartment. I ran out of boxes started filling my bags. That was the ONLY non cloth brand bag I had. The supervisor was training a man who just got out of prison 30 years. Another man showed up when they were already about to be done and started breaking my boxes and things!! Then at my new apartment the supervisor was gone and relied on them to unload. Movers started out strong but very quickly loss steam. Pulled ALL my furniture/personal effects out the house and had it sprawled in the driveway and on the lawn. One of the movers was trying to disassemble a dining table that could be easily picked up and moved w/out disassembling. That same movers stated, "We don't usually use this truck but ours was broken so we rented this one from Penske and that's why it's taking longer." I eventually got to a point where I just said, "leave all the small stuff, I'll move it myself later." (The items were left in the driveway while we went to deliver the load and were stolen - sigh) Once we arrived at the new house, one was spotted leaning against the truck on his cellphone. Another took a 7-minute bathroom break (my son felt the need to time him, LOL). My walls on the staircase has MULTIPLE scratches from furniture. I went to lay in my bed at the end of the LONG day and the mattress/box spring hit the floor (I'm 5'1 and don't weigh that much). Turns out that the vertical support bars were not installed on the bedframe. My teenage son faced a slightly different fate with his bed. The slats from the platform frame were on backwards causing the screws to be exposed (facing outward/rather than inward) so when he walked pass his leg was cut deep. Oh and don't let me forget that we still can't find my son's wallet (that should have been put away but of course teens don't listen) that was sitting on the coffee table that we STILL can't seem to find. (Bye-bye $260 from middle school graduation money.) I went with AB Mover because of the low price ($155 p/h, 3-guys) but $880 later, I realize that you get what you pay for. UPDATED Review Second Move was just as horrible as the 1st I did not feel safe as a woman/ mother with my 4 children. I had to call for a male friend to be present and here are some insights to my experience & why. They broke my tv as an result from requesting they move it so they wouldn't hit it continuously. My experience from quote to booking to the actual move were great! I requested a quote on Friday for the next Thursday and they were great and accommodating. I requested the 8-10 pick up time. They called at 815 and said said they would be at my house around 845-9. They got here at 9am and the truck took 1 hour to load furniture/stuff for an 800 sq ft. Went from la Cantera area to Southtown in 30 mins and finished loading everything out by 12pm Brian's team was AMAZING, courteous, efficient and fast. Offered to put our glass table together and we're super careful with it as well as the tv. I would totally recommend this company. Started out with the driver calling me at 11:20am to say we will be there in 25 minutes. Follow up call at 12:10 that one of the crew was running late and they would be there shortly. 12:35 text from business they have arrived. Did not show up at my door for 15 more minutes. Originally I said 2 crew and Truck. The operator told me since I had big items 3 men would be faster i said ok. I was stupid to believe that, just flipped the item one end and dollied it out. Well they would be faster if they did not take a 5-8 min brake after every 2 trips. 1 bed apt took them 2 hours to move out. I used another company to move me out of a 3 bed house 3 man crew that only took 1.5 hrs. So 2:45 leaving for my house.. 20 min away. Get a text at 3:15 stopped for gas. Really did not get gas before the move. Arrive at house 3:45. I left my apt, stopped at 2 stores and still made it to the house by 3:05. Then they back the truck up in my front yard...I go out my front door and they are already at my front steps... when I tell them you break my water or sewer line you will pay to fix it. They say we do this all the time. Your water line is 10 ft over. 4 hr move with 30 minutes of breaks and an hour travel time. Company is a rip off. The driver guilt trips me, because I don't think they deserve a tip. $750 and $50 tip later, they did not even place all my furniture or unwrap it all. Great service everytime we move. We have used AB Movers for 4 moves over the last 5 years and have been impressed everytime with the pricing, flexibility, the customer service and the moving time. We are using them again on Monday the 23rd. The guys are always friendly and talkative, our move usually takes 2 and a half hours to 3 hours maximum and that's total moving out and moving back in with travel time being 15min to 45min. We hired AB Moving because we were moving houses and needed assistance. They sent 3 movers in a U-haul. Not a big deal. They were able to move everything out of the house and into the new one. There were a few damaged items, a damaged antique credenza and two 3ft x 5ft mirrors. The issue is they wanted to settle for less than $100. They were unable to tell me where they received their pricing to come up with $70 dollars. They have been unprofessional by not returning calls, ignoring emails, and generally being unavailable to address the issues. One of the movers tried to talk my wife into not making a claim because according him it would come out of his pocket, not the company's. I cannot tell you their reputation in other cities but whoever is running the SA office needs to come correct. You can hire them at your own risk BUT do not say you were not warned. Find someone else. AB Moving is not worth it. We are still dealing with them in addition scrambling to replace a priceless credenza. read more

Our unloading team here is San Antonio was fantastic! Our pods were delayed a week and they worked with us pushing the time back 3 times. Victor, Mike and Renae were all three very helpful and did great work. They assembled pieces that needed to be put back together and moved items to specific places. Contacted AB and scheduled a time and day for a move. They contacted us back and informed us the time they provided us was not available and asked if we would be willing to push the move time from a morning schedule to an afternoon schedule (movers would arrive between 2-5pm). We agreed to the new time. The day of the move has arrived and it is past 7:15PM and the movers have yet to arrive. Not only has AB been unable to schedule a move and keep the original timeframe, AB is unable to show up on time to the new time THEY requested and we kindly agreed to. Worse moving company we ever hired. They poorly packed the truck so all our stuff would not fit. They hid this from us by stacking out stuff at the rear of the truck blocking our view. We believe their lie until we arrived at our destination and started unloading the truck. We ended up with damaged/broken items because they are not true professional movers. They were more worried about taking numerous breaks to their truck, (highly suspect drug use) then packing our possessions properly, respectfully and professionally. Worst moving experience I have ever had! I hired AB movers to move one dining table. One very expensive dining table, 3 men showed up to the first location and one of the men they sent had to weigh about 90 pounds which made me nervous because I specified that this table was extremely heavy. Well that one 90 pound employee of theirs had to be on drugs..he had way too much energy and was spazzing out because I asked them to wrap the glass top on my table. He said they would not be able to grip it with the shrink wrap and blanket but then agreed to wrap it. Then they attempted to carry the table out into the truck and they could barely get it out the door.. they didn't seem to have much experience moving heavy things. Once they got to my house the movers said that the best way to get my 3000 dollar dining table in the house was to roll in through my grass.. I live on half an acre so my front lawn is pretty long. I didn't want to tell them how to do their job so I watched them carelessly roll my glass top through the lawn...once they got to the side walk I assumed they would lift up the glass and carry it into my house the last 5 feet but NO.. they continued to roll it and obviously chipped my table. They were very careless and I am extremely upset that they ruined my table! Do not hire this company to move your belongings, they are not professional. Oh and the main guy they sent me Victor said for me to not call his boss because he would get in trouble and asked if I could say that I canceled my move so I wouldn't have to pay. I used AB for a local move. Used their packing services as well. The guys were very nice and very quick. I had packed and labeled boxes as well. My only issue is if you don't want something packed, move it!!!!!! And make sure you label the boxes before they can take them out to the door. Even though I had a friend on the other side helping me kind of directing traffic it took more time because we had to open some boxes to find what was in them. And the following day I found boxes labeled "upstairs" downstairs and in the garage. I would use them again for moving services but not packing services. Labeling boxes just kind of makes sense.... especially for the cost! read more

He was accompanied by Alex and Brian and between them, I had an excellent move. A small snafu at the end when they left before putting the top on an armoire, which also lost a couple of pieces of wood during the move. I used this company last year and the group of guys they sent were very quick and outstanding so I decided to of course use them again this year. However the group that was sent to move my 2 bedroom apartment that should have been a very simple and quick job turned into a 4 hour job costing me $450! They moved extremely slow and it was 3 men ! It took all 3 of them to set up my queen bed and again all 3 of the to set up my sons queen bed. I had to continually let them know I can't afford anymore time you guys need to move faster and spread the work not all 3 working on setting up a bed. They were very nice well mannered and polite but there was no sense of urgency.
