Friday, January 9th. Approx. 6:50 PM OVERVIEW: Was at Lincoln Village to do some shopping, and wanted to try this restaurant for the first time and get some to-go food. Will probably go back again to give their Dim Sum a try. PROS: - GREAT LOCATION in the middle of Lincoln Village Shopping Center & lots of available parking spaces. - Ordered the Fried Garlic Chicken, Broccoli Beef & House Special Chow Mein. Good flavor & volume for the price. - This may be commonsensical, but while it was quite cold outside on this January evening, management kept the temperature of the dining area at a warm level. I bring this point up since a lot of restaurants in Stockton & Lodi have turned the thermostats of their dining areas down to cut overhead costs, but this place kept their dining area warm & comfy. CONS: - It seems obvious that they only have one chef working in their kitchen, since it took almost 30 minutes to complete my order. Sure, they had to serve other customers dining in, as well as handle a constant flow of pick-up orders, but since it was peak order time on a Friday night, they should have more staff in the kitchen to quickly support the order volume. - While I mentioned in the "PROS" section above, the food has good flavor and volume for the price. The downside is that the overall flavors are not outstanding nor memorable, which doesn't allow for much separation with other mainstream Chinese restaurants, serving the same dishes in Stockton. SUMMARY: If you're in the Lincoln Village area, want to eat Chinese food and are not in a particular hurry, this is a good place to park the car and sit down for a while. If you are in a hurry, better to phone in your order beforehand to cut the waiting time. Don't expect exotic food presentations and flavors, but don't expect massive damage to your wallet either. read more

I grew up going to Dynasty with my fam more than any other restaurant in Stockton. Casual lunches and special occasions were almost always at Dynasty. Danny was always so kind and attentive every time we were there. They have newer owners now but the food is just as delicious as before. Stopped by for lunch with my mom today and ordered the Mongolian beef lunch special. It came with fried rice, basic chow mein, an egg roll, soup, and the beef. I love their egg flower soup, it's the best in town imo and the Mongolian beef had just the right amount of spice. You really can't beat the price for lunch especially because the amount of food is huge. Their dim sum is also the best in Stockton to me and they have a large variety of dim sum dishes to chose from. read more

My dad's friend recommended this spot so we decided to come here for lunch back in January. We arrived 17 min after they open and this place was almost full. We don't go to dim sum places all the time because we don't really know what to get. We decided tried a few dim sum dishes and they were pretty good and we also ordered 3 main dishes. We got the wonton soup, sweet and sour pork and beef with veggies. Portion size was good and food tasted delicious. Overall, another good spot in Stockton if you haven't gone. Very disappointed with our experience. We waited 45 minutes for our food, and no one ever checked on us or provided an update. When we finally asked why it was taking so long, the only explanation we received was, "Food takes a long time to cook." To make matters worse, the menu stated that the meal came with soup. When we asked about it, we were told that the soup is only included on weekdays. However, this restriction was not mentioned anywhere on the menu. The lack of communication, poor customer service, and misleading menu information made for a very frustrating dining experience. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. So I went there for Mother's Day and ordered takeout there and when I asked for their SUPS good blackbean ribs she literally said "that takes too long to make" and chose something else. I decided to come back based on my previous experience. This time, I gave them an extra star because at least the dim sum tasted good. I came in at 2 PM on New Year's Day. Big mistake, they were packed. But based on my last experience, I decided to stay. This time it was definitely not as good of an experience. I get to my table, and once again, I ordered the sampan porridge, that I had last time. They were also doing dim sum, so while I waited for my food, the first couple of times the dim sum cart came by, I ordered an item off of the cart. The first item, was just your standard potsticker. I didn't get a picture of it. The second item I ordered, it was a rice paper roll, I believe it had pork inside. Both of the dim sum's tasted good, but the problem is, they were warm at best. Kind of unappetizing. They need to find a way to keep the food hot. Maybe keep it covered, and not just push it around on an open cart. My porridge comes, she sloppily, puts it down on the table, almost spilling some of the porridge. And then, she forgets to bring me a spoon. She says "I will bring you a spoon." So I wait, and I wait, ... finally, I have to wave her down, and I politely tell her that I have been waiting over five minutes for a spoon. She looks at me dismissively, and goes. "yeah, yeah..." walks away and finally brings me a spoon. Fortunately, the porridge was still hot. The peanuts, scallions and crispy noodles topping was good as last time, and as last time, they went kind of skimpy on the fillings. However, this time, the porridge was extremely bland. It basically tasted like rice water. It took a lot of salt, pepper, and soy sauce to make it palatable. This was not the bowl of congee that I had last time. For a bowl of porridge and two dim sum's, I thought the price was kind of high. The issues may have been because they were so busy, but if you are a really good restaurant, your quality should be consistent, whether you are busy or not. Sorry, this time I won't be back. This place has been around forever so I'm told. I went there for a work lunch and we ordered a bunch of shareable food dishes. I need to go back and order what I want. The hostess was very nice and accommodating. I did enjoy the experience just needed to spend time with the menu. read more

Demanding a tip when you go to pay is simply shit service. If you want to charge more than charge more. A tip is extra. And to demand in front of customers is WILD ASS BEHAVIOR man. My family and I have eaten at this restaurant numerous times. The food is excellent. The prices are quite fair and the staff is efficient. The restaurant does get very crowded at times and it can be a wait to get seated but the food is worth the wait. I highly recommend this place. read more

Absolutely Horrible Service. We walked out. We came in tonight for dinner, it was our first time here. There were only 8 other tables so it was pretty empty. The servers were nice and took our order in about 5 minutes. We started noticing that other guests were not really happy and then we started to realize why. I went to pick up my DoorDash order when one of the staff members turned into a food detective demanding to see hard evidence of my order as if I was some kind of takeout thief. After seeing the proof of purchase on the app, she tossed my order into my arms and walked away. The lack of a welcoming atmosphere, combined with the minimal lunchtime foot traffic, you'd think they'd sprinkle a touch of charm to draw folks in, but it's like customer service took a backseat and drove off without them. If I owned this place, I'd have concerns about the establishment's long-term viability. This place has been a favorite of mines since I found out they had "salted fish fried rice with chopped chicken" So far I only know of 4 restaurants in Stockton that has that dish but Dynasty makes the best one. I normally order that with Chinese broccoli on top of the rice. The fried rice is cooked perfectly, with the salted fish being perfectly prepared! Every time I come in, the server recognizes me and automatically welcomes me in, seats me, have a casual conversation with me, and asks me if I will have the usual dish. She remembers every time! The restaurant gets pretty busy because they have so much going on, but I love how my server always checks up on me and ask if I'm okay. The restaurant has been one of the few Chinese restaurants that I will eat at because I only dine in at "ethnic" and "authentic" Chinese restaurants. The ambiance has a some character to it as well. I will be gladly coming back for my salty fish fried rice and occasionally some dim sum! read more

11/19/23 - Last Sunday I stopped in to get some pork buns. Safeway didn't have any. I don't like my pork buns to have that crunchy taste, meaning: like potato chips. I am very careful with pork products. I have been told that when pork is too crunchy it's either old or has too much fat on it!! The pork buns were made fresh as I was waiting. Four pork buns was $6.00+ so $2.00 each plus tax; not bad, and they were good!!! Now, since that have me interested I will try their Dim Sum one Sunday. Not sure why yelp has this labeled as $$ I think it is closer to $$$. I paid $194 for six people to eat the mandarin meal. We had a little left over but not much at all. We ordered three sides of dumplings. We drank only water so in my opinion it is pricey and portions are not near as generous as most Chinese restaurants. The waitress accidentally spilled water cup and it got all over the floor and a little on my back. It was a accident so I'm not holding it against her. However, I had to ask three times to get a refill on my water before she finally brought a water pitcher to fill my cup. Other than bring food and drop it off to the table the service was non existent. I had no fork but the other five people in my party had gotten a fork. I ended up eating with a serving spoon. I had to ask for to go containers at the register as my waitress ever offered and I wanted to take the little bit of leftovers home with me. The only reason I'm so critical of the service is due to the restraunt charging me a mandatory 20% tip. Don't get me wrong, when service is good I'll tip more than 29% but when it's not a experience I would like to revisit I don't feel the tip should be up to the restaurant and not me.
