I grew up going to Dynasty with my fam more than any other restaurant in Stockton. Casual lunches and special occasions were almost always at Dynasty. Danny was always so kind and attentive every time we were there. They have newer owners now but the food is just as delicious as before. Stopped by for lunch with my mom today and ordered the Mongolian beef lunch special. It came with fried rice, basic chow mein, an egg roll, soup, and the beef. I love their egg flower soup, it's the best in town imo and the Mongolian beef had just the right amount of spice. You really can't beat the price for lunch especially because the amount of food is huge. Their dim sum is also the best in Stockton to me and they have a large variety of dim sum dishes to chose from.

My dad's friend recommended this spot so we decided to come here for lunch back in January. We arrived 17 min after they open and this place was almost full. We don't go to dim sum places all the time because we don't really know what to get. We decided tried a few dim sum dishes and they were pretty good and we also ordered 3 main dishes. We got the wonton soup, sweet and sour pork and beef with veggies. Portion size was good and food tasted delicious. Overall, another good spot in Stockton if you haven't gone. Will be back again.

    I liked the rice porridge.

I decided to come back based on my previous experience. This time, I gave them an extra star because at least the dim sum tasted good. I came in at 2 PM on New Year's Day. Big mistake, they were packed. But based on my last experience, I decided to stay. This time it was definitely not as good of an experience. I get to my table, and once again, I ordered the sampan porridge, that I had last time. They were also doing dim sum, so while I waited for my food, the first couple of times the dim sum cart came by, I ordered an item off of the cart. The first item, was just your standard potsticker. I didn't get a picture of it. The second item I ordered, it was a rice paper roll, I believe it had pork inside. Both of the dim sum's tasted good, but the problem is, they were warm at best. Kind of unappetizing. They need to find a way to keep the food hot. Maybe keep it covered, and not just push it around on an open cart. My porridge comes, she sloppily, puts it down on the table, almost spilling some of the porridge. And then, she forgets to bring me a spoon. She says "I will bring you a spoon." So I wait, and I wait, ... finally, I have to wave her down, and I politely tell her that I have been waiting over five minutes for a spoon. She looks at me dismissively, and goes. "yeah, yeah..." walks away and finally brings me a spoon. Fortunately, the porridge was still hot. The peanuts, scallions and crispy noodles topping was good as last time, and as last time, they went kind of skimpy on the fillings. However, this time, the porridge was extremely bland. It basically tasted like rice water. It took a lot of salt, pepper, and soy sauce to make it palatable. This was not the bowl of congee that I had last time. For a bowl of porridge and two dim sum's, I thought the price was kind of high. The issues may have been because they were so busy, but if you are a really good restaurant, your quality should be consistent, whether you are busy or not. Sorry, this time I won't be back. Bye-bye.

Service was good but dim sum tasted like it's from yesterday being reheated. Crab puffs are disgusting! Super thick wrapped and over fried.

Hong Kong style chow mein, Pork Bun & Pork Siomai.

The workers there are very polite, the food is one of the best chinese food in that area, fast service, pricing is not on the expensive side but the portions were enormous. Love that place and we will definitely eat there again.

    Dim sum heaven!!!

We have been here once before and over all the food is really good!!! Service was ok also making everything hot and fresh!!! Ambiance is good a real Nice place !! It is alil pricey but saying that I would also say we had enough food to take home and have another complete meal lol!! So if you want dim sum or just really good Chinese food ! Try this place out!! I will put up a couple of pix!!

My family and I have eaten at this restaurant numerous times. The food is excellent. The prices are quite fair and the staff is efficient. The restaurant does get very crowded at times and it can be a wait to get seated but the food is worth the wait. I highly recommend this place.

Picked up a call in order as this is my aunts local takeout spot. I glanced at the interior and the place looks seriously old school. Like how divey places in Chinatown SF used to look back in the 70s-80s. They do all the canto classics and even have dim sum (which the locals vouch for), and a few Chinese bbq items which sound like can be quite limited. The hot deli case when I arrived on a late afternoon didn't really have much going on. Won Ton Soup ($14/4*) Totally reminds me of the won ton soups I grew up with. Broth had good viscosity definitely layered, not monotone like most modern soups. Not salty at all which was redeeming yet surprising. Wontons were super soft (too soft for me) but the pork flavor delivered with a nice sesame oil finish. Only a few cut pieces of baby bok choy garnish. May try the Wor Won Ton next time around. House Special Fried Rice ($14/3.5*) Definitely hearty with chunks of whole shrimps, chicken and bbq pork. Rice darkened with soy and did not clump so tossed in a wok properly. Gotta eat it warm/hot tho as when it cools the rice kernels get kinda tough, like resumes being leftover rice. But when warm is kinda protocol fried rice texture. Sauteed Rock Cod with Tender Greens ($17/4.5*) Probably one of my current go-to picks when I'm delving in Cantonese fare. Love how the fish filets are so tender (velveted) and seasoned so minimally that the fish just shines. The sauce is a little sticky but still remains quite translucent and unobtrusive. I prefer a little more slivered ginger but totally a personal preference. Baby bok choy are the 'tender greens' and were cooked perfectly. This can remain a staple for me. House Special Chow Mein ($14/4.5*) I didn't think I was going to love this but I did. Thick lo mein noodles were so QQ and totally absorbed the wok hei and sauce that cooked into the noodles. Not the prettiest but the chef showed me he's from the old school which is a dying breed. But to have been able to taste this type of skill again brought some joy to me, even as leftovers. Next time I visit my aunt and uncle, I'll try and do a sit down meal here as to meet the people behind this gem. I wish there were more places like this in the Bay Area where I live. But that generation that were able to execute this type of cuisine I'm afraid are mostly gone. Round up to a fiver for transporting my taste buds back in a foodie time machine. That's gotta count for something amirite?!

Turn the clock forward a decade and guess what, the food is still outstanding and the service is still attentive and kind. It was a 2 1/2 hour drive for us so we were good and hungry when we got into town. The owner greeted us warmly and a friendly server (her son), came by to help us. We decided to order: Hot & sour soup - heaven in a big bowl. Savory broth filled with delicious ingredients. It was well flavored, not too spicy or tangy Mu shu chicken - 4 pancakes with hoisin sauce. Our server wrapped our first ones for us. The dish contained the typical scrambled egg, sliced cabbage, protein, etc and it was fresh and tasty Beef with asparagus -noted in the entry that asparagus was in season so we had to order it. Meat was tender and the asparagus was cooked beautifully House chow mein - Fried perfectly and not doused in a bunch of sauce or oil. The protein on this dish was plentiful and it was simple and delicious. I loved how they didn't add chives/green onion to these dishes. The hot & sour soup had a few little green onions for color but this is the first time I've been to a Chinese restaurant that doesn't overfill the dishes with onions (as I don't like onions). Maybe that's the reason I enjoyed everything so much. Portions are very generous! We had lots of yummy leftovers. Our server told us that two of his brothers were the chefs. My kudos to them; they certainly know how to cook!

It was my first time eating at House Of Potsticker as I usually steer away from Chinese food considering I grew up eating it literally all of the time. My personal staple when eating Chinese food is honey walnut prawns and theirs definitely hit the spot. The prawns were huge and perfectly fried before tossed in the sauce. Another staple is veggies so today we opted for the sautéed cabbage and it was simple yet so satisfying. My partner chose the Mongolian beef (extra spice) and chicken fried rice.
