Stop complaining and to all you haters, this place has been opened since the 80s or maybe even longer than that. And I've been coming here since I was a little kid since the early 90s. It's not a fancy dining restaurant service for you to go show off your outfit or your pretty face. It's more like a to go fast food and it's either a hit or miss depending if you get them fresh or not. But if you get the fried chicken fresh and juicy, they be hitting and addicting, and it goes so well with the fried rice too.

I grew up on this location.. Always amazing and has the best tasting Fried Chicken! The portions is incredible! Hands down my favorite Chinese Deli

I'd hate to be the bringer of bad news. Actually just ignore my review, my standards are probably too high. I'm not from Stockton, so I have tons of readily available Chinese food. The fried rice is like a dark brown with ham and green onions. Not too bad, it's just your typical "combo plate" rice and noodles. They serve a vegetable, that is heavily sauced with a "cornstarch" texture. The fried shrimp was really good (good sized and tenderness) and the pork was a little hard and dry but with the sweet and sour sauce made it good. I actually really liked the fried chicken drumstick...oh man it's good! It has the Asian flavor, but it's like fried chicken. Totally worth it. However I wish the Filipino Food Express was open on Friday night, but it's okay. I'd give this place a 2.5ish, but since it's a smorgasbord (you don't find many Chinese smorgasbords), I'm bumping it up to 3 stars!

Customer service suck.. Restaurant filthy.. Overpriced for food that taste disgusting... Only had one plate that didn't even finish it...

Now open seven days a week from 11 AM to 8:30 PM

Not the best looking place but the food is good and inexpensive. I've been going there for years and it's consistently a good choice.

Friendly service and very efficient! They have the system down, from ordering to serving, filling waters and boxing up the leftovers! Beautiful ceiling and clean restaurant. Lots of people but it didn't feel cramped, tables are laid out to still feel like you can have conversations without neighbors hearing every word. Food was hot, flavorful and plentiful! We wanted an overall tasting of some of the most popular items so we got a family meal and our waiter helped us tailor/sub a couple choices. Trust their recommendations! We already want to go back and bring family/friends with us!

Turn the clock forward a decade and guess what, the food is still outstanding and the service is still attentive and kind. It was a 2 1/2 hour drive for us so we were good and hungry when we got into town. The owner greeted us warmly and a friendly server (her son), came by to help us. We decided to order: Hot & sour soup - heaven in a big bowl. Savory broth filled with delicious ingredients. It was well flavored, not too spicy or tangy Mu shu chicken - 4 pancakes with hoisin sauce. Our server wrapped our first ones for us. The dish contained the typical scrambled egg, sliced cabbage, protein, etc and it was fresh and tasty Beef with asparagus -noted in the entry that asparagus was in season so we had to order it. Meat was tender and the asparagus was cooked beautifully House chow mein - Fried perfectly and not doused in a bunch of sauce or oil. The protein on this dish was plentiful and it was simple and delicious. I loved how they didn't add chives/green onion to these dishes. The hot & sour soup had a few little green onions for color but this is the first time I've been to a Chinese restaurant that doesn't overfill the dishes with onions (as I don't like onions). Maybe that's the reason I enjoyed everything so much. Portions are very generous! We had lots of yummy leftovers. Our server told us that two of his brothers were the chefs. My kudos to them; they certainly know how to cook!

Awesome awesome on…read more Food Hospitality Cleanliness Ambiance Price point for a buffet You cannot go wrong at this joint, the price point for their buffet is so competitively reasonable. There…read morearen't a lot of great Chinese buffet options in the area, so I came in with reasonable expectations, and this place exceeded them. Before I get into the review, I think it's only fair to mention that I rate buffets differently than traditional restaurants. My expectations are based on other buffets, where freshness, consistency, food rotation, and value matter just as much as presentation. This feels more like a small, family-owned neighborhood buffet than a large commercial chain, and I actually think that's part of its charm. The buffet isn't huge, but I'd rather have a smaller selection that's done well than a massive buffet where half the food has been sitting under heat lamps for hours. I sampled most of the buffet, and overall I was impressed. My favorite dishes were the beef chow fun noodles, chow mein, honey pork, fried rice, teriyaki chicken, and the spicy chicken wings. The wings were especially good, they were nice and meaty with a great flavor and weren't loaded with fat like buffet wings sometimes are. Other solid choices were the sweet and sour pork, broccoli beef, and fried green beans. The only items that didn't really stand out to me were the vegetable egg rolls and crab rangoons. They weren't bad by any means, just average compared to the rest of the buffet. One thing that really stood out was how well the buffet was maintained. A staff member was constantly cleaning, rotating trays, and refilling food, so everything stayed warm and fresh throughout my visit. I never came across anything that was cold or looked like it had been sitting for a long time. The soda station was clean, drinks were self-serve, and the staff was friendly whenever I interacted with them. Most of the customers seemed to be ordering takeout rather than dining in, and after seeing the portions, I completely understand why. The takeout containers were packed so full they were almost difficult to close. For the price, the value here is outstanding. The only reason I'm not giving this place five stars comes down to presentation. The dining room itself is clean, but it's very simple. From the drink station you can see directly into part of the kitchen, and the plumbing underneath the soda and ice machine is exposed, which makes the restaurant feel less polished. I didn't see anything that made me question the cleanliness or food safety; it was more of an aesthetic issue than a sanitation concern, but it does affect the overall atmosphere. That said, when I judge this place as a buffet rather than comparing it to a full-service restaurant, the food quality, freshness, service, and value easily outweigh those cosmetic issues. Would I come back? Absolutely. If you're looking for an affordable Chinese buffet with consistently fresh food, friendly staff, generous portions, and flavors that honestly surprised me, M Kitchen Buffet is definitely worth checking out.

I loaded my container up with spicy Szechuan chicken, garlic chicken, Mongolian beef, and white rice. Everything was fresh, hot, and seriously flavorful. And let's talk about portions... they PACK those containers to the point they barely close definitely got my money's worth and then some. People in my family also liked the stir-fried beef with wide rice noodles, kung pao chicken, and whole pieces of fried chicken. The one desert was sesame balls. There were also tempura-style veggies and fries. No fresh vegetables or fruit, but they had stir-fried broccoli. There were also egg rolls and crab rangoon. Simple tables and chairs, 2 bathrooms (with disposable seat covers available), and disposable plates, forks, cups, etc. Floor was just a little sticky. You just walk right in, grab a plate, and start loading up. Once you sit down, someone will bring drinks. While there, many people came in for the to-go options. When we went to pay our bill, they also offered a $4.95 kids price. What? Not sure how they survive! Would definitely come back if I were a local.

The execution of both dishes was extraordinarily superb. On top of that, the price points were extremely reasonable. I found this place online, called, placed my order. Upon driving up... I was not happy, it was the corner spot of the lot, there's no seating inside, you walk in and you can't see the food be made, they have this table blocking the way to get inside the rest of the building which is just empty... The place honestly looks shut down. I hate that I couldn't see anywhere in the back where the food was being cooked, the lady kept yelling at the man in the back. She wasn't too welcoming when I walked in either. Then, I pay, tip $8. She tells me it'll be a 10 min wait, I walk around the lot.. get back, and I ask for 1 hot oil and she's going to say "we charge for that, that'll be $1.50!" I say okay, hand her my card and then she says "$6 minimum or a 75 cent charge." Like lady? I tipped $8 on a 14 meal..... can I just have the hot oil at this point. So I said that's fine, she charged me and I went on my way. Sadly, I won't be returning. Not only because ambience and staff, but food wasn't too hot either, super under seasoned and that's saying a lot because I'm on a kidney friendly diet for the MOST part lol.
