My boyfriend and I moved today with Kirill's crew and we genuinely could not have asked for a lovelier experience. They were communicative, friendly, professional, and, most importantly, super, super good at their jobs! Like, shockingly strong. Hefting a vintage steamer trunk on one shoulder strong. My knees, neck and back hurt just looking at them But in all seriousness, their relaxed--but brisk and effective--moving style made our small local move so much easier and more pleasant. We'd never used movers before and didn't know what to expect, but they were finished packing the truck, driving, and unpacking in 2.5 hours--shortest move of my life! They even disassembled our couch, rolled up a rug, and wrapped our dressers, trunks and other items for us free of charge. They were careful with my many plants and handled my mirror, art, and other delicate items with finesse. We were previously in a first-floor 1-bed and moved to a second-floor 3-bed with stairs, and there was no extra charge for the stairs. Excellent movers - quick, professional and efficient. These guys work hard - this is thankless physical labor and we were very grateful for their quick work and professionalism. I already had my boxes packed and they speedily stacked them and brought them out before covering my fragile furniture and loading as well. I noticed some reviewers docked them for being disappointed with small tips, but I think the error was on the reviewers for not being clear on the appropriate tip. on 7/6/23, i needed the services of dyno moving to move 1 piece of exercise equipment from a luxury condo suite on lexington ave. the building management insurance requirements for movers (coi) were very extensive and complex and took almost 30 days to get approved by building management. once the sales manager alex knew that i was in a bind to find a qualified mover he became more difficult to deal with, very surly and rude. i paid $50.00 for the coi paperwork , and $350.00 for the move of 1 piece, that fit on a dolly. the entire move of the item including completing the paperwork and making payment, took less than 18 minutes! the movers were very polite. did a good job. unfortunately i did not tip them because i was so badly overcharged for the job. note to alex: just because you have an advantage, doesn't mean you need to take advantage of people. customers do your research!!! géry read more

Incredible experience with Dyno Moving! I found them on Yelp and messaged them through the app to get a quote and to book with them. They were extremely responsive over email leading up to the move and also provided me with a Certificate of Insurance a week before the move which was perfect. The short of it: Dyno Moving was quick, good price, good value, and movers were nice, but be very direct and follow up if you have a piece that you are worried about and want extra care. The long of it: We hired Dyno to do our move from a storage unit to an apartment close by. They were quick in communication and had a good price for the move. They called us before arriving and worked very quickly. They got all our stuff in one go and when we got to the apartment, were really communicative on where to put things. We had one challenging piece of furniture--an 8ft long x 4ft deep sofa--that they had to finesse into the stairwell and into the apartment and they did a great job. We had purchased some very expensive furniture (Lexington/Tommy Bahama) that we expressed to them we would like extra care when handling. The only issue we had was that I had specifically asked them to wrap two very expensive chairs with a solid maple frame and I even offered them blankets and they told me they would, but they didn't wrap them. By the time it got to the apartment, the arms were badly superficially scratched and gouged. There was also superficial damage of our solid wood table and chairs. Nothing was structurally damaged, but the superficial damage will have to be addressed by a professional. When I brought it up with them they took responsibility, sincerely apologize and gave us the last 20 min they were there off. Overall, they are good movers and offer a good value. We would most likely hire them again, but I would ask management to improve the process and protocols around wrapping pieces of furniture. read more

This is going to be a very long review because of all the great things I have to say about my experience. Best moving experience I have had in NYC, hands down. I have already recommended Dyno to my roommate who will be moving in in September. I found Dyno on Yelp and was pleased to see how competitive their pricing was. Alex was very prompt with his responses and helped me set up a move with no problems, even when I had to reschedule last minute. Ivan and his team were unbelievable. Ivan was super communicative the entire move, explaining the whole process and making recommendations to make the move faster. The team started working as soon as they entered my apartment. They quickly loaded up all my stuff, and even packed the small items that I hadn't placed in boxes yet. The team has extra boxes and shrink wrap on hand just in case you need these supplies last minute. My cat HATES traveling, and putting him in his cage was QUITE the task. When I thought my cat ran out of the apartment, one of movers (didn't grab his name!) stopped what he was doing, and ran outside to the hallway to help me look for him. Just when I thought I had lost my cat, he came running out to the hallway to let me know he found him hiding in the bathroom. I was throwing out my bed, box spring, and dining table, and Ivan and his team disassembled and disposed of everything for me. I moved from an elevator building to a third floor walk up, and these guys unloaded all my stuff faster than I could have ever imagined, and not a single thing was damaged. Really great experience with Dyno Moving. I got quotes from at least 10 different places and Dyno was the most reasonable - the price was a third of the highest quote! They were super responsive and very transparent with pricing. I appreciate that you didn't have to take inventory of every single thing. They showed up 15 minutes early and moved all of our stuff in less than 3 hours. They also took disassembled and assembled our bed frame and our chaise lounge couch. We wanted to switch up our chaise from one side to another side of the couch, and they assembled it for us with no complaints! They were really careful and extremely friendly. My move ended up being different than planned due to Uhaul's incompetency. Instead of moving things from Point A to Point B, we had to make another stop to pick up the items. They were patient and adaptable throughout the entire process, which made it less stressful. However, I'm giving them two stars because: (1) The move could have technically been done within two hours, even though we had to add another stop, but they delayed the process by either driving slowly or making stops--who knows--all I know is that they left the site before I left but arrived 20+ minutes later than I did. (The same thing happened when we drove from Point A to B.) Parking in front of my place shouldn't have been an issue since it was a Saturday morning. I can only assume they purposely took a long time to deliver because they wanted to extend the move to an additional hour (so 3 hours total). When they did arrive, it only took them 15-20 minutes to move everything--they finished before the additional hour mark but according to the mover "it's almost three hours". I was planning to pay them for three hours because we had to add another stop but their actions were totally uncalled for. (2) I was told that I needed to tip 10% of the total per person. There were three of them so it ended up being 30% of the total, which I thought was high but ended up paying because of fear honestly--he was sitting in my living room and didn't look like he was going to leave without the 30% tip--I doubt anything would have happened but given the situation, it was better to be safe than sorry. I did ask him before paying, what if I don't want to give that amount of tip--c'mon they delayed the entire process--he said "you don't have to". I'm still bothered that I was told to tip 30% when there were no mentions of it in the email (I checked)--I also googled and asked friends--30% is not customary. read more

They even used our balcony to get the couch and box spring down. They moved non stop and worked hard. They arrived early and cut the time off about 10-15 mins before they were completely done. Why the 1 star deduction? At the end they were pressuring me into giving a larger tip and started off saying $50 per guy. I hadn't budgeted for that much. He seemed put off and was pretty much negotiating the tip with me, which made me uncomfortable to say the least. In addition to this, they left a desk of mine in the lobby.
