don't buy the v16 just yet if you're expecting to use all of the app features. the vacuum itself is great, but the app still registers it as an "unknown machine," so many of its features are unavailable. what made this especially frustrating was that online chat and hotline support were very confident the issue was my original v16. they even sent me a return label and assured me i'd receive a replacement that would fully work with the app. but there was no way i was going to ship it out and wait around 15 days, so i went in store instead and got a replacement. the san francisco demo store staff helped me set up the new vacuum with the mydyson app in-store, and from the beginning they were actually right--the app would not work with this model either, despite what online and hotline support insisted. the saving grace of this entire experience was the demo store staff. trust the people whose hands actually touch these vacuums every day. miguel was incredibly helpful during my first purchase. i didn't catch the name of another staff member (he's in one of my photos), but he patiently helped me set up the replacement in-store and confirmed the same app issue. and the biggest shoutout goes to zac, who has been patiently updating me since january on the v16's availability. he consistently told me the issue wasn't my vacuum, and i owe him an apology for not believing him sooner. still giving this store 5 stars--not because of the v16 or the online/hotline support (those honestly get a 0/100 from me), but because the sf demo store staff are outstanding. they're knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely care about helping customers. they were the saving grace of this entire experience. read more

Honestly one of the worst companies I've ever personally dealt with. There is nowhere else I could leave this review so I'll leave it here. After buying 3 Dyson vacuums (change them every 4 years personal decision) I've never had to call and deal with customer service. My v7 detect vacuum just went out of warranty about 4 months and started breaking apart piece by piece. I called and didn't want a vacuum replacement or anything crazy, just wanted to replace the $25 plastic bin that fell apart extremely quickly in its lifetime. They were very quick to say nothing they can do and pretty much too bad so sad. For a $700 vacuum you would think the customer service would be a bit better. Last Dyson product to ever enter this household. This would rank the worst company on my list of yelp reviews. read more

I recently bought the V15 absolute since it was on sale and had a faulty battery where it wouldn't charge. Talke to chat support and they sent me a new one but it somehow got sent to the demo store instead of my home. I called the demo store to see if they could hold onto the package for me and while they said they normally wouldn't, they would do it for me as a courtesy if I came to pick it up. When I arrived, I was greeted by Patrick and told him I wanted to instead replace my entire vacuum with the faulty battery and he graciously set me up with a new vacuum. I still had to return the old vacuum by mail since I bought it online but he happened to be the one I talked to on the phone the day before about holding the package sent to their store. Love the Dyson range, we have a super sonic, vacuum, and most recently we purchased the air wrap from Costco. I only had it about a week before it stopped working (I think it was a lemon), so we brought it into the union square location for repairs. Patrick was super helpful and while the store doesn't do repairs, they did offer a different airwrap set with more of the attachments I wanted. We ended up purchasing a new airwrap and returning the old one.
