This review has nothing to do with Dr. Tran but his front office staff. My mom has been trying to get her FMLA paper signed and completed for a month now and every-time we come in to get it completed the front desk staff says the form has not been faxed by my mom work or some other ridiculous excuse. She always respond with an attitude and act entitled. At one point we decided call our HR on site and confirmed it was faxed and marked delivered and when confronting the girl she said fax takes anywhere from 2 hours to 24 hours to come. Which is ridiculous and false! I work in health care and is faxing paperwork all the time and so I know it does not work like that. Because of this delay my mom FLMA paper keeps expiring and we keep having to renew and is delaying care. Horrible front desk staff causing patients and family to be frustrated when there should be care! read more

This is a very frustrated rating of office communication. Dr Tran is a 5 star doc . I admire and respect this doc. Dr Tran was so thoughtful and helpful during my out of state cancer treatment He's bright and caring. I am hoping to remain his patient for a long time. However dealing with waiting months to hear back from office staff ends up making small matters a very frustrating experience. They are wonderful in person but I wonder if they realize how uncaring, even bordering rude the office communication may come across to some patients ( like me ). This office keeps sending my grandparents a bill but we've been trying to call them for MONTHS and nobody ever answers or even calls back. I finally had to drive down to the office -- and guess what, they're still open and in business!! We thought because they don't answer, they closed down. They also had no reasoning for why they dont answer the phone or even call their patients back. Definitely needs new front office staff read more

You could never get a hold of his office. The front desk is lousy when you asked for prescription renewal will never do it. I don't know what's going on with Tran, but you better check the front desk people I was sick wanted to go to him and they said being inside my new patient I gotta wait until September. I called to set up a new patient appointment and asked if they accepted Anthem over the phone. They said yes but then tell me to check it myself to see if he is in the network. Kind of odd because other offices will let us know if they accept it. I been trying to get ahold of them for over 5.5 h ours and was put on hold for almost 40 minutes. My mother-in-law referred me this doctor and two weeks ago I called and left a message. I called three times during the week. No call back and I finally got a call back today. Two weeks after I made my initial call that I had left a voicemail asking to see if I could set up an appointment to come in and see Dr. Tran as my general practitioner.I spoke with Lyndsey in his office today and she said oh yeah we sometimes take several weeks to call people back, but if you have another doctor then that's fine. I told her I was out of the country which I'm currently on vacation, but I will be calling her next week so I can schedule something and she said sure. Leave me a message again and I might take several weeks to call you back. Please read. Appointment was at 1 30pm. Literally makes us wait for an hour until the doctor comes in. I asked the staff in the front. 2 woman. HORRIBLE. The one with the black.hair gives me attitude and says we cant do nothing about it. Seriously? You should first apologize to a patient/customer. I have so much to write about, but while writing this it makes me so angry how they have such bad service. After relocating from Hawaii, my husband and I needed to find a PCP who could handle our medical issues. For months we were hesitant to change from Hawaii physicians to a qualified Las Vegas physician. After looking through our insurance's participating providers list, reading Yelp and BCBS comments and ratings, we decided to make an appointment with Dr. Tran. Making an appointment was quick and easy and the person who handled our call was very pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable and kind. She provided an appointment for the very next week together with my husband. Great first impression! First impression sets the stage for the rest of our visit. On the day of our appointment, location was in a nice, new location, with great access to parking. The office location was clearly identified with Dr. Tran's name - great signage! We were greeted by the office staff as sun as we walked in, asked to complete forms, then quickly called in to take vitals by the nurse. The nurse who took our vitals was awesome, very professional with a nice personality. Entire office and exam rooms were very clean and professional. We were then escorted to the exam room together. Dr Tran entered, sat down to review both our medical history. He took allot of time to understand and get to know the both of us. What we liked was that he explained his way of caring for his patients as a team effort, teaching his patients about their care. He explained things we didn't know, such as what each medication does to you. All these years we took meds without knowing how they worked. He taught us allot in this one appointment. He recommended additional screenings and labs and will evaluate everything at our next appointment. My husband and I feel really good about Dr Tran and staff. We feel comfortable and at ease and are now happy we have a PCP here in Las Vegas. We're going to tell our friends and family about this office. From beginning to end we were treated kindly with respect. read more

DISCLAIMER: THE POOR REVIEW IS A REFLECTION OF THEIR OFFICE MANAGEMENT AND NOT THE COMPETENCE OF THE DOCTOR. Dr. Tran is a VERY competent doctor. Front desk staff and medical assistants have been kind to me in all with my dealings with them, specially during this time. The front desk staff have gone ABOVE AND BEYOND their responsibilities to do what they can. However, the office management is very poor because I have been in constant contact with their billing department and it's like pulling teeth for them to get any response. They are NEGLIGENT in their patient management in that would seriously be a problem for the doctor were there to be some audit. WHAT HAPPENED: The doctor had discussed a procedure he has ordered for me for a specific condition. My claim was denied because the diagnosis that was submitted to my insurance was 1) NOT mentioned or discussed with me at all and 2) was unrelated to the procedure. I understand that the Medical assistant may have clicked and dragged the wrong ICD10 code but I had been trying for months to have them look into my chart and help me rectify this. 3) And if for some reason they did intend to use that diagnosis, I DID NOT GIVE CONSENT to have the procedure done for that reason. I feel bad for the front desk staff as they are expected to act like officer managers while dealing with me -- it's not fair to them, that's not their job. Their office manager is not proactive, not present and doesn't seem to care about the practice. Despite Dr. Tran being an excellent human being and doctor, he SHOULD know what's going on in his office in ALL aspects. The sad thing is that after talking to the staff of their billing department (who is a third party and not on site), they said that I have no choice at this point to go there in person and demand an audience with their office manager. To solve something that could have been done remotely on the phone. I have to now go there and make a scene or do some kind of "occupy wall street" until their office managers shows up. The patient does not need to be the one managing the office and figuring this stuff out. If you go see Dr Tran, please be comforted to know he is a great doctor. If Dr Tran is reading this or his staff is reading this review I have one recommendation: GET A COMPETENT OFFICE MANAGER. read more

First let me qualify myself! I am the product of a Mother who was a Nurse and a Sister who was a Nurse and I have 3 very good Doctor friends! As for my personal experience I am a Retired Fire Captain and Ex-Paramedic with 30 years of street experience in Emergency Medicine! That being said, I have been a patient of Doctor Tran for a couple years now and I love his practice! The staff is very friendly and prompt, I am treated with respect even when I can be a challenging patient! Like they say, "Some of the worst patients are medical personnel!" As for Dr Tran, he is innovative and attentive to my needs & extremely down to earth! No God Complex Here! Doctor Tran will take the time to sit and actually listen to you as a concerned Doctor and promptly answer your questions! If you have anything more than the common cold or the flu run away. He didn't believe my medical conditions were real and when he found out the icd-10 numbers did in fact exist he said "wow man you got some weird shit. I can't treat any of this." I should have run so fast. I have chronic and intractable hemiplegic migraines. I'm now 3 years post partum and he didn't think once to check my hormone levels. Jesus I could have had help so much faster if he wasn't such a completely useless dingbat with half an ounce of sense who does absolutely zero legwork. On October 17th 2022 I had an appointment to see Dr. Tran, I informed him Dr. Estanaslao would be out for 6 Months due to personal reasons, He asked if I needed a refill and I stated colazipam. I also informed him Dr. Estanaslao was filling all my scripts as I was looking for a new family doctor. He said nothing, I also asked him if he read all text directed to him, he replied Yes, I ordered colazipam and his staff turned it down, I then wrote Dr. Tran and his staff replied so at this time I realized all his text is screened by his staff and lied to me about seeing them. I went as far as to mention I talked to the doctor on Monday and he made no mention of not filling the script. He now stands as one of the worse doctors I've had, he will lie to your face, I have three doctors, a specialist at UCLA, one neurologist in Nevada Dr. Estanaslao, and a soon former Family Dr.Dzung Tran. One point I want to make, if Dr. Estanaslao is out who is left to fill my scripts. read more

I have been a long time patient of Dr Tran's but will not be going back. While he states he is an Aetna provider, he bills as non par so our Aetna pays more, we have out of network benefits. He also billed incorrectly, I bill for a living, CMRS and Aetna needs to be informed of these questionable practices. I had brought this up with his former front desk Kelly but, oh well. he also would not refill my prozac during this pandemic, not being able to give me an appointment for over a week, when I had already been out for over a week waiting for them to respond to the pharmacy. read more

Dr Tran is very knowledgeable and open to answer any questions about my health. My husband is very picky about his health care professionals and is very fond of Dr Tran and his bedside manner. He is easy to talk to and I never feel like he is rushing thru our visits with him. One star off because the front office staff is not always the best at returning phone calls. I had a med that was supposed to be filled and Walgreens and I could not get thru to their office to have them fill it which was a pain. I always book the first appt of the day to avoid long wait times and so far they have been prompt with my care. read more

Had a great first experience at Dr Trans office. I was looking for a PCP after moving. The staff was friendly and professional and I was seen promptly. Dr Tran was professional and thorough and has a relaxed, confident demeanor. There's also in-office lab testing which is hugely convenient. What an all-around amazing team in one office! Big shout out to Dr. Tran and Lindsey. They are SUPERB!! I was recommended to this office and so glad I was! I have seen Dr Tran for approximately 25 plus years. I have never had a problem with billing over these years and I think the staff is very friendly. He is an internal medicine specialist which I believe is even more schooling than a MD. He is very compassionate and I will continue to see him until he retires. I even bought a different insurance plan to see him after I was shuffled around by other Drs that quit, didn't care and didn't know my medical history. I visited Dr. Tran for an annual wellness check up. This is a free visit covered by my insurance. Little did I know, I would end up with a $600 lab bill!! This doctor took advantage of me and requested work that was not even required for my age or included in an annual wellness visit. I was CLEAR about what I wanted but he still decided to get extra work done. The total lab bill was $7,000!!! The office was uncooperative with providing an explanation or correcting their mistake. It was a terrible experience that I'm still paying for to this day. It is this type of fraud that results in outrageous healthcare expenses that rise each year. read more

Nice Doctor who seems to care, but his staff is highly incompetent. They recently replaced their front desk person and when I checked in they couldn't stop talking about that person. I don't need to hear that, keep it professional. I asked for a referral to another doctor on a Wednesday - they said they would call me back on Thursday. Friday afternoon comes and I call and must leave a message. I call back the following Tuesday and leave another message. So one week goes by and no call back from staff. Bleh read more

Tran has been my doctor for 9 years his office has gotten real bad and uses young kids to do paperwork they know about our private records they have no medical experience he has his girlfriend and made her manager she has taken over his practice doesn't know what she is doing I brought my wife's paperwork in for her job she asked for $100 she's not allowed to charge culinary workers I insisted to speak to Dr I waited in the waiting room to see him there were no patients there or in the back she called the police on me they went to the back and ask him to talk to me she said no she wanted me out he had the police take me out and ban me from the property or I would be arrested after 9 years what kind of doctor is that he has forgotten his oath as a doctor and has let his manager who is girlfriend take over and run his life be careful he has no staff that knows what they're doing they're all young kids from school shame on you dr. One star for the simple fact that YOU HAVE TO clear 4.5hrs in your schedule due to the fact you'll NEVER be taken back less than an hour after your scheduled appointment time AND even then it'll take another 30/40 mins for him to see you.
