I hired this handyman to repair a closet shelving system that had pulled away from the wall which…read morewas being used for ordinary clothing storage and was not overloaded beyond normal household use. He assured me that the repair, including the anchors he installed, would support the weight of the clothing and items normally stored in the closet. Unfortunately, only about a week after the repair was completed, the entire system failed again and collapsed. The shelving and clothing ended up on the floor, creating a significant mess and forcing us to empty the closet once more. When I contacted him, he stated that the anchors he installed had held and that the real issue was that I needed an entirely new closet system. However, this was not what I was told when the repair was performed. Had I been advised from the outset that the existing system could not be safely supported or that a replacement was necessary, I would have appreciated that honesty and made a different decision. What is most disappointing is that despite the repair failing after only a week, he refused to return and evaluate the situation without charging an additional service fee. I understand that not every repair is guaranteed forever. However, when a repair fails within days and the customer relied on the handyman's representation that it would support the intended load, I believe standing behind the work and at least reassessing the situation is reasonable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service. **UPDATE: With respect to Mike's response, many of the implications are categorically false, namely, that what is remaining of my closet is still usable and "hanging". The anchors screws, and brackets have bent and are misshaped. He also indicated fixed my toilet for "free" when, in fact, he actually exacerbated the issue and spent no more than a minute looking at the toilet and twisting the float and fill valve. So the contention that he was being generous with his time is unfounded. With respect to the text messages he's alluding to, admittedly, he did indicate he did not warranty his work, but also claimed "I'll also say this, I've never hung any shelving in somebody's called me back later and said that it came down". Moreover, "I can tell you that it's gonna go in with anchors at hold 220 pounds each and there's probably gonna be three or four so outside of that hopefully it lasts a long time". That said, given the estimated weight of the closet was no more than 150 pounds, that was less than 35% of its intended total weight, which should've held it without incident. Moreover, it's only been one week as opposed to two since he performed the job Finally, the mere fact that he wouldn't return to audit the job or two provide structured guidance and repair onsite as a gesture of Goodwill is woefully inadequate.

I had an excellent experience with Quantum Floors, and I want to specifically highlight Nick, the…read moremanager, who truly went above and beyond from start to finish. Nick came out to give me an estimate, and right away I was impressed with how knowledgeable and straightforward he was. There was no wishy-washiness about pricing or what was needed -- he explained everything clearly and honestly. I told him I wanted my floors done right after my cabinets were installed, and he made sure to fit me into the schedule. Although Nick wasn't the one physically installing the floors, he closely monitored the entire process. Whenever I had a question or concern, he not only answered quickly but also came out in person to make sure things were handled properly. When the installers discovered mold behind the molding, Nick personally went to Home Depot to get the right materials and treated it for me at no extra cost. He even helped with unrelated issues: when the interior door to my garage became misaligned during the process, Nick got tools, tried to fix it himself, and then explained what I needed to do since the springs were old. On top of that, when another contractor I was working with left me in a tough spot, Nick stepped in to connect me with someone reliable to fix the problem. The floor itself looks beautiful -- the quality of both the flooring and the padding is excellent. But what really makes me recommend Quantum Floors so highly is Nick. He is professional, proactive, and truly cares about his customers. While Quantum might not be the cheapest option compared to big-box or "fly-by-night" places, the honesty, service, and results are worth every penny. She could not have done a better job creating the feeling that we so desperately wanted. We wanted our condo in Palm Aire to feel like we were on vacation. KATIE is a magical decorator. I hired Wendy to oversee redecorating my 1 bedroom condo over the Summer of 2024. It included…read morepaint selection, window treatments carpet, wall unit built in and new furniture . when I arrived in the Fall to supposedly my finished apt I found a disaster. $8000 carpet that was ruined by her installer. $11,000 in window treatments that didn't operate and the apartment which was supposed to be painted completely ---unfinished and a very unprofessional job. These were all contractor's engaged by Wendy that she was responsible for overseeing. But the worst was the $15,000 wall unit that was built in my bedroom where I stressed the importance of my desk area. There was not a single outlet available on that wall to plug in anything so they had to chop up the wall unit so that I could plug in my computer. Wendy was nowhere to be found. While she responded to my emails and texts, she never came back over to the apartment once I arrived to assist in getting any of this resolved. In addition, she attempted to bill me for hours spent looking at furniture before consulting with me. Her "design product" consisted of a bunch of screenshots from Perigold. I immediately fired her and took over the work-- i don't believe Wendy is professionally trained at any level Certainly her care about her clients is lacking. Felt like she would just get away with whatever she could.
