After calling a few pros, we decided to go with Pal Pro pest control because of their honesty and professionalism during inspection. As an engineer, I am very keen to know technical details and the inspector was able to respond to my questions with confidence and a deep understanding of the problems. The treatment that we got at the time involved injection of termite stuff (likely termidor) around perimeter of home into the soil. This involved some drilling and injecting in areas near the perimeter of the foundation. About 1 year after treatment we saw some new subterranean termite activity. We called pal pest pro and they came out under warranty and reassessed the situation. We did some spot treatment but had some discussions about how we thought the problem may be deeper than anticipated. We decided to remove some of our LVP to investigate and we discovered some massive termite activity in our original hardwood flooring that was below the vinyl planks. We decided to remove all of our hardwood flooring and get the areas treated. It was a painful process but our termite team really helped make the treatment part easier. It's been a few months and we haven't seen any new activity. Only time will tell but I feel like we got to the root of the problem! I would recommend this company to my family and friends. They care about solving the problems and will honor their warranty in the event of any future issues. The treatment of subterranean termites is part technical approach, part dark arts and I feel like these guys got it all!

Got responses back from a few places but PAL was the first one which had an opening the following monday for inspection. Dax was knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had and took time to do so where a few other quotes from other companies either seemed hurried or inflated values. Ironically all the companies I got quotes from used the same product so I went with PAL Pro because they took the time to explain the process thoroughly and price was competitive. I was able to make a request with Dax to drill a few extra holes in the area based on other quotes without extra charge since it was centrally located in the same spot. A termite was even expelled due to the product used so proof there was pests to be rid of. Great customer service and fast response time. I got 4 quotes from the yelp project tab.

I think I had to make peace with the fact that when you go with a natural bug spray you are going to get a little less protection, but for me, my family's health is my priority and I can accept the trade off. We still have issue with the earwigs which are known to be hard to get rid off. They also finally take credit card which makes paying the invoice so much easier!

We live on a hill and we had problems with holes around our yard and hill…read more They stated it was gophers and ground squirrels charged us 1200 for a month of service. (Something they set the term on, not us). They stated that if it it wasn't resolved, they would finish the job with extra services. After their first visit, I wanted a refund. He literally poked some holes to poison ONE area of my massive hill and laid 3 black traps I could've bought on Amazon. After a month, we got more holes and now, rabbits (not that that's their fault). Their excuse is that it's not gophers and ground squirrels that are creating these new holes, it's moles. They are adamant that they killed off all the ground squirrels and gophers (when I clearly see the squirrels leave my hill all the time). They said we had a few gophers but maybe hundreds of ground squirrels on their first visit. I highly doubt they cleaned up anything near that number. Plus I bought a trap on Amazon and I'm literally catching rabbits and ground squirrels every other day the first 10 days I had that trap. I look online and everyone says the gopher traps are the best ways to get rid of them, but they set them up and it never got triggered. They blamed our sprinklers (saying it the dirt was too dry) so we spent over 2k getting new sprinklers all around our yard and we still have new holes. They won't refund the money, but are still coming to "treat" our yard when we are still getting holes, EVERYWHERE. And they even admitted they didn't do an area because they thought our kids played there (it's literally a hill with NO fencing or barrier, why would my 1 and 3 year old ever be in that area). And they keep giving us excuses that our yard is big and it's just really hard to control a big area. But our yard didn't get bigger since they first quoted us. Why and how is that a reason? So they still won't refund, they said they would come back to treat it again, yet never came back since the last time I spoke to them over 10 days ago. They say they understand my frustration, they say it's not gophers and ground squirrels, but moles and because they are harmless, they didn't bother treating it?!?! I don't care what is causing the holes, I literally asked them to get rid of whatever it is causing it. Is it my fault that they can't tell the diagnose and treat properly? All I can say is, it's been over 2 months, we are out over $1000 bucks and problem isn't solved. We are currently doing some concrete construction and I think they will get them to scurry away due to the noise than this company's "EXPERT" services. Don't use them. They just want your money, they don't guarantee anything. What I thought was a guarantee was a warranty and the difference is, they just keep coming to your yard but nothing changes.

A technician accidentally left our gate open, but instead of ignoring it, he personally texted me to apologize and took full responsibility. That kind of accountability says a lot about the people they hire and the culture they've built. As for the actual pest control--they do a great job. We rarely see spiders or bugs throughout the year. When summer rolls around and the ants start showing up, they come out and handle it quickly. If the ants get especially bad, they'll even come back for an extra service. Honestly, our biggest ant problem comes from neighboring properties, so that's not something any company can completely control, but they do everything they can to keep it under control. I get pest control companies knocking on my door all the time trying to earn my business, and I never even consider switching. Normally, I like to be present for inspections, but because it didn't work out this time, my wife was there. After several estimates, she settled on Bug Baron for their clear explanation of the treatment, professionalism, and willingness to get their hands dirty and be thorough in locating termite activity. I had The Termite Guy come out since they did the last service over 5 years ago, and they were not as thorough. Not to mention, they focused more on selling me on the company, yet were not willing to do anything that would give me the impression they had identified the issue, so I went with Bug Baron. Simon, my point of contact, is a pro. He was always responsive, willing to answer my questions, and patient in dealing with my schedule. Given that I had received so many estimates, he price matched what i had been quoted. Further adding to the value of them vs the other guys, his warranty was for 5 years, while the others were either 1 or 3 years, and if you wanted a 3-year, you had to pay a pretty penny.
