It took him a lot of extra time and effort to retro fit my old system and he did it perfectly and at a very reasonable cost. He saved me a LOT of money and my updated system is working perfectly. Clarification was further provided that the technician would charge for the hours that they worked for (Initial Estimate was ~5hrs work). Once the work was completed, the back office sent an office for the amount for the whole estimated time even though it took less than half the time (~1.5hrs). When the invoice was received it was a shocker since based on the communication prior to the work it was agreed to be per hour basis. After refutation, the invoice was revised to a lower number but still did not reflect the hours the technician worked. Its been a struggle to ensure alignment - I would not recommend them for any work!

When hardware was available, I received a friendly e-mail for possible scheduling dates. Eric arrived right on time and got right to the job. He used drop clothes to protect floor and counters, cut away bath tiles to access old piping, ran new water feeds to a new, single handle control valve. Installed matching spout, drain, shower and matching decorative trim plate to cover the new control valve. At the end, Eric checked the valve scald setting to endure safety of the new water output. We were shown what he was doing as the project progressed, and he cleaned up all trash to our satisfaction at the end. Eric was here about 5 hours and was totally professional and friendly throughout. We are totally satisfied. Laamco has maintained our old HVAC system for decades, and recently installed a replacement system. They have installed a new water heater as well. We are completely satisfied with the technicians, plumbers and staff at Laamco. We highly recommend them for any heating, cooling or plumbing service or maintenance.

I recently bought a home with forced air heating. I realized as soon as it started to get chilly…read morethat one of the heating vents didn't work. When I went down to the basement I discovered there was a pipe that had come totally disconnected at one of its joints, and as a result I was heating the basement instead of my living room (yikes!). I played around with it a little but was afraid to move anything too much in case I made things worse. Over the last two weeks or so I've called probably 5 or 6 HVAC companies to come and check out what seemed to be (in my 100% unexperienced opinion) a fairly small repair - some were no shows, others claimed to be overbooked, and still others wanted to charge a pretty high fee just to come and take a look. Today I called ServiceRight, and was pleasantly surprised to hear that they'd come out the same day! They do charge $175 to come to the house, but they explained that if the repair was a quick fix then they wouldn't charge any more than that. If it was a longer job they'd waive the $175, but begin to charge by the hour with a minimum of 4 hours. I'd had other companies want to charge a fee to come out and then by the hour on top of that, so this seemed fair (also, I was pretty sure it would be a quick fix). They arrived a few hours later, put everything back together, secured it with screws and tape (which whoever installed the system should have done in the first place), and that was it. Now my living room is nice and toasty. If only I'd called them weeks ago!

After agreeing and asking the question two more times, he responds "before 5pm," effectively the entire day. I think to myself, no big deal--he'll let me know when he's on the way so I can communicate that with the tenant. Flash forward to 3pm when he says he's on his way. I immediately inform the tenant who advises me he had stepped out but would be back in 5-10 minutes. I informed the HVAC technician immediately but he doesn't respond. I eventually call him only to receive an attitude on the other line saying he left the moment he realized no one was home. We argued for a bit until finally my tenant called him and pleaded with him to return over an hour later. Once he actually arrived, he charged me 3 hours of labor (over $800 total) for ~15 min of troubleshooting and a deep clean on the condenser... a task that should've only taken a pro ~45 min. If you value honesty and good communication, this is NOT the company to call. To make matters worse, upon learning of this review, the technician proceeded to harass me via text with all sorts of insults and slurs.
