What an unfortunate place, you'll be much happier at the AMLI property down the street. Property management firm is run by people who behave like loan sharks and debt collectors. Sales / leasing agents will be very nice to you during the leasing process, but live here for a while, and you'll start to uncover the truth.
The faceless management will completely ignore your concerns regarding facilities.
They closed the private pool at the "Villa" to re-surface it, without any real notice except the minimum require 24 hours. Had I know that something I use every day to swim as well as sit in the hot tub to take care of a sore back wouldn't be available to me, I would never have signed up for this place.
They re-painted the entire building a few years ago, and blocked me from using my own patio for upwards of 3 weeks. They did the same thing with the on-site gym, although that was only for a few days.
I pay for these amenities, but I don't get them... and what happened when I brought this up with management? Nothing. Not only did they not respond to my concerns, they were indignant that I complained at all, indicating that there are other facilities I can avail myself of at this property. So I'm just supposed to go sit on a random neighbor's patio? Seriously?
On top of this, their faulty equipment / appliances have resulted in my apartment unit being flooded 3 times in the past 2 years alone. Did I mention the apartment flooded 2 weekends in a row when trying to do laundry, and the third time was because of clogged pipes interconnected with the apartment units upstairs? When I called maintenance, they actually accused me of deliberately breaking the washer because it even flooded down into the garage downstairs.
The dishwasher also broke down. What's their solution? Band aid maintenance to fix it up until it breaks again. They've only had to come in and fix it ~ 4 times since it first broke 6 months ago.
It gets worse when you start talking about money. A friend who is now a former resident, indicated the management would not negotiate for a late rent payment. No phone calls, just legal notices and engagement of an unscrupulous law form who advises illegal practices like denying forms of payment, and hijacking you for legal fees in excess of California state statutes. With this illegal behavior, they extorted my friend out of more than $670, but he was able to get his money back in small claims court. Just unfortunate that he would have to take those steps.
I'm getting out soon myself to go live at the AMLI complex. It's like a resort by comparison.
Avoid this place at all costs unless you like wasting your time and money. You will not get what you pay for here. read more
