California Licensed acupuncturist-Teacher willfully and malicious injured on my left lower arm and Left lower leg on September 6,2018. My nerves injured and I got muscular atrophy on my left wrist, left hand, left leg, left foot. I paid $65 to that female cashier, her age around 60 years, but on that day, she heard my wailing, she asked "why you are crying so loudly?" I said:"Acupuncturist Weilou stabbed a long needle to crossed through my left arm, then he stabbed needle to crossed through my left palm ( from external palm to middle of palm. And Weilou stabbed a big long needle to crossed through my left leg two area." Female cashier lied to me said:" If you did not feel pain, you did not solved your pain symptoms." She gave me a excuses said receipt paper run out. They did not give me the receipt. The acupuncturist Weilou injured my nerves and other tissues. See the pictures, I became a disabled person now.

I've been coming here for over ten years since my friend Jeannie, who was born in China, told me about them. They have a lot of chinese herbs, and I'm talking about the kind that are in the raw form, like roots. They also have a lot of tinctures and interesting candies and foods you can buy. It probably helps that I'm 1/4 chinese, grew up in Hawaii, and am not weirded out by some of the stuff they have in here. Not that I've ever seen anything really gross or weird (no animal parts that I've seen), but it's definitely not the kind of stuff most Americans would consider "normal." Yen, the owner, took over the business from her parents, years ago. She knows all about different kinds of Chinese herbs. I came in here once to try to get some He Shou Wu, which is shown to help reverse graying hair. She gave me a bag of what looked like wood chips, and you're supposed to boil them and drink the liquid. I was too lazy and never got around to it but they did also have the liquid form. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for Chinese herbs.

I've been coming to see Olivia and David for over 10 years and they are both very skilled and gifted acupuncturist!! They also helped my son when he was going through growing pains as a young teenager. They've also helped me with my chronic pain throughout the years , since I was in an accident. They are both very caring, and no up-to-date medical information. David also likes to make a number of herbal tees, tinctures, and solves! I'm so lucky to have found them!! I will continue to visit them and it's always great to get a good nights sleep after my acupuncture and cupping appointment!! I suggest everybody at least check them out!! plus I love their new Sunnyville Office. It's closer for me. Lol they also have an office in Brentwood California in case you're in the East Bay!!

I've been going through IVF treatment and wanted to explore acupuncture. Decided to go with Sage because they specialize in fertility acupuncture. Everyone here exudes positive energy which I love. Having a positive mindset is a big part of improving wellbeing and that's another reason I was quick to sign up with Sage. Ive felt healthier since starting acupuncture. They use really thin and fine needles here, which I barely feel when inserted. And the speed at which Yvette puts them in just shows her experience. It's a bit pricier than other places but I've been really happy with my experience. They also carry supplements and I got a discount through Yvette which was nice. They even ground up Chinese herbal medicine which is awesome. Talk about going the extra mile. I was organizing a wellness retreat and through conversation, Yvette offered to put up my flyer. She put up a super cute setup in the bathroom. Her support in helping spread the word and empowering me to achieve my goal was amazing. I don't think you'll find another acupuncturist with as much experience as Yvette. She has 25 years of experience with multidisciplinary background. She and Iris genuinely care about the wellbeing of their patients and you'll be in great hands.

There was no one at the desk at first, but one of the acupuncturists soon came out and checked me in. She showed me where the restrooms were, asked me to take a seat and said my acupuncturist would soon be with me. My acupuncturist asked me some health questions in the private room where I was to have my treatment. She listened and didn't dismiss anything I said like my regular doctor often does. Then she explained where she would be inserting the needles and why. She also went into detail about what I could expect during the session, which I appreciated. Most of the needle insertions were painless, but a few hurt a bit. The pain went away quickly. The acupuncturist turned out the lights and left the room as I laid on my back on the table with the needles in me. I couldn't feel them as long as I didn't move. I'm not sure how long I laid there, but it was very warm and relaxing with gentle music playing. I almost fell asleep. I had a button I could press if I needed help and the acupuncturist checked on me a couple times. She removed the needles and then had me rollover on to my stomach for cupping on my upper back to help with pain relief in my neck and shoulders. After the session my migraine was gone and my neck and shoulder pain had decreased. I made several more appointments and look forward to them.

I had sticker shock for sure-the plan I was offered was a package that is paid up front without insurance (and then, when it's complete, I can submit for reimbursement). The program includes spinal decompression, lumbar flexion, e-stim, hot laser treatment, and chiropractic adjustments, several times a week. To be clear, that may not be everyone's path for treatment--I got the impression that a fair amount of people had more traditional treatment plans. I took the leap, and I'm grateful I did. Eight weeks later, my pain is resolved. In addition to the skill and effectiveness of the treatment, I also want to shout out the whole team for their kindness, warmth and friendliness. When I was feeling so worn down by the pain, it was quite lovely to have these kind people greeting me by name, welcoming me, tending me to my comfort.

I had a very disappointing and stressful experience with the front desk person at this office…read more The issue started with poor communication around billing. I was initially told that my copay would be $30 for Dr. Helen and $20 for Dr. Deanne, and that my insurance had been checked. About a month later, I found out through my insurance that I was actually responsible for 30% of the bill. When I brought this up, the front desk person first denied saying that, and later offered to settle the account based on the $30 copay amount. However, there was no apology or clear explanation for the confusion. We had also discussed that the 4/30 bill would be handled later once I received the insurance check, since my card had already been charged the full $150 for that visit. Yesterday, when I tried to bring this up again, the front desk person would not let me explain and kept insisting that my bills had already been taken care of. She also said she does not handle billing, but did not clearly explain who does or who I should contact. What made the experience worse was the attitude. When I tried to understand who handles billing, bookings, and patient communication, she responded defensively and said, "Oh, now you are saying I don't do anything," which was not what I said. I was simply trying to understand who was responsible for what, especially since she had said she does not handle billing or appointments for all doctors. The most upsetting part was being personally insulted and called a "sad person who makes other people sad." That is completely inappropriate in any service environment, especially in a healthcare or wellness practice where patients come for care and support. This was not the first time she referred to me as a "sad person," and it felt dismissive and disrespectful, especially as someone coming in with severe shoulder pain and trying to resolve basic billing and appointment issues. The communication around appointments was also frustrating. When I switched to Dr. Deanne and asked how to book with her, I was told to check online with no clear guidance. After asking again, I was eventually sent a link by text, but only after being told, "I don't handle her appointments." Yesterday, I checked in and sat in the doctor's office for several minutes, but the doctor was not informed. I had to go back and ask twice, and the front desk person clearly seemed upset about it. The last two months of dealing with this front desk experience have been extremely frustrating. Patients deserve clear communication, patience, and basic respect when trying to resolve billing and appointment issues especially when it's caused by the provider . Overall, this experience fell far short of the level of professionalism and respect patients deserve

AMAZING CARE - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!…read more I began visiting Thriving Chiropractic about 4 months into an awful battle with frozen shoulder. At that point, I'd already been doing physical therapy for several months, as well as having a steroid injection. I wanted to "throw the kitchen sink" at the shoulder to help recover as quickly as I could. Thriving Chiropractic offered me both chiropractic care with Dr. Helen and acupuncture with Dr. Christina. I took one appointment each week with both, in addition to my physical therapy visits twice a week. Dr. Helen and Dr. Christina were both excellent in helping speed my recovery! After "just 7 months" (which is exceptionally fast in the land of frozen shoulders where 1 year to 2 years is more typical) I've recovered 95-100% of my shoulder range of motion and I'm on track as I work towards patiently recovering my strength. I want to give extra praise to Dr. Helen for doing an incredible job understanding and assessing my condition each week, providing a range of care modalities to help my healing, and providing me "homework" to complement what I was doing with my PT. In addition, she's just a super friendly person who takes an interest in your life outside of your injury and I found her incredibly pleasant to talk to during treatment. Dr. Helen truly has an exceptional, holistic approach to care - she completely defies the stereotype of chiropractors simply "cracking joints." Every time you leave her care, you leave feeling great. Dr. Christina was also very professional and caring. I'd never had acupuncture treatment before and she was very gentle and careful to ask about my comfort during and after the treatment. Due to the nature of acupuncture (you spend a long time sitting with the needles in quiet solitude), my interactions with her were less so than with Dr. Helen. But I felt confident in her care and would go back if ever I had the need. Front office staff were always very friendly and welcoming, too. Thank you all for being so wonderful!
