I rarely leave negative reviews, and what makes this especially disappointing is that I once gave E. Garrity a 5-star review. At the time, I trusted the company and continued using them for several years after purchasing my home. Over time, however, I began to question the pricing of the services I was receiving. Recently, I hired another professional who reviewed my system and informed me that I had been paying for "water softening" services despite not having a water softening system installed. That discovery caused me to take a much closer look at the services and costs I had been paying for over the years. My most recent interaction was the final straw. I called simply to ask about the cost of replacing the UV filter bulb and replenishing the calcite/neutralizer media. Rather than receiving a straightforward answer, the representative repeatedly spoke to me in a condescending manner, saying, "Let me explain your service and how we work." I was not asking how the company operates. I was trying to determine what the total cost would be and what I had paid previously, since I did not have my old invoice in front of me. Despite asking several times, I never received a clear answer regarding my prior charges or what my expected total cost would be. Instead, I was repeatedly told that the bulb cost over $200 plus additional service charges. When I eventually stated that I would probably use another company, the response I received was simply, "That's fine." Customer service matters. Transparency matters. Respectful communication matters. Unfortunately, based on my experiences over the last several years, I can no longer recommend this company. While they may have provided excellent service in the past, my experience has been one of inflated costs, poor communication, and a lack of transparency. I called Evan at E. Garrity Water Solutions recently following an issue at my home this past weekend. The part needed was not a standard size, and I was having trouble finding a replacement. He not only had the part in stock, but sent two of his technicians, Jaisun and Yama, to my home promptly. They quickly removed the old part, and they installed the new one relatively quickly. This company serviced my well and radon removal system for more than 10 years. An inspection co. hired them to test my well. According to 2 experts, they did an incorrect test on my well and made false claims regarding its immediate viability (wrongly told a prospective buyer the well was dry). A real test by an expert showed the well is in great shape with 60+ years capacity. When confronted, this company's owner said he has 100,000 customers and he doesn't give a "sh!/" about my property. read more

The techs need additional training. We ended up with a leak in our system due to their error during a routine annual maintenance of the system. We had to hire a contractor to remove sheetrock and replace a beam due to the water damage. We gave them another chance and there was another leak due to how they installed the Reverse Osmosis System. They didn't charge me for the service but had the nerve to drop me as a customer because I expressed my unhappiness with their technicians. It was fine because I was not planning on using them ever again but they should have handled it differently. I would not refer them. I signed a contract in April 2020 to dig a new well as a condition of sale with buyers on a house we were selling. Obviously, Covid was a difficult time with lots of interrupted supply chain issues. I was very understanding as the job dragged on through May, June, and August. (We had been told a few weeks) Then our buyers pulled out over the lack of progress on the well. In August 2020, Garrity stopped responding and abandoned the job. I reached several times out but never heard from them for 6 months. In March 2021, I finally contacted them to ask them to remove all the well equipment and tubing from our property. At that point, I got some very weird late-night text messages saying I was sad and rude. I spoke to their office manager and they did finally remove tubing. I thought it was over. But then yesterday, they just sent me a bill for the entire cost of the job they never completed and then abandoned. Clearly, I need to get a lawyer involved. Very disappointed. read more

The technicians replaced my well pump and I was impressed by the fact that they were courteous and professional. In addition, they also pointed out that my pipes were old and suggested that I also replace those old pipes. Two months later, I noticed a gurgling sound and a spot of water bubbling in my front lawn. I called the number and the person answering the phone just explained to me over the phone how to reset the timer on my water softener and the gurgling spot on my lawn was just the discharge from my water softener cleaning itself - a process I would not normally notice but the timer was out of whack. I called E Garrity and made an appointment for them to come to my house. They said the time would be from 1-3pm. So I re-arrange my whole work schedule and I wait until 3:15pm to call and ask if anyone is still coming so that I can finally stop waiting.
