Eugene Kuperman is a genius, historian, craftsman and an honest man. His shop is crowded and strewn with all things clock all over the place when you enter. He really knows his clocks and as a European trained craftsman he knows his stuff. He is repairing a mantle clock which with just one look he told me what year and location it was made. If you have any clock issues, he is the man to call. He will advise you on what repair to do without even the slightest form of pressure to agree to any work. I'm writing this review to help inform other potential customers what could happen to them... I paid $400 to get my old mantle clock working again... after 4 months the clock is still not working properly. It runs very fast even after being trained on how to adjust the speed, and it only chimes 4 minutes after the hour, and the hour hand is not in alignment when it's at the beginning of the hour. At the same time I brought in a wall clock to be adjusted for $100 so that both hands were in place, and that it would chime on the hour. 4 months later it has the exact same issues. He said it was a "Cheap Chinese Import" that wasn't fixable and he was only able to clean and oil it. It stated clearly on the claim ticket at the time of dropping both clocks off, what issues would be repaired. If he wasn't able to fix my clocks, then he should have told me while he found out and offer a partial refund. Instead, he said nothing and collected the balance of the repair job.... So $500 and 4 months later I still have 2 clocks that don't work properly. read more

(Also goes by the name Antique Restoration). I gave Eugene, of EK Clocks, two of my vintage watches to repair. An Omega and a Longines. They told me that the repairs would be less than $100/each... and if it was going to cost any more than that, they would call me. Fast-forward months later with no contact, I called to ask "what's going on"? He tells me that they'll be ready next week. When next week arrives he tells me it'll be almost $300.00 total. I remind him that we agreed if it was going to be more than $100/each... he was going to call me... to decide whether I wanted to have them repaired. At this point instead of saying "Oh, I'm so sorry... yes, I should have called you..." he yells at me, for not keeping his word and uses a racial slur! I'm done with him. I have picked-up my watches, and that's the the last time I will do business with Eugene or EK Clocks. read more

I didn't realize how hard it was to find some local watch repair shop to change the battery on my Burberry watch. I guess the local retail stores don't change the batteries anymore. I am glad I found EK Clocks because I had gone in with no appointment and my battery was changed in less than 20 minutes. I was charged only $12 for a battery change and I thought that was very cheap because the Burberry watch had very small tiny screws and took a while to remove. read more

WONDERFUL!!! I had a mantle clock (a wedding gift, so it was very sentimental!) that was not working. Dropped it off on Monday & it was ready BY THURSDAY!! The gentleman who fixed it (I apologize, but I forgot his name) was so very friendly and professional. We recently had our 36 year old grandfather clock rebuilt/repaired by E.K. Clocks by Eugene. Our grandfather clock now chimes once again and is keeping excellent time and is precise. It is so nice to have the sound of the chimes on our grandfather clock! We also had an Omega Constellation men's wristwatch from the 1970's repaired because it was no longer working because it had been dropped on a cement floor and the hands of the wristwatch fell off. Eugene did wonderful work and the wristwatch is keeping perfect time. Eugene is an expert craftsmen at watch and clock repair! I've been having problems with my watch for a long time. It would stop and start on and off all the time. I brought it to some places along Jewelers Row but they never fixed the problem, it was always temporary. I decided to give EK Clocks a try when I was driving by. Eugene told me he could fix it "no problem". He repaired it and even fixed the loose clasp that I didn't even mention! Now it doesn't stop and start anymore, it just runs like it's supposed to.
