Milan was very professional, courteous, and helpful getting me set up with a 5x5. Very nice person. To make your application and sign up process go a little smoother, check with your insurance company before you show up to see if they cover your personal and or business property that will be in your storage unit. Public Storage requires that you have insurance for your stored property. There is a list of questions you may want to ask your insurance company about your coverage so that you can make an educated decision about whether your coverage will be as good as the coverage (Orange Door Storage Insurance Program) that is offered at this facility. Here's the list... https://www.orangedoorstorageinsurance.com/links-and-faqs Orange Door Insurance rates are $11 per month for $3000, $13 for $4000, and $15 for $5000 coverage. To make your sign up process go quicker, you can select the Orange Door policy when you sign up. If you decide that your insurance is as good, you can cancel the Orange Door policy pretty easily. You'll also need a specific lock that fits the door. They sell two types of locks (disk or cylinder) depending on which type of door your unit has. I needed a cylinder lock and they sell them for $20 at the facility. I saw some used Public Storage locks on eBay for $5 to $10 without shipping so you might save a few bucks if you have the foresight to order one ahead of time. If you're short on time, you can just buy one from Public Storage. You'll know it's what you need and it fits! It is ridiculous. It's such a bummer that we had to get rid of so much furniture and other items because they were pooped/peed on or chewed through. You're basically paying for your stuff to get trashed. NOT worth it!! If you absolutely need to go with this place, make sure to secure your things very well (no open boxes, bags, or furniture). This is a secure gated facility with an in house manager living in the upper level of the office area. This affordable mini storage has at least more than 500 ground level units with different sizes starting from 6'X6' to 16'X42' depending on your needs. They have easy accessability to the units with the wide driveways to be able to unload or move out your stuff! I've also submitted an inquiry online and no response to that either. Only reason I haven't moved out is because I don't have the man power to move all my stuff all over but as soon as I do I am leaving this facility and never looking back. I asked for an extension to get the items out until the elevator was repaired. nope. you get some extra carts and you can walk 50 yards to the next elevator. yeah. that's a no for me dog. so i left a dresser and couple kids toys in the unit and think that's it. Basically they called my cell phone probably 25 times and my office number another 25 plus times in what can only be described as harassment. THEN they contact the storage auction company and get my account suspended. Just an absolute abomination. By far the worst experience with any facility yet. Went to pick up the U-Haul truck I rented it had an 8th of a tank in there making me spend time to…read morego to a gas station to fill up instead of being able to just start on my move. Not knowing how much MPH the truck takes I filled to 3/4 of a tank and only used 1/4 (so left a half of tank). I gave a call to customer service and they won't reimburse for gas so I spent an extra $60 and the extra miles to get to a gas at a station that I won't be getting back! They said basically said it sucks to suck. So all in all the conveniency is terrible! Personally I think the truck should be filled before anybody rents out a truck so you exactly how much gas to put so the customer doesn't get ripped off!
