I was undecided about whether to replace the 3 glass blocks with issues or the replace entire window. Glass Block Factory made an on-site visit to assess the window itself and the inside and outside area around the window. Since the window was above an unpaved gangway and on the second-floor scaffolding was necessary for the job. Glass Block Factory provided estimates to replace just the 3 blocks and to replace the entire glass block window. The pros and cons of each option was explained with no pressure. Since the window was 20 years old and there were some grout issues with other glass blocks in the window, I decided to replace the entire window. On the scheduled date, the team arrived. Scaffolding was setup outside the window. Drop cloths were placed inside to contain the debris. The removal of the original window and the installation of the new window was done with skill and efficiency. Work areas were cleaned up prior to their departure. I would recommend Glass Block Factory for glass block window replacement.

I placed an order for 16 windows on 2/17/25 including two decorative picture windows. Window…read moreinstallation took place on 6/2/25 but was only informed two days prior that the decorative windows were unavailable. Air-Tite said their vendor didn't inform them ahead of time, and was told that they would find an alternate design. The alternate design was provided and accepted by me on 6/18. I was told the order would be placed the following week, and I would be kept up to date "every step of the way." Not hearing anything almost two months later, I followed up on 8/5, and was told they would check and get back to me the next day. After not getting a response, I followed up again. In the follow-up conversation, Air-Tite indicated the windows should arrive in September. After no updates again, I called on 9/25 and was told the windows were due to arrive on 10/2 or 10/3, and that I would receive a call. Again, not hearing anything, I called on 10/4. Air-Tite responded that they believed the windows may have arrived and would get back to me on 10/7. 10/7 came and wentt without a response. Windows were finally installed on 10/30. It took 8 months from my initial order and over 4 months from the alternate window order for completion. At the end of the day I am satisfied with the quality of work, cost, and windows themselves. I also understand custom windows can take time, and am sympathetic if Air-Tite's vendor didn't communicate clear time frames, but I cannot understand the constant lack of timely follow up.
