Cleaning rain gutters is not a task that I can say has been an aspiration of mine. However, I have a neighbor with huge trees that constantly shed leaves and related debris, and years of neglect had turned my gutters into a series of self-contained terrariums that stopped much of the rainwater from flowing through. I'm so glad I connected with this company through the Yelp Project feature. Agreeing upon what I thought was a reasonable estimate, I was able to have two skilled workers come over within my desired timeframe and finished the work within two hours. Not only did they clean the gutters, but they: -- Removed errant branches from my rooftop. -- Replaced the lost guard cover of a section of the gutter. -- Repaired the a ventilation pipe that was sometimes letting rain in above the kitchen. The workers proactively elicited my feedback throughout the job and completed all this within the initial cost estimate. I thought it would take a lot longer, but they managed to be efficient and thorough. After reading reviews and asking neighbors for recommendations, I contacted E-Z Rain Gutters. Kijana scheduled for an estimator to come out and look at what I needed, Amir (who is the business owner) arrived at the scheduled date/time and together we walked my property, me telling him what I needed. He took photos and measurements and by the next business day, I had a written estimate. We agreed on the estimate and Freddy and his 2 man team arrived on the agreed install date/time and performed a perfect install. The truck was properly labeled, and the crew was respectful of the property and Freddy was even able to find a work around (to a damaged area, done by another trade) which ended up saving me $100 off the final bill. Called and texted and left a message. They called back!!! Made an appointment. They came when they said they would!!! Asked them to do a thorough job and the technician and I discussed the potential problems with working in wet vs dry. I'd rather be safe and have a thorough job done when he could wear a harness on our Spanish tile, so we agreed to reschedule. They were able to return the next afternoon because someone canceled on the rain day and now you could eat off my roof, out of our gutters, and off our walkways. These guys cleaned up all the mess and took it away!! Others blew it off onto the shrubs so we had to pick it all up later--thats why I tried EZ. So glad I did! E-Z Raingutters installed all new rain gutters for my house in Mar. 2022 & did an excellent job. In Nov. 2023, I had E-Z Raingutters out to clean my gutters for the first time. Matteo & Paola first cleared any loose leaves out of the gutters. Then they used their own, extra long water hose to wash down gutters, check for proper drainage & downspout water flow. I have used two other gutter cleaning companies before, & E-Z Raingutters was definitely the best of the three. Very professional job. We did some house remodel work which messed up some of the routing existing gutter downspouts. So after talking with several vendors EZ Rain Gutter offered to come out and do the work based upon time & material and it was awesome. Two guys (Manuel was one) were nice, knowledgable and quick. My gutters were fine, but getting some leaves in them. I called ez rain gutters to get an estimate for their gutters that block leaves. The guy that arrived was friendly. Then took about over an hour to go around my house on his ladder and get me an estimate. The extended time he took to measure was odd. Then I got hit with a surprise gigantic estimate that was supposedly "discounted" and would only be good if I made a decision on the spot. Because I hate car salesmen tactics I immediately said no thank you and ran for the hills. Suddenly when I said no, the man's price changed to several thousands of dollars below his original "good faith estimate." I still didn't trust him so I said no thanks. Now several months later it's raining and my gutters which used to work fine are coincidentally punctured on several areas all around my house when they used to be fine. Excellent business. Got back to me within 24 hours and within a few days of that replaced 35 feet of gutter along the front of the house. Installed gutter guards and two new downspouts as well. The installers were very professional and worked with me on figuring out how to keep the rafter tails and achieve enough pitch for drainage. (They did have to trim a few of the tails but left enough material so it didn't take away from the Craftsman look). Unfortunately they didn't have the right color for the downspouts so they installed white primed (we needed brown). But they kindly took my offer of reducing the price a little since I would have to do the painting. Highly highly recommend. read more

These guys were great. We're having a baby in a few months, so we're in major nesting mode and doing a ton of work on our house at once. We got new windows, which means we need to paint the exterior, which means we needed new gutters. But we couldn't schedule the painter or the gutters until we knew when the windows were going to be installed, which we didn't know until the last minute. Anyway, the schedule ended up getting really tight, so we had less than two weeks to get gutter estimates and get them installed. We called 4 or 5 companies and E-Z was the only place that called us back immediately. We actually had to call the other companies multiple times and we only got a call back from one other company, which ended up being much more expensive. E-Z came out right away to give us an estimate and promised they could do the whole job in one day any time we were ready. And they weren't lying! I signed their contract on a Thursday and the following Monday at 7:30 am, they were manufacturing the new gutters on a truck right in front of my house. The new gutters were installed before the end of the day. The new gutters look fantastic AND they were super speedy. I couldn't have asked for anything more. I'm a contractor in the Montclair area of Oakland, I started my business in 1993 and up until about 7 or 8 years ago used to do residential roofing before focusing only on cedar sidewall shingling. I've called on EZ Rain Gutter for services on and off over the years going back to the mid-1990's. Two years ago they came and replaced all the seamless aluminum gutters on my own house on which I was doing the shingle siding at the time. They did a great job on my house as they have on many of my clients homes in years past. Only problem are all the trees here as I still have to clean our gutters between 4-6 times/year! Recently I called on them to do a few more jobs for me - one for house in Piedmont I recently finished some shingle siding on and another project I recently finished in the Elmwood area of Berkeley. They took care of it when they said they would, I'm happy, my clients are happy. Another bonus which I took advantage of for the Piedmont job was the availability of lots of different colors. Our house had some old, decaying gutters that were in dire need of replacement. In one section they were leaking inside the wall of our living room. Not good. We called 3 different companies, but ultimately settled on Steve and EZ Rain Gutters. I spent a fair amount of time with him on the phone where he answered all of my questions and explained how he could fix my "gutters dumping water inside my wall" problem. He was clearly the most knowledgable of the companies we received quotes from. Their quote was also the lowest. On the day of the job, his team arrived on time were pulling our old gutters down in no time. A few short hours later, our new shiny new gutters were installed and looked fantastic. They also did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves and hauling away the old gutters. I would not have known they were there if I didn't seem the arrive in the morning. However, I noticed a small section at the front of our house that still had our old gutters. I called Steve to address the situation and it turned out we had a miscoummunication regarding the scope of work. No problem though. Steve sent his team back out and replaced little section in about an hour. Overall, I couldn't be happier with EZ Rain Gutters and the service they provided me. My gutters look and work exactly as they should, and I no longer have water pouring in to my wall. When I go to replace the gutters on my garage in a couple of months, I will not have 3 people coming out.
