CertainTeed Landmark PRO Solaris shingles, O'Hagin Fire&Ice vents, black seamless aluminum gutters, and black downspouts
    William W.

Pacific Coast Roofing Service is probably as good as it gets for getting your roof and gutters replaced. This is a once in a lifetime kind of thing (at least for my current house) so there is great incentive to get it done right the first time. This is why I ONLY got quotes (6) from highly rated (no less than 4.8 stars) roofing companies. Pacific Coast Roofing Service (5 stars!) was very competitive on pricing and most importantly, worked with me on what I wanted. Brian was great and answered all of my stupid questions (well over 50+ emails) promptly. Johnny, the foreman, consulted with me before deviating on anything we previously discussed and kept me in the loop during the whole job. I had a few nitpicks and they came back the next day and addressed everything. I specified CertainTeed Landmark PRO Solaris shingles, O'Hagin Fire&Ice vents (per my insurance), black seamless aluminum gutters, and black downspouts - no problem at all for these guys. I would highly recommend Pacific Coast Roofing Service for your new roof and gutters!

Hello all, I stumbled across this company doing a roof and watched the crew handle and do a amazing job, so I asked for a business card and did a little research and found that they were a great company. I needed a roof so i reached out to them and spoke with Brian and the rest was history, his crew were professional, quick and should up right on time. Very competitive to pricing! And to find out they have done a couple of my friends roofs as well. 5 star all the way!

So happy we got our roof done. Day 1 was removing dry rot. Day 2 & 3 - completed roof. Very organized and crew worked so hard. before & after pics taken. Brian was quick to respond by email. Johnny promptly returned to fix gutter position. Thank you to all the staff at Pacific Coast Roofing Service!!

When my home trapping…read moreefforts were unsuccessful in capturing much of what had become a large infestation, I contacted four companies to inspect and provide quotes. One company provided a $17K quote excluding replacing the attic insulation and refused to do the project unless I paid for a concrete rat slab install. This was our first issue of this type after 20 years in the house and I did not see a need for a concrete rat slab. The other three companies were more price competitive. I thought Sean provided the best inspection presentation and discussion, explaining considerations, answering my questions and working on a plan for long-term resolution of the problem while managing to a reasonable cost. I selected Mr. Attic for the job and Sean and Rachel proved to be good communicators and project managers. We had them clean out and rodent proof our attic as well, even though there was no recent sign of rat activity there. There was significant damage to HVAC ducts under the house which Mr. Attic cleaned, repaired, and replaced as was needed, and we also had them replace the insulation in the attic. Our total project cost was one-third of the "slab required" company even with attic insulation added. The crew that did the work was professional in their actions while working throughout our house and did a great job clearing out all the old materials in the crawlspace and attic. They rodent proofed the attic, crawlspace, and even our garage to close off any points of entry. We believe their HVAC duct work and attic insulation has benefited our household climate control and reduced energy usage. We just hit the two year mark since the last rats were captured and there has not been a single reoccurrence. I was very pleased with the work done by Mr. Attic and have recommended their service many times to others experiencing rodent infestations.

A few days after we met and I signed the contract, the team came out to remove old roof debris left over from a recent reroofing, removed our home's original insulation, and installed fresh batt insulation in both the attic and crawlspace. They also added rodent proofing throughout the attic while they were at it. About a month later we heard critter noises, so I texted them and they came out to inspect. He didn't find anything in the traps but reset them to be safe. Sure enough, something took the bait because we heard it go off! Jose came back shortly after and discovered 2 mice (thankfully no rats), found a gap where the roof met the garage and sealed it up. He ran an ozone generator as a precaution for any smells. A couple weeks after that we heard faint sounds again. Jose returned, found one more entry point, sealed it, and since then there's been total silence! I really appreciated how thorough and persistent they were even after the job was technically done. Solid team, fair price, and they stand behind their work. Highly recommend Attic Kings!

Not only did Attic King give me the best bid, they went way above and beyond to coordinate the work with me, as I live out of the area. The communication was always prompt, and all my questions were answered with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. On the first day the crew worked an extremely long day removing all the old insulation and ducting, completely cleaning and sanitizing the attic, and installing all new ducting. They sealed every entry point they could find where rodents were getting into the attic . Then they laid traps and waited several days to come back and make sure no more rodents were getting in before they blew in the new insulation. Throughout the entire job, their representative Ofek kept me informed of progress and included pictures at each stage of the job. In an era when Customer Service seems to be a dying art, it's nice to know there's a company that puts the customer first and backs it with excellent workmanship. I could not recommend them more highly!

There has been this persistent smell of rodent urine in one of our closets for literally decades, no matter what we have done. Not any more! I could not recommend Rywen Insulation more highly for rodent control work. We've had rodent control people here before, but never at the level that Rywen takes things to. They put in place genuine long-term preventative measures to keep rats and mice out, not just patching holes. And that has made all the difference. No more smell in our under-the-stairs closet! And, I'm not sure if it is always a part of their service, but they offered us a one-year warranty. Rats and mice did return --- probably due to a contractor leaving our crawlspace door open overnight with the lights on, several times (oops). But Rywen took care of the problem immediately, no questions asked and no additional money requested, for the entire year of the warranty. They aren't cheap. But they are soooo worth it.

I would say, they did an excellent job - Starting with Jeremy, who accommodated my schedule for preliminary inspect and gave me a on the spot quote. Elder and the guys did an excellent job in covering up the entire house and finished the job in 2 days. My house had no insulation in the walls- to very less in the attic. After the insulation my Heat as well as Cold is retained inside the house. Heat turns on once in a 24 Hr cycle vs multiple times in an hour previously. I was initially impressed with what seemed like a thorough and well-considered estimate. It felt…read morelike the team really evaluated my attic and cooling needs. The addition of two QuietCool fans also seemed like a major plus, as I was already familiar with the product and expected it would significantly help with cooling. When it came to the insulation work, I was very pleased. The crew did an excellent job removing the old insulation and installing the new. They worked efficiently, protected my floors well, and ensured that no insulation debris entered the living areas. That part of the job was handled professionally. However, I was less impressed with the radiant barrier installation. This may partly be due to a misunderstanding on my end, as I expected a different type of material, but the end result did not meet my expectations. The biggest issue, unfortunately, was the installation of the fans. At best, it was very poorly executed. The fans are 16" units with 12" duct openings, yet they were installed directly against the gables, which severely restricts airflow. Proper installation should have included a box or shroud to help direct airflow effectively through the fans. Because of this poor airflow, the fans do not cool the attic--in fact, they appear to make things worse. I can actually watch the temperature on the thermostat increase when the fans are turned on. I reached out to my representative multiple times, but the response was disappointing. I was told they could not take the fans back, and when I asked why the attic temperature increases when they are running, I was told there was no explanation and nothing further could be done. As temperatures continue to rise, I'm left frustrated that I spent $1,200 on two fans that perform the opposite of what was promised, with no meaningful support or resolution offered. UPDATE: After posting my initial review, I was contacted by both the project manager and the owner. I reiterated the reasons for my frustration, explaining that my review reflected my honest impression of what I saw as a lack of clear communication and effective management of the project and customer expectations. The project manager apologized for the communication breakdown and asked if I would be open to giving them an opportunity to make things right. A technician was then sent out, and he took the time to fully understand the issue, carefully examine the installation, and make several adjustments to the original work. He believes these changes will help improve airflow in the attic. Since my attic has some unique characteristics, he also provided helpful suggestions for additional ways to improve cooling and airflow--something I feel should have been addressed during the initial planning stage of the project. Whether these changes will result in significant improvement remains to be seen; I'll have a better sense once the weather warms up. I do appreciate the follow-up and the willingness of the project manager to reach out and try to make things right, and I have updated my review accordingly. That said, I want to be clear that the increase in my rating is largely due to the technician and the time he invested in evaluating the full situation, as well as both implementing and proposing thoughtful solutions.

But even after cleaning it out, the smell wasn't going away. Then the vent started giving off either smoke or steam, and in a panic I immediately turned off the dryer. Thank God I didn't start a dryer fire. The second I shut it off and made sure everything was ok, I opened Yelp and searched for a dryer vent cleaner. Chris's Insulation came up, he had great ratings, he was super close by, so after calling a different service and going to voicemail, I called Chris. Chris picked up after the second ring. When I told him that I needed someone to clean our dryer vent and what had happened, he said he could come out either between 5:00 and 6:00 pm that evening or the next day. It was already mid-afternoon when I called, so I was surprised to hear him say he could still come out same-day, but I decided to have him do that since I was free and also still a little shaky following what happened with the vent either smoking or steaming. Chris showed up during the window he quoted and wasted no time getting to work. He started the second he arrived and was done within the hour. His pricing was incredibly reasonable and fair and so far, in the couple of weeks since he was here, we've had no issues with the dryer. Before he left, he also sent us a ton of pictures of what the vent looked like post-cleaning. Super happy and relieved.

In the back of my mind, I've been stressing that the sawdust and debris could be creating a fire hazard. He came out to our house (in Sac) the next morning, suited up and spent about 15 minutes getting pictures and measurements of the attic. The quote was nearly $3,000 less and he was able to do the job the very next day. The team came by the next morning while we were gone and removed all of the debris and old insulation, vacuumed/sanitized, rodent proofed and air sealed the entire attic, cleaned out our dryer vent (for free), and replaced all of the insulation, including around our skylights. There is zero evidence that their crew was even here - the garage is spotless and the attic looks amazing. I am so relieved that we found someone so fantastic and that our job is finally taken care of.
