Pacific Coast Roofing did an excellent job replacing our roof. We also had 2 skylights installed and 3 sun tubes put in. The carpenters were very careful in the installations, they sectioned off the area under the skylights and sun tubes with plastic so the dust and debris did not get into our furniture or floor. The walls of the skylights were textured, primed and painted. The roofers completed the roof in one day. They were careful not to break any plants and they cleaned up the yard and surrounding area. They left it cleaner than they found it because in addition to picking up roof debris, they also cleaned up leaf litter. I was planning on sweeping up the patio the day before they came, decided to put it off till after they left, but when I went out the next day it was all gone, spotless. Great experience again with Pacific Coast staff and crew. Had my house reroofed and solar panels removed and installed in one day along with five solar tubes. Communication was excellent during the whole process. Pricing was competitive and the quality of work is fantastic. They paid attention to little things like the color of the flashing the any areas that may have had dry rot were repaired. I also appreciate that they showed up on time and we're very clean. Would have completed the job all in one day, but another unfinished job took away 4 of their 14-person crew away, so there were 2 hours left to finish on a second day. Very good clean-up at end of first (main) day, as well as after the partial second day. I read through a number of reviews prior to deciding on Pacific Coast Roofing. I'm very glad I did. I contacted PCR and promptly received a reply from Brian Palkowski. His email was thorough and laid out the process for the new roof both clearly and concisely. A representative came to my property shortly thereafter and provided a quote. I paid a deposit, and within about a month my project was scheduled. The PCR team arrived promptly on the assigned day, and I was astounded they were able to complete the job on the same day. My roof is approximately 1725 sqf. We had a kitchen skylight, the age of which unknown, but it was old, cracked, and showing interior condensation. Brian recommended it be replaced. As a non-standard size it had to be custom made. Process for the replacement took about three weeks. Again, the team came out and installed within a two hour time frame. Add another 5 star review. Back in 2022 I asked them for estimate, which they provided quickly after a visit; we decided not replace our roof. Fast-forward to a few months ago, I contacted them again, and they quickly revised the estimate (a small increase, def. no inflation sticker-shock there). Excellent, responsive communication with Brian. We have solar panels that needed to be removed and went with an installer they've worked with in the past. (They were fine- some supplies came late, which were needed to install before placing the shingles). When they arrived, so many trucks and people were there- I haven't felt this important since our wedding! I told them we'd be very sad if our newish flagstones got damaged with a truck on them. They laid down thick plywood to distribute the load of their truck's rear tires and were gone pretty quickly after removing the old roof. I had to step out for few hours, and when I came back, we had a brand new roof, fixtures all painted, and our grounds *cleaner* than when they arrived. It's as if no one had come, and magically we have a new roof. Just hoping the reinstall and reconnection of the PV panels go well (different vendor). So get your 3-4 estimates and go with these guys; pricing definitely came in competitively. They're really great. Tip: they do have a backlog, a good sign in my book, so plan accordingly, and once you choose your shingle color (many, many to choose from) you'll be all set. If you are looking for a roofing contractor, choose Pacific Coast Roofing. It will be the best decision you make! When my husband and I purchased our house, the previous owners had included a quote from Pacific Coast Roofing as part of the disclosures. After shopping around, ultimately chose to move forward with Pacific Coast Roofing. Pacific Coast Roofing was transparent with all costs upfront. Their pricing is in line with the industry and fair. The quote included dry rot repair (only materials are charged) and replacement of all gutters and downspouts. Other quotes we received charged extra for labor on dry rot repair and gutters/downspouts replacements were an additional cost. Permit fee was extra, and we upgraded to Title 24 compliant shingles and added steel gutter screens. Our house also had solar, and they were able to uninstall/reinstall our panels for us at an additional cost (one less company to coordinate with on our end!) Communication is top notch with Pacific Coast Roofing. All correspondence was over email. The boss man Brian is amazing - lightning fast email responses, knowledgeable, and patiently explained every part of the process in great detail to us. When it was time to choose our shingle colors, Brian emailed us photos of past roofing jobs and also provided us with a list of addresses of houses in our area where they replaced roofs so we can see it in person (extremely helpful seeing the roofs in person). The roofing crew on the day of job were professional. Brian had provided the timeline for the day in a prior email, and the crew followed it to a T. There were about a dozen crew members and 2 foreman (Gary and Johnny). Gary and Johnny are knowledgeable and patiently answered all the questions I had. The crew also went above and beyond - they did paint touch ups on the areas the old gutters were removed and also added an extra vent on the roof when I told them a kitchen range hood will be installed soon. They also corrected a poorly installed plumbing vent from a past installer, which we absolutely appreciated. My property was left in a cleaner state then before the work started! And the crew was fast! They arrived at 8 am, and left before 5 pm. The solar guy, Tom was also fantastic. Tom replaced the wiring, conduit, and replaced the solar panel mounts to better quality ones while he reinstalled our solar panels post roof repair and left our panels in a better shape than how he first found it. I hired Pacific Coast Roofing for rain water leaking into my bathroom. They came and inspected my roof the day after I called. Mike found that the lead flashings cracked allowing rain water to leak in. Brian sent his guys over to complete the work and the attention to detail these guys have is truly amazing! While removing the tiles they found wood that was dry rotted and needed to be replaced. Some of the wood was painted so Leo asked me to get paint so that they could paint the new wood before installing so that it is all color matched. They also resealed my skylight and all the joints to the walls and vents. Once the roof was completed they cleaned out all my gutters as well. They work fast! Arrived by 08:30 and left around 15:00. I basically have a brand new roof now thanks to PCR and can have sum peace of mind for the next rainy season. Once the work was completed I received a PDF file in my email with about 40 detailed pics of the process and what all was done. This was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Of the three roofers contacted, only Brian asked detailed questions and so we felt completely confident of the bid. He managed to do this over email, which was extremely convenient and preferable to text. (They prefer email because cell service is spotty in our area.) When we ran into trouble selecting the right color to match the house roof -- who knew THAT would be hard? -- Johnny came out and figured it out in like five minutes. The crew really went FAR above and beyond: I had asked them to fix a weird corner on the house where rain always missed the gutter.
