The Office staff is professional and courteous the CPO was also amazing and Dr. Stout was professional, personable and kind. I can't say enough kind things she was awesome.. The entire building is spotlessly clean well laid out and very comfortable. There's a huge selection of glasses and it looks to me like they make them on site . what I really love is this is a family run business and NOT a huge corporate conglomerate who could care less about you as a patient or customer but just in your pocketbook. My daughter (6) was having trouble reading the board at school even while wearing her glasses so I decided to bring her here despite two other optometrists insisting that she didn't inherit the BVD. Dr Conte was able to diagnose her with BVD and write her a prescription to help, with the possibility of vision therapy in the future. She has ADHD that we are struggling to treat and she was very hyperactive in his office. Not only was he calm and patient with her but he told us that there's a link between BVD and ADHD and gave us a copy of a book that he wrote about it. So far it is a good read, and it's short and easily understood. Both Doctors are great and we've had good experiences with the rest of the staff as well. They do thorough testing for me for other specialists I see that need to know how my retinas and optic nerves are looking to know the progression of other chronic disorders. I had no idea this kind of eye care even existed previously. I had so many issues with my eyes in battling life long Lyme disease and I was very worried I would lose my eye sight. I interviewed both and had no qualms regarding with the first surgeon's lens replacement recommendation except for the fact it didn't fulfill my need for eliminating the use of contacts or glasses post operatively. The second surgeon, Dr Mueller, listened to my needs, performed a thorough examination, removed the cataracts and inserted a multi focal lens that restored my vision to a 20/20 level I haven't had since I was a teenager. His approach during the initial interview and exam was very thorough, giving me the confidence for accepting him as my surgeon and his recommendations. His surgical skills are beyond exceptional and his office staff, the best I have ever experienced. From the initial check-in to the handling all the insurance and financial paperwork was as smooth as it gets. I was told the glasses did not reflect the prescription I was given. So, I went back to eyebuydirect.com were I purchased & passed on that information. Eyebuydirect provided me with another pair which felt the same to me as the 1st, so I took them to the Sawyer to verify, along with the 1st pair. I was told they both did indeed match my prescription! To say the least, I was not pleased to hear that. I was given no explanation as to why I was told the 1st pair did not reflect my prescription. I was told not to worry & I was given an appointment to have another eye exam, for a new prescription. I sent used my re-issued prescription to get new glasses from eyebuydirect.com The 3rd pair did not work either, so another appointment at the eye center to find out why! I was told I should have cataract surgery. I said the Dr told me I did not need surgery, @ my 1st screening appointment. Then I was told since I was satisfied with my current eye glasses I purchased over 2 years ago, they would just re-issue it again, as a revised prescription. I mentioned that I was concerned the vendor will not provide a free replacement since they already did 3 times! The response I received was, don't worry they will, they do for a re-issued prescription. Well, No they don't, not after they did for re-issued 2 times already. My experience with Sawyer Eye Center of Weatherford couldn't be more frustrating & I am paying the price for it, Not Sawyer. I will not be going back ever & I do not recommend Sawyer Eye Center.
