I am a Surgical nurse and wanted frames that were sporty looking, comfortable and protective, but definitely did not want a progressive lens. Rick found the perfect Ray Ban frame for me and suggested Occupational multi focal lenses which I knew nothing about. The diagrams that he drew to explain the differences in lenses were the best! I am very disappointed with the recent experience I had with Eagle Eye Vision Care. I saw the Dr. Rothberg in the spring and was very pleased. I even referred three of my friends to this practice. Upon my visit in March, I was fitted for and ordered Clariti contacts lenses. After finishing the boxes of Clariti I ordered, and having issues with dry eye, I decided to try Acuvue with lens.com. I've ordered the Acuvue lenses twice, and the prescription has been approved both times by Eagle Eye when Lens.com reached out to verify my prescription. I used these contacts for five months. My eyes are still very dry in the evenings, so after doing some research, I wanted to try the Ciba Vision Dailies Total. I ordered them on Lens.com and then had a representative contact me asking me to call my doctor. When I called I was told that I the prescription was not approved because I was ordering a different lens than the one I ordered at the office visit. I was confused since I had been ordering another brand without any issues for several months. The receptionist said she had to check with Dr. Rothberg to see if he would allow me to purchase this new lens since the base curve was different. I was still a bit confused since I've always tried other brands from other eye doctors in previous states without an issue. (Virginia, Georgia, and North Carolina). Those eye care professionals only required I stay with the same power and always approved the prescription for Lens.com or 1-800 Contacts. When I received the call back from Eagle Eye, I was informed that I would need to come in for a contact fitting at no charge. We discussed possible days I was available to come in, and the receptionist put me on hold to check the schedule. Upon returning to the call 12 minutes later; she said I was last seen in March, "so since it had almost been a year" (it's only been 8 months) I could just schedule my annual visit and that "my eyesight may have changed which could be part of my problem with the other contact lenses." She then said if I still just wanted to come in for the fitting, it would be $60. When I stated that she told me there would be no charge for the fitting, she said she didn't realize how long it had been. She informed me the office policy was that I had 60 days after my appointment to let the doctor know if the contacts did not work in order to have a fitting for a different brand without charge. Then she said, "it's really 90 days because we grant a 30-day grace period to change without charge past the 60 days." I told her that I thought it was poor customer service to tell someone they would not be charged then put them on hold to make the appointment only to return and tell them to either pay for an annual visit or pay $60 for a fitting. I also told her I did not understand why a different brand of lenses was approved by the office TWICE before if I was supposed to come in for another fitting. She told me that I'd likely submitted the prescription near the weekend and Lens.com can fill a prescription if they don't hear back from the doctor's office for 48 hours. I said it was just confusing to me since I had no issues in previous states. She then told me she'd lived in Florida her entire life and it was Florida LAW to order the same brand of lens that appears on the prescription. So why did approve a different brand twice before if it's an actual LAW? I then told her I thought it best for me to find another eye care provider as it is poor customer care to tell someone there wouldn't be a charge (since she did not check the date of my visit prior- her fault) then state it would be $60 or just come in and pay for an annual visit. She just responded with "okay." Then I asked if she would have Dr. Rothberg call me. She then stated she would just check with him to see if he would make an exception and not charge me the $60. I said I would rather speak with him regarding the way this situation was handled. As a former chamber of commerce director, I would want to know when my customers felt they were not treated fairly. This seems like a way to get more money from the customer. It is a shame that my business as a new customer and referrals were not worth more to this practice. Unfortunately, I did not receive a call from Dr. Rothberg and will no longer recommend Eagle Eye to others. I have no choice but to order the original contact lenses prescribed until my eye care insurance renews at the first of the year and I can find another provider. read more

I was referred to Eagle Eye by my insurance provider. Before the appointment, I was very impressed by their reviews on Google and Yelp, and they completely lived up to their reputation. I was fitted for contacts, which wound up to be much better than another prescription I received from another provider only months ago. When my vision insurance changed, I was in need of a new optometrist. I had Lasik 2 years ago and needed to find someone who was on the "list" of approved doctors and Dr Rothberg was it! Located near Hungry Greek, the office is new, up to date, clean, aesthetically pleasing and carries enough options for frames without overtaking the entire lobby area. A newer Doctor, he is up to speed on the latest procedures and best medicine. He is incredibly friendly and personable and I am sure he will do well here. Paid over $400 for glasses in December, it's the end of March and I still have not received my overpriced glasses that took 4 months to make correctly. 5 hours of my time on the phone and countless more warning consumers. I have insurance and still paid over !400 for $69 frames. Which I would have happily taken 3 months ago before I had to go to another facility and was treated like I mattered and received glasses that were correctly manufactured in 5 days. And only $134 without my insurance. What a bargain. I Recommend buying glasses from Walgreens before going here! I wish I'd have read the other reviews first I could have saved $400!!! read more

What I really like was the doctor not only went over vitamins to take but discussed studies on the "why" to take them. Amazing experience, incredible staff! My experience began by calling and scheduling as a new patient with Michele. She was exceptional, to say the least. Went above and beyond for me. Upon arriving to the office, the other girls at the front were very friendly, pleasant and accommodating. The nurse who worked me prior to seeing the doctor was professional, thorough and very sweet. Finally, the doctor himself was a joy. So down-to-earth and kind. He listens and takes his time. I saw him for an acute issue and he prescribed me drops which provided relief the very next day. I wish I established with Eagle Eye sooner. NEVER again will I go to one of those horrible retail optical chains. This is my new home! I'll be returning shortly for my annual eye and contact lens exam. I look forward to ordering new glasses as they seem to carry some pretty attractive men's frames. It was that time of year again when my husband and I needed an eye exam and new frames. We have insurance through NVA and started to look up the different options that excepted our insurance. Then we proceeded to look at online reviews. We decided from our research that Eagle Eye Vision had some of the best reviews as well as the brands and atmosphere we were most comfortable with...and were not disappointed at all. We have tried the big-chain vendors in the past and have been sorely disappointed. It seemed like a chore or something we had to do in the past. We wanted more individualised treatment and did not want to feel like "just a number". Just walking into Eagle Eye Vision we were greeted with big hellos and immediate service. Sasha was our main contact, but everyone that was working would jump in and was so helpful. We never felt like we were being "up sold" or maneuvered to the most expensive eyewear. Everyone took their time to assess what we were trying on and gave their honest opinions. Our eye exam was performed by doctor Rothberg and he was fantastic. He took his time and explained everything and it felt so comprehensive. My husband and I both felt like it was the best experience and we are so comfortable about our choice. I have a difficult prescription and Dr.Rothberg was very understanding of my eye issues. Even with the difficult prescription I was able to leave with trial lenses. Finally made an appointment to get eyes checked I had been putting it off. Picked Eagle Eye because they were close to us. Very pleased with them Dr. Rothberg was a great doctor. Was very good at explaining everything and answering the questions of someone that had never had glasses before. Had a slight issue with the first set of sunglass lenses which he had them correct and now they are perfect. Can now read the magazine print again. Absolutely awesome! I went to Eagle Eye Vision Care on a whim- it was accepted by my insurance and wasn't Wal-Mart (no thanks). Dr. Andrew Rothberg and Samantha (who works up front) are amazing- very professional, super welcoming and very helpful. They helped me try on glasses and didn't push me to buy anything. When I decided to keep the frames I already had they were more than understanding! They allow you to pay half now and half when you pick up your glasses (assuming contacts as well). I called the office and let them know and they told me to come on in that it would be ok. When I went in to the office I was greeted immediately with smiles from the two girls and I felt very comfortable. Dr Rothberg did my eye exam and he explained everything and was very thorough. I recently had my bi-annual eye exam with Dr. Rothberg. I couldn't be more satisfied with an eye exam. It appears he is using the latest technology and the greatest difference I see between him and other exams I have had is that he actually explains what he is doing and why.
