To start they are a "safe" site. Mask wearing protecting staff and clients. Frame cleaning extraordinaire and absolutely friendly, competent professionals on all levels. For me, the strength of anyone's reputation is their ability to garner accolades but also when individually and as a business they can admit errors and offer solutions. Visionary Eye Care did both. I am very impressed with their integrity. Not often found! They will have my eye care business from now on. My optician was Timothy. Easy to talk to and professional as expected. A good human being. I also need to give a shout out to Reagan. She was there for the assist. And because I don't recall the name of the other optician that sits across from Timothy, but she has always been gracious and of service. The eye exam I recently got here was extremely comprehensive. No more puffs in your eyes no more trying to put the light up close to your pupils this was incredibly automated and gave the doctor a full you'll forgive the pun Birdseye view of the eyeball inside and out. After the exam the doctor sat down with me and went through everything from my capillaries to my iris to the pressure in my eyes to the strength and stamina of my cones and rods and you know what I mean! The office is beautiful they have with a tremendous amount of high end eyeglass frames. So as we continue the saga of finding really good doctors in Tampa, I happened to stumble upon Doctor Jennifer Cook. I've gone to an optical outlet store, like LensCrafters or some other chain, but I really wanted a professional to look at my eyes and make sure that there was nothing wrong. Finding the place was pretty easy as it's right next door to the Dollar Tree store in Lutz. Extremely convenient and of course lots of parking. So I go in and it looks like a salon or part of someone's home . I absolutely loved it! It felt very personable like you are welcomed in somebody's home as the staff came and greeted you at the door. Now mind you, I read all the reviews about Dr. Cook and I loved what I read. I have been waiting 3 months to see her and I must say it was not only worth the wait but worth every penny! So they bring me through the process of signing the papers for HIPAA, brought me into examine my eyes and take the normal test for glaucoma, and then I only had to wait about 10 minutes to see the doctor. While I was waiting, this beautiful dog named Bosco came to greet me! What an adorable english bulldog and only 10 months old. I got to pet him and see him spring into action. There was a playroom for kids and Bosco came out of the playroom on a little scooter! OMG! I just couldn't help but laugh. The office also had massage chairs in case you didn't want to sit in the traditional chair. There was also coffee, soda and water available as well. So I went in to see Dr Cook and we discussed all my concerns and what I was looking for in both a pair of glasses and contacts. She was extremely thorough and explained everything to me in detail. She was very personable and funny too! Bosco even got to join us as well. So again if you're really considering going to see a great professional optometrist she would be it. You will never find me going to an outlet like America's Best or LensCrafters to get my eyes checked out again. She also takes most Vision plans like VSP but I would call ahead and ask her staff to make sure that you are covered. It's definitely worth seeing her and worth the wait. read more

I had found Visionary Eye Care through doing extensive Googling as a new Florida resident. I was certainly not disappointed. The office has a wow factor when you walk in. It is immaculate, bright, and airy. The staff was incredibly friendly and made sure I felt welcomed. I had the pleasure of meeting both Doctors who are amazing. I was given an explanation of everything that was going on during my visit as well an education. I fell very taken care of. I also loved how creative the staff was when it came time to pick out my frames. They have a high quality selection to choose from. Fun thing is I ended up with a pair of sunglasses with clear frames and I couldn't be any happier with how they turned out. This wouldn't be a complete review unless I mentioned that there is an incredibly adorable bull dog in the office. I 100% recommend Visionary Eye Care. read more

Great place, nice staff but I'm a little disappointment with the cleanliness of their equipment. I went in for an exam and by evening time I had an infection in my eye due to the dirty equipment. In a pandemic this is 100% unacceptable. read more

I had an appointment with Dr Brady Cook on Friday 10/4 for an eye exam. She was very knowledgeable and able to answer all of my questions. She helped me realize that my current prescription was too strong for me, and that a variable progressive with an anti fatigue lens should help ease my migraines that are caused by the eye strain. I'm very happy with her and her office staff, and I will be returning next week to select my frames and order my glasses. Tried making appointments after being a patient here for multiple years and was told my insurance wasn't coming up as a billable plan which I know is a mistake on their end and when I tried explaining this to them they got defensive. When I said if you can't fix this I will take my son elsewhere they said fine go and hung up. If this is how you treat returning customers that's really bad customer service! As soon as I walked in the door I realized I wasn't seeing your typical optometrist. I was checked in immediately, offered a drink and to wait in one of the massage chairs. I chose to visit with the bulldog. I was brought to the pre-exam room within minutes for the usual, but it was anything but. The state-of-the-art equipment was impressive. By the time I hung my purse (on a purse hook no less) and sat down, Dr. Brady Cook was in the room. She was funny, straight forward and provided the most thorough eye exam I've ever had. Not only did she take the time to address every question she offered various suggestions and options. Choosing my glasses was another highlight of the visit. I had the pleasure to find Dr Michael Cook. He has an enourmous patient. He worked with my poor vision and difficult to fit eyes for as long as it took to fit my contacts. I went to him as my last hope. I haven't found a brand of contacts that are comfortable and allow me to see clear., and believe me, I had been trying for at least 20 years to get rid of my glasses, or at least not to wear them full time. I found out Dr Cook was a provider for Wave lenses and went to him. I believe he really enjoys his work and is not afraid of a challenge. The staff is really good, never came across anyone rude. I've been seeing the same optometrist for nearly 16 years but felt it was time for a change (for various reasons). After a lengthy search for something better and for someone with more expertise for what I needed, I found Visionary Eye Care. I'm SO glad I did!!! From scheduling the appointment to a follow up call on my part, the whole experience has been a dream. I was warmly greeted immediately upon entering and offered a drink, more than once. My exam was extremely thorough. All the rooms are very clean and the staff is super friendly. I sat in a massage chair while I waited to see Dr. Cook. I have a small purse dog that I generally take anywhere I can but chose to leave her at home. I was thrilled to learn that I could have brought her because Joseph, the resident Bulldog, is on site as well. Its always wonderful to get to interact with animals so having him there was a treat. Dr. Cook was very thorough in her explanations, wasn't the least bit rushed and was very patient as we found the right combination of lenses for my new multifocal contacts. I new this was what I wanted and didn't want to trust just anyone. I needed someone with more expertise and she was it! A few years ago, I went to Dr Cook for the first time... and after having been to many different eye doctors for the last 25 years, she is the first one to have ever diagnosed me with a condition that could have been treated with therapy earlier in childhood. I agree with other reviewers about the lack of customer service. I ended up with a contact lens prescription that I can't use because they wouldn't work with me to find the right lenses. I spent a lot of money here because I had an exam and both of my kids did as well. I also purchased glasses for my son. They still couldn't take the time to help me find the right lens prescription. read more
