Pleasantly surprised how nice EMC is now. Hadn't been there in a while and compare to new Hard Rock, it has better landscaping, fun slots and more customer interaction. If I could leave minus stars i would. Went up to the bar because everything was pretty much closed at 9pm. Long line but when we arrived to the front 5 minutes, we kept getting skipped and bartenders were helping their friends in back of us. I asked if we were going to get helped 10 minutes later and they tried to ignore me when finally the one that let everybody cut in front of us, nodded yes that he would help us and still Didnt. They are building a resort and we will not visiting that or this casino again. If you aren't their friends, take your ice chest. Being misgendered once might be a mistake -- being misgendered repeatedly, even after correcting staff, is blatant disrespect. What made it worse was the dismissive attitude. New area. It was easy getting there. There was tons of parking, although we had to park on dirt. The inside felt smaller to me than the old location. The slot machines and chairs felt too close together, if a person was sitting in one slot and another person was sitting behind them on a slot, then noone could walk through them because some of the isles were too small. I'm not sure if there were designated smoke areas, but some areas of the casino smelled stronger than other areas. It took a while for the waitresses to come around, perhaps they were understaffed. We got two alcoholic drinks for $14( pricey if you ask me). Of course, it was a lot of fun while I was winning, but once we lost, it wasn't fun anymore ;) read more

I am so happy this location finally opened closer to Bakersfield and not having to drive the windy road of the former. The outer location is fresh and clean, plenty of parking. There is a staff member driving around in a people mover that offers rides to the entrance. Definitely welcome! Once you enter, you get Vegas vibes no doubt! The interior space is open and airy. Lots of machines, card tables and FOOD! Several restaurants, alcoholic bar, coffee gift shop, and event center! They cut down ALL the regulars bonuses, then cut out the soldier game on the Kiosk, then cut off the Seniors weekly $20 bonus that was stated to last till the end of the year. Checked out the new casino today for my friend's birthday. Closer to Bakersfield. Easier drive not having to go up that windy mountain road. It's new and beautiful. Eagle Mountain is definitely trying to elevate itself. It's no longer that shabby place at the top of the hill. Shiny new machines are everywhere. They now have a few eating area options. A hotel is in the works and valet will be running soon. Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff everywhere. It was nice. First off, food. An area for sandwiches, salads and coffees. Then, an area for Asian noodles, Italian dishes and pizza. A tap house. A steak house. Gone are the hot dogs, burritos, chicken strips and pizza. We were bummed. None of the food appealed. We were directed to the Tap Room where there were more choices, we were told. Restaurant is shiny and new. Lots of tvs. Lots of seating. The menu was basic bbq. Not exactly what we were in the mood for, but we tried it any way. I ordered a brisket sandwich which came with fries and slaw. My friend ordered the pulled pork meal with beans and Texas toast. Food arrived pretty quickly. My sandwich was stacked high with brisket, pickles and red onions. The meat was dry. The top bun was nice and tasty. Bottom bun was soggy. My slaw came in a warm mini cast iron skillet. Warm? Not sure why, but I didn't eat it. My fries need a couple minutes more in the fryer. My friend said her meat was dry, too. The beans were cold and she was unimpressed by the soggy toast. Not the best food experience. The casino had many machines. Lots of pretty lights. Many games to choose from. We lost big time. Yesterday I drove up to this casino with my brother. This place was listed as closed, but I thought I would take the chance and make the drive here and I am glad I did. This place is opened! Besides having several areas of slot and gaming machines they also have a coffee shop. In another building next to the Casino they have a food court and a Steakhouse. Talking with the security man he said the steakhouse is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. He said the steaks here are really good. I plan on coming back here with my wife and trying out the food. I have read most of the reviews and most of them are very positive about this place. Great place to be!! My wife and I are here at least once a week and we love every minute of it. It's clean and yes they allow smoking but we got use to it and the machines use to be too close to each other but now they've rearranged everything a whole lot better. The shows here are Awsome way better than other casinos I've been at and even better than my home convention center.The sound system is top notch and the bass on the recent Ice Cube show was loud in a good way made my heart pound which was nice explosive experience loved every minute of it.
