This cabin is a gem! Such a beautiful cozy yet spacious cabin! Most amazing views you could possibly get in Big Bear! It doesn't get any better! The back porch is amazing. The owners went above and beyond to make sure this place is everything anyone would want in a cabin. It's so comfortable, and very modern and clean. Fully loaded kitchen with all the amenities you would need for cooking a family meal. Amazing beds, enough space for a big group! You will not be disappointed! We went in the winter and made awesome memories! I can't wait to go back in the summer!

I wanted to plan a much needed getaway for my husband and a few other friends.. after going through all the cabins on pretty much every vacation rental website I stumbled upon Eagle Peak! I was so delighted that the decor was not like your typical Big Bear cabin, its rustic and modern but still has a cozy cabin feel. I am horrible with directions even with a GPS, but finding the cabin was a breeze. Just remember to check the local big bear sites if chains are required for driving up the mountain. I was worried about the space since we were a party of 9 but when we arrived I loved how spacious the rooms are since everyone was able to hangout or do there own thing without feeling overcrowded. The location was very close to the slopes and about 5 mins from the village. I highly recommend going to the Copper Q for pastries they are delicious! The cabin was fully stocked for cooking so we were able to get food from the store and make dinner, after a long day of snowboarding it was nice to just curl up by the fire have some wine and hangout. Overall we had an amazing experience and are definitely coming back during the summer for mountain biking!

Staying warm and cozy inside :)

We had a great time at this cabin - great location - hiking trails located close by, as well as the golf course and the village.

The room is... interesting. When I walked in, I did what a normal person would do: explore. We had two bedrooms and two bathrooms downstairs. Upstairs is the kitchen stocked with cups, pots, ovens, microwave, etc. etc. The living room is also upstair with an extra restroom. There is also a frig, in case u were wondering. After moving our food and luggages in, I pulled the curtains to the side to get some light in. The curtain rods fell on the ground and one of the curtains fell. I put up the curtain rod again and went to put on the fire because there are no heaters upstairs. When it was warm enough, I started to cook. I got the pots out and they looked so scary! Inside the bottom of the pots are all scratch up. I tried to look for a clean pot and found something decent. It was a little hard to sleep because I can hear everything. When my neighbors are walking around, I think someone is entering through the door. Anyways, I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. The room itself wasn't super bad. The fact that they forced me to stay an extra day made me mad.

Downstairs you pass a little drawbridge with a "moat" (with water!) to a dining area with long table where the kitchenette area is, replete with ice machine, Brita pitcher, sink, mini fridge, microwave, keurig and a restroom. Upstairs is the bedroom, with a gargoyle overlooking and statue of king and queen. Some of the lights and sconces are broken or missing, the knight no longer works. We were tripping out hard when I flipped the switches by the swing and the blue lights and moat began spewing water down fountain by the kitchen. This was amazing. I was literally jumping up and down when we entered the place. I am so impressed by how cool this place is, even with the things over time that have fallen into disrepair the detail overall is nothing short of impressive. Not sure how anyone can complain about something like this. The shower head has a rainfall head, the stones in the shower, to the shape of the mirror, it was all intentional. I saw nothing "icky" in selecting the specific stone-like accoutrements to complement the theme. There's a tv in the bedroom but why would you even wanna watch tv in a castle garden? COME ON! Loved the vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, flickering lights, ambiance - we put on Celtic music and enjoyed the peace away from the city. This isnt even our first day here I just couldn't wait to update my review. I happened to get his and her house slippers as one of the anniversary gifts for my bf and it worked out perfectly to grace our castle floors. Highly recommended!

From the beginning to the end we had the best experience. The mansion has so much history, is perfect to accommodate multiple families with en suites, huge kitchen, many places to relax, and plenty to do. We had kids from ages 4 to 10. We thought we would run out of things for them to do. Not at all. The mansion is so huge, they had plenty of room to stretch out, the hills on the property provided for fun sledding and snowman building. The adults were either at the sauna, jacuzzi, kitchen, outside in the snow walking the 2 acres of property or just relaxing in one of the many comfy nooks. I highly recommend Edgewood Mansion for any type of event whether it's a birthday trip, family reunion, corporate retreat or any other purpose where you want to feel like you're at home, or provided for like a Queen. The location which is located higher up in the mountains is away from the traffic. The accommodations are immaculate and the concierge services provided by Chantal who was available to us 24/7 before we got there and during, was spot on. We catered instead of cooking which was so much easier on everyone so we could enjoy each other's company versus cooking. Chantal gave us choices and she had Mexican food delivered one night, Italian catered another and on New Years Eve we had a personal chef, Mike who is a master chef create the most delicious surf and turf dinner. We had piles of Alaskan king crab legs and the freshest, tastiest filet. Everything was provided. This was an amazing trip because of where we stayed, the owner Laura who was so accommodating and Chantal who was so helpful. Our friends have not stopped thanking us for coordinating this trip. We all got to spend time together with the kids together and not feeling overwhelmed because everything was at our fingertips. Thank you to Laura, Chantal, Irvin and the maintenance crew, Sherri our housekeeper and the magical Edgewood Mansion.

What I noticed about the location of this cabin was that it was further away from the heavy tourist areas but close enough to grocery stores, restaurants and shops. So if you are looking for peace and quiet this is the perfect getaway from the everyday stresses of life. This cabin includes a living room with a cute fireplace, a small but full kitchen with a eating area, full bathroom (water pressure is good and it heats up pretty quickly), a bedroom with a closet, access to the backyard, a front porch and a cozy loft with a flatscreen TV that I didn't touch once. I was primarily there solo to detox from the busy life of Los Angeles and not to ski since I was there beginning of May. Snuggle Bear Cabin had everything I needed to detox. I laid out my yoga mat and meditation pillow upstairs in the loft and it had an inviting view of tall trees out the window. It was a perfect environment to reflect on life, letting all creative juices flow, read and write. The solitude was exceptionally welcome. The final full day that I was there, my boyfriend came up to join me. And really...all we did was snuggle. I highly recommend this beautiful cabin for anyone to deeply relax and enjoy the natural wonders of Big Bear. Thank you, Melia, for his wonderful experience.
