The pictures are exactly what you get. It's a cute 1 bedroom cabin with an upstairs loft. The good thing about this place is it's not as old as some other cabins. Not overly decorated or cluttered...it's simplistic/minimal. During the day, we stayed upstairs with our 9 month old son. It's carpeted so it was easy for him to crawl around and play while we watched movies from Redbox. The kitchen had all the basic amenities and it was easy to use all the appliances. We brought food with us in a small cooler so we were able to cook our meals without having to go out to town. During the night, we stayed in the tempurpedic queen-size bed. There were extra portable heaters in the closet which came in handy during the cold, snowy nights. The fireplace kept the place nice and toasty (just make sure you get a fire-starter and some fire wood). The location of this cabin is great; we drove to The Village and Boulder Bay Park. There's also Vons and Stater Bros for groceries and a Starbucks nearby. The slopes are close by but we weren't able to go boarding at this time because of our baby. Overall, we enjoyed our short stay. But there is one thing I wanted to point out...As part of the property rental agreement, just remember to take out your trash with you when you leave. I found that sort of weird because our car was fully packed with our luggages and there was no room for us to drive our trash out and dump it to the 2 locations. I did call the housekeeper to let them know when I was checking out. I was hesitant at first due to the lack of Yelp reviews; but look into their TripAdvisor reviews also. If you're going to Big Bear definitely book this adorable cabin!

She even shared helpful local resources like bensweather.com for updates from their local meteorologist and pointed me to where to check road conditions, then followed up with an email including everything to make it easy. She also gave the best cabin recommendations tailored to what we were looking for. You can just tell she genuinely loves helping people. She makes you feel less like a customer and more like family. Not much rental activity except in the winter, damage to the property that went unreported by housekeeping, and just the general vibe that our small cabin was a very low priority for them. Finally, we made the decision to change management this summer after we completed a remodel. I found Leanne in a Big Bear FB group online along with several other PMs who responded to a post I made about looking for new management. Leanne was the only one who provided helpful, tangible information when she reached out to me. We spoke and then I decided she and SkyHigh cabins would be our new managers. The onboarding process was smooth and detailed. They are extremely professional and walked me through the different stages of getting ready to "go live" on the various platforms they use. It took about 6 weeks to get everything completely switched over. But when we did go live in mid-October 2025, all I can say is WOW!! We've had 12 reservations made in just over a week's time! We didn't have 12 reservations in the last year total with the old company, so this has been very, very exciting for us. Aside from all of that, Leanne, Jennifer and their team are very communicative and helpful. If you are looking for new management, I cannot recommend them enough. Just do what they tell you to do, use their vendors, and follow their lead. They have figured out the algorithms and rental platforms to such a degree that your property will actually start to pay for itself. The room is... interesting. When I walked in, I did what a normal person would do: explore. We had two bedrooms and two bathrooms downstairs. Upstairs is the kitchen stocked with cups, pots, ovens, microwave, etc. etc. The living room is also upstair with an extra restroom. There is also a frig, in case u were wondering. After moving our food and luggages in, I pulled the curtains to the side to get some light in. The curtain rods fell on the ground and one of the curtains fell. I put up the curtain rod again and went to put on the fire because there are no heaters upstairs. When it was warm enough, I started to cook. I got the pots out and they looked so scary! Inside the bottom of the pots are all scratch up. I tried to look for a clean pot and found something decent. It was a little hard to sleep because I can hear everything. When my neighbors are walking around, I think someone is entering through the door. Anyways, I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. The room itself wasn't super bad. The fact that they forced me to stay an extra day made me mad.
